Loved Chef Jen, we were really excited to work with her for our wedding. Wrote her a check that she was unable to cash because our bank put a hold on our account when we went out of town for our honeymoon.
We realize this was a huge inconvenience for Chef Jen, but the way she handled it made us feel pretty bad. See picture of text message for an excerpt of our exchange with Chef Jen. She thanked us for our «measly cheap ass» tip.
Not only did we use her for our wedding, but we have referred her for multiple events that she has since booked with our friends & family. Pretty disappointing that this is the way she has chosen to conduct herself.

Amazing time amazing food and great people, i recently took my mom to chef Jennifers cooking class and my mother was surprised cause i didn’t tell her she would actually be cooking after a couple of mins she jumped right in she met alot of very nice people she learned some new dishes and she can’t stop talking about her experience at this class. On top of all that the good was amazing everything chef jen put on the menu was great and delicious. I recommend chef jen for anyone that wants to eat great food and wants to be in a great atmosphere of really nice people. All i can say is when moms is happy I’m happy and now i can’t get her to stop talking about when are we going back and who else can we bring. Great job chef jen and the rest of the cooking thyme staff.

I hired Jennifer three years ago for my father’s last birthday in the South Bay. He was a foodie and hung around with a bunch of high falootin’ doctors his whole life and they loved her food! I hired her again for his wake, which was lovely. I mention both because they were contrasting events; one celebration of a man who lived 86 years and the other a party to send him off to the big party in the sky. She was a talented chef, a seasoned professional and a tremendous help in stressful situations. I hired her for my «BIG» birthday this weekend and she came out to Woodland Hills, 35 miles away, AND out did herself. I’ve planned and executed parties from twelve to 250 guests and she is FANTASTIC. The theme was «Disco» so she worked up a menu that was food from famous clubs of the era. IT WAS FABULOUS and judging by the raves of my guests, Jennifer and I threw the party of the year! I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Chef Jen is my FAVORITE!!! I’ve used her on several occasions. She did a cooking class with my daughter and her best friends, Christmas Eve at my house and Birthday Parties for friends, one at my house. I already have her booked for Christmas Eve 2015, so don’t even thing about taking her! She’s catering an upcoming Birthday Party for my friends 60^th in March, which I’m really looking forward to.
I love Chef Jen and have passed her name out to many, even this week at the gym.

I had chef Jen cater my party and was very pleased with her service highly recommended to any one. Every body loved everything on the menu.

We used Chef Jennifer Story, owner Cookin’ Thyme for my daughter’s bridal shower in November 2014. She came very, very highly recommended by several people including my children. Wow! Amazing fresh food with incredible perfect flavor. We asked for Hawaiian cuisine to match our theme. Was so pleased with display and layout. She even had cards describing the food w/​suggestions of how to use the sauces, etc. One of the hits was the edible wasabe spoons with the freshest Poke ever!!! Desserts were of their own creation, and how she put them together in individual ways was truly genius! Jennifer and her staff — off the charts professional, friendly and interactive with us all day. We had 65 guests, and I don’t think there was one person who didn’t give mention to the food, and they still do. In fact, several are now faithful followers on FB. Her staff left the place cleaner than it was when they arrived! So happy to have discovered this amazing company, and have no need to search further for caterer at our next event! THE BEST! Catering event was OTT (over the top). Received compliment on compliment for selecting Cookin Thyme. Jen and her staff are amazing. Not to mention the food. I have worked with many caterers from Patina to Chasen’s to The Depot. and Jen is definitely in the same league.
