This store is a wonderful home away from home. We are so glad that you are in Lawrence.

The produce selection isn’t big but otherwise I’ve found everything I wanted here, and the prices are very reasonable. :) I just moved to the Midwest from a city with a large Asian American population and am really happy that there’s a place in Lawrence that I can buy from to get ingredients for comfort food(or, really, just normal food) and snacks, etc. Love it, come here whenever I can. The staff is very friendly and nice as well.

I always go in here looking for canned jackfruit. They have TONS of other things, mostly groceries. There is a refrigerator and freezer section as well.

It looks a little shabby on the outside, but what it lacks in visual appeal it makes up for in selection! I was able to find a lot of my favorite snacks and ingredients that are hard to find in Lawrence. This small supermarket really fills the gaps for anyone looking for red bean paste and boba!

A former convenience store on 9th Street near the University, this has been converted into an Asian grocery that opened about two weeks ago. Stopped in today and was pleased to find a good selection of frozen and dried/canned items with more to come according to the lady working there. Specifically, was looking for frozen soup dumplings which she said would be in stock by this coming weekend(they had vegetarian but not pork or seafood). What I did find that I purchased: our favorite Korean Shin Ramyun Hot Spicy Noodle Soup(tip: college crowd, ditch that awful ramen crap Dillon’s, HyVee and Checkers sell, go for the imports which are highly superior – impress your friends…), some canned grass jelly drink and black beans. Cheap, walked out with all that for under $ 6. Lots of other items you’d expect like various rices in bulk, chilis, dried noodles, etc. Items you might not expect like whole frozen chickens with the feet on. Cool. As with many Asian grocery stores, advise you leave your white midwestern/European paradigm in the car before you walk in the door. So new they apparently don’t even have a published phone number yet. I called information to confirm that, but they were referenced in a recent Lawrence Journal World article housed at which stated: On the shelves: Newly opened this month, this standalone Asian grocery store has a wide variety of dried noodles and mushrooms; sauces and oils; canned ginger and pickled vegetables; fruit juices, cookies and snacks; and kitchen equipment such as steamers and chopsticks. The cooler and freezer, which should be running by the end of this week, will offer fresh vegetables and fruit as well as frozen fish, meat and dumplings. Lawrence needs another of these. The longest running Asian market on the other side of town has really been looking sad of late. I’ll be back.
