Great burgers at good prices. Wasn’t too crowded when we went on Friday for lunch. Will be returning.

I LOVE this place!!! Everything that I’ve had been tasty. My favorite is the Classic Burger with Cheddar Cheese. The meat is flavorful and cooked to perfection; with the added trimmings it’s the perfect burger. The Cowboy Burger is a great choice as well! I usually get a combo with onion rings while my daughter gets fries with her favorite dipping sauce. Also, their chili cheese fries are scrumptious. I’ve also had breakfast here which for sure won’t disappoint you. I LOVE their breakfast burritos. Their two egg breakfast with your choice of meat and potatoes is also a hit. Trust me this food is delicious! I’m here at least once a week. The staff are friendly and ensure that your food is to your liking. Should there be a need for adjustments to your food they make it happen without any issue.

I had a taste for a turkey burger and found this place on Unilocal. Small, clean eat-in or take out restaurant with patio seating nestled in the heart of Lawndale, in the South Bay region of Los Angeles. You can’t miss the place. It’s right across the street from the city’s City Hall, Library and Community Center. Peer around the corner and you’ll see that it’s a quiet, tree lined residential area. I park out front and walk in. The friendly Latina behind the counter greeted me and I ordered a bacon and cheese burger with a turkey patty and turkey bacon. I got an onion ring combo with a drink added. I’m normally not an onion ring girl, but thought I’d take a risk and walk on the wild side. I was in an adventurous mood. Even though it was a bit chilly in LA, I sat outside on the patio and the food was hand delivered to me on a silver tray with a checkered place matting. First. The onion rings appeared heavily breaded and after one bite I could tell they were over cooked for my taste. I’m not one of those folks who likes to eat my meat with blood dripping down but I also don’t want things too cooked where I can’t taste its flavor. So I run back in and the cook and cashier both immediately look worried. They immediately ask me if everything is alright. I explain. They quickly offer to re-cook a new batch not so hard. I throw in the towel on my adventurous quest and ask for French fries. Second. I come back out with my burger and I can see it’s a frozen patty burger. Eh. Turn off. I thought it would be fresh. I bite down. Not bad. The turkey bacon was amiss but everything else was solid except the burger itself. It had that frozen patty taste and feel on my palette. So why the 4 stars? Because where the onion rings and patty were missing, the customer service supplemented. These people were genuinely kind hearted folks. You just feel the love when you walk in and that, my friends, is priceless.

This is a great little neighborhood spot. I do worry that it might not stay in business as long as it deserves to due to it being kind of hard to find/not terribly visible, but it’s a really well-run establishment. The Blue Boy is absolutely delicious, especially with some of their homemade jalapeño ranch on the side. I’d buy an entire bottle of the stuff if they sold it! Excellent!

Well you know what they say, «Don’t judge a book by its cover». Thats what I’d use to describe this place. From the outside it seems as if their burgers are the most delicious burgers that fell on the face of this earth, but in reality it’s probably one of the driest and most tasteless burgers that has fell on the face of this earth. Take it from me I have had my share of delicious burgers. This place was just not one of them. Also the restaurant is a bit too small probably not a good idea to take the whole family. Although they do have a patio out front. Staff was friendly, only reason I gave them three stars.

I am so glad I get to write an update, seeing that I now work very close to this place too! The business has prospered since I first tried them, and they also now have more items on their menu. They have expanded their selections, and they now offer more salads, crepes, breakfast items, and smoothies. They have daily specials as well. My go-to order is the Chicken Caesar Salad. Oh my goodness. I don’t usually rave about salads, but this one is ah-ma-zing. Huge serving, with lots of fresh-off-grill chicken and shaved parmesan. It’s so good! Pair that with the Acai smoothie with soy, and you’ve got yourself an awesome lunch. This place gets packed, especially during lunch time so I highly recommend calling them and ordering for pick-up. If you work in Lawndale Plaza or City Hall, they actually give you a discount too ;)

I thought the burgers were just ok. For some reason I bitch when I have to pay for a $ 10 burger but don’t mind paying for it at a bar. This is a small place with limited seating inside. Service was very good however and again the burger is average.

People here are very nice, so glad I stopped by. I might come here again if I’m in the area, burger was all right probably not all the hype like I see on Unilocal for me. While my taste could be different from yours, it’s worth your while to stop by and try it out and see what you think.

Loved it! Tried a few different items on the menu(burgers, breakfast burritos) and everything is on point. Don’t know why this place isn’t more popular but that means it’s not packed, which is good. Only thing I didn’t care for as much were the fries(they were still quite good, just nothing special), but if they could fix that, they’d get a perfect 5 stars from me.

If you’re looking for a good local burger joint(though they have many non burger foods), then this is the place. The buns were delicious but the meat to bun ratio is a bit small. Also, some of the burgers could use a tad bit more sauce but that’s not a huge complaint. They also ask you how you want your burger patties. I enjoyed the Horchata latte while my sister enjoyed her Iced Horchatta latte. It was yummy! It wasn’t too sweet and has that hint of cinnamon. I ordered the Cowboy Burger(pretty much like a Carl’s Jr. Western Burger but better). The onion rings in the burger were crispy and I did not have to worry about the onions sliding out as I take each bite. MMMmm As for as South Bay area, my top favorite is Standing room, then this and Oh My Burger. Note: This is also right by the library. You can always read and eat! :)

I came to this site because it is close to work, the amount of food that was given was perfect especially for the price, the quality of food was great. The only reason why i do not give it a 5 star is because i came at lunch time and i ordered my food and then others that arrived after me where getting their food first. But i will try coming here again.

To start, I was between 3 and 4 stars. I went 4 because I would legit eat this breakfast burrito again, but if you get the bacon burrito, don’t expect a ton of bacon… Or even what I would consider a normal amount. Anyway, I started the morning off hangry. After present wrapping and cleaning, Greg asked what I wanted for breakfast, to which I immediately replied, a breakfast burrito. He tried to sway me with a healthy home-cooked breakfast. My husband regretted suggesting anything other than what hangry me wanted. He quickly found this place, and off we went. As soon as we got close I realized we had been here maybe a year earlier for burgers. No memory of my thoughts or feelings on the experience, I was excited to eat their food. As I mentioned earlier, I got the bacon burrito. I also got a small OJ. The burrito was big, the potatoes, peppers, eggs, we’re all very tasty and not overly greasy as all. The only thing I was really disappointed in was the quantity of bacon. That’s a pretty important taste contributor to what I expect from a breakfast burrito, and it just wasn’t really there. Needless to say, I would eat it again, but with different expectations.

Juice falling from the patty, check. Thicker patty than your normal drive thru, check. Something other than a sesame seed bun, check. Now for the critical moment. There are lots of burger joints out there with similar qualities, so what is it then that makes one place stand out among the rest? It can be either the AMAZING sauce that ties all the ingredients together or that one visit you make when the meat is so flat, so bad, and so awful, that’s all you remember the place by. For Corner Burger, in my opinion, would be the thickness of the bun to patty ratio. You have a lot of bun action going on and that’s ok. At least they are not bad buns. It helps to tear some of the bun and then eat the whole thing so you don’t get too much bun in your mouth at once. On a serious note, if you like meat, then you will like this kind of place. Let me explain. Most burgers out there are crowded with toppings where the meat serves as a «compliment» to the burger and not as a wonderful neighbor with even partings of all the action. Corner Burger’s burgers have a generous meat to topping ratio, which probably explains the size of the buns. This does not mean that they skimp out on the toppings, it means there is a lot of meat to go around. Both visits I have experienced a burger that felt like a meat burger with complimentary ingredients and toppings. Depending on how you like your burger, this can be a for sure win or a tease for wanting to experience the entire package and all its contents. The price range is NOT expensive. Between roughly $ 5.50 and $ 8 for basic and signature burgers is not bad at all. You definitely receive what you pay for, no fries needed. The service, very friendly. They will check to see how you are doing if you choose to dine with them. Honestly, pretty nice people. Corner Burger is not a wow factor, but it definitely satisfies. I will definitely return to try their other signature burgers.

To be completely honest, I wasn’t exactly thrilled to give this place a try. As much as I love breakfast and burgers, I’ve been finding myself bored with the simole idea of them. Why did I come here for breakfast you ask? Well, I just got off work, my tummy was rumbling to the deepest parts of my bowels, and my friend who also worked the night shift was feeling burgers for breakfast. Being the honorable man that I am, I went with whatever she wanted. Before stepping in, I found myself trying to minimize what had been disturbing to me at first so I can keep an open mind and enjoy the food to the fullest. It’s wasn’t laudable of me, but hey, it’s the heart that counts. All my preconceived notions of the idea I had of this place dispersed as quickly as it initially formulated in my mind. This place was small and cute. I can’t imagine it hoarding the masses during a zombie apocalypse, but I felt that it had much love and character. Not to mention the girl working the counter this morning and the master chef. They were absolutely wonderful and charming. They checked in with us frequently to make sure we were satisfied and our bellies were thoroughly being filled. Let’s get to the food!!! Breakfast Burger 5⁄5 This delicate package fit so beautifully in my manly hands. So beautiful, juicy, and precious. Aside from the magical buns and the perfectly grilled, flavorful, and mouthwatering patty all burgers should come with, the breakfast burger was also equipped with bacon, provolone, and two fried eggs… eggs…eggs…eggs…EGGS. I can’t say it enough. I LOVEEGGS. Especially when they ooze and drip all over the place. The messier and dirtier the better I always say. Everything was well balanced. None of the ingredients competed for each other. They simply came as a symphony forming the most harmonious of tastes. This burger truly meets their vision of producing the most delicious burger in town. This breakfast burger truly meets their desires. Southwest burger 3⁄5 Unfortunately, this burger was a bit of a miss for me. It had some good flavor components, but unlike the harmonious breakfast burger, I found the green and yellow chili peppers to be over powering. I’m all for a powerful spicy kick in my burgers, but I don’t think this was executed quite well. Perhaps my friend, Jennifer, is to blame. She ordered her patty medium well… who does that? It’s quite alright though. I’ll forgive her. Sweet potato fries 5⁄5 Okay…YAAAAAASSSSSSSS! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!! These fries have it going on!!! Want to make the most delicious fries in town? I haven’t tried all the fries in town… but these were spectacular. What a great attempt to achieve such a ambitious goal. Each and every fry was fried to perfection. Each crispy yet soft, sweet and counteracted perfectly with salt. Sooo beautifully balanced and well seasoned. I loved it. SOADDICTING. Dipping sauces 5⁄5 Aside from the jalapeño ranch and the chipotle mayo sauces, which were both amazing, I had the privilege of trying their sriracha infused sauce. I couldn’t find any mentions of it in other reviews… perhaps it’s a new sauce? You should definitely ask for it when you give this place a try! I loooove spicy! And boy oh boy was this sauce on the spicier side. The complemented the fries and the burgers so incredibly well. You all know I’m a big sauce man. I am well pleased hehehehehehhehehhe. Dulce De Leche Crêpe 3.5÷5 Again, great flavor profile. I really appreciated the play in textures in this item. From the soft bananas and the crunchy almonds to the foamy whipped cream and the caramel drizzle, they all worked together to produced something fun and exciting. What I found lacking was the delivery system, the crêpe itself. The consistency and the taste was off. It came a bit too chewy and a bit too floury in taste. Perhaps the batter needed some work? It was also a bit in the sweet side… and I loooove sweets. Overall, I give this place a 4.5. Come and shiw this place some love!!! It may be a bit difficult to find initially but it shouldn’t prove to be too difficult of a task with a trusty GPS!!! WOOT!!!

My girl has been raving about this place for a long time, she finally brought me here. I ordered the classic burger with bacon and cheese, I made it a combo with a drink and fries. The hype and raving was real! The burger was delicious. I had swiss cheese in the burger. The bun was so soft. The fries were delicious, which were ordered unsalted. They asked how you want your burger cooked, I went with well done. I definitley have to go back to try out some more burgers like the breakfast burger(includes 2 eggs) and the Southwest burger(with onion rings in it). Oh, I also have to try the smoothies! Keep in mind they actually serve breakfast as well. I can’t wait to go back. The place was not hard to find, it was right on the corner in front of the Lawndale library. Nice looking neighborhood!

Great burger spot. Lots of toppings and combinations to choose from. We went a while back, and they have expanded the menu and upgraded the options a bit. I had the southwest burger and added guacamole. It was really good. I really don’t think I needed the guacamole, because with the jalapeños and pepper jack, there was already tons of flavor. The sweet potato fries were very tasty also, I recommend dipping them in the chipotle sauce. The only reason I withheld the last star was that my husband’s chili cheese fries could have had more cheese.

Awesome!!! Not only is this a cute place to dine, but it’s located in a very nice area as well. It’s attached to a really quiet apartment building(I wanna move there… LOL), across the street from the City of Lawndale Community Center, City Hall, and Library. This place is a true gem! The food was fantastic as well! I ordered the #6 Blue Boy Turkey Burger(minus the bacon… I don’t eat pork), a side of Chili Cheese Fries, and a lemonade. My boyfriend had the #2 Turkey Cheese Burger combo with regular fries(so crunchy & delicious!), and a root beer. The buns were soft, the burger was juicy, and the chili was really good(not too salty and not greasy). Let’s just say this. We will be back to try more items from their menu because the food was totally worth eating, the prices were reasonable, the staff was so friendly(I was excited to leave a tip), & the place was so clean even the bathroom was spotless! Oh yes! Try this place out! Thank you Unilocalers for sending us to this place!
