The Fix Salon

Overall very happy with the experience. It’s a very small, casual, friendly atmosphere. Both manicures and pedicures were fairly basic but the acrylics are good quality while not taking an extremely long time to apply. Technicians were very helpful and wanted to make the experience a good time. For my toes they didn’t have quite the colour I was looking for so my tech did her best to make a colour similar to what I was hoping for. I paid $ 70 for a full set + a pedicure which I was pleasantly surprised about. The only complaint was that the services were fairly basic, if they included a little more of a massage they would have 5 stars. Great little place though.

First time at salon for a haircut and definitely my last!
I told the stylist specifically how I wanted my hair cut and once she was done it was uneven by an inch. She did not check the cut once she was done. I called to talk to the manager and the assistant manager was the one who cut my hair. After I declined to go back in for a fix I received attitude and simply stated I just wanted to let them know of the hair cut. They said thanks and hung up on me.
Worst experience ever and now I get to go find a better salon to really «FIX» my hair.
Save yourself the money and go elsewhere!

I got my hair dyed and cut. The stylists were great and very nice. I would go back again and I would also recommend. The pricing were also reasonable.

I would not recommend this place. I just got a cut and style. I think the hair dresser pulled out more hair than she cut when she brushed it. My bangs aren’t even and my hair looks blah. My shirt is still wet and she almost poked me in the eye with her scissors. I felt bad for the girl because I think she did the best she could and she was nice, so I bumped up the rating to two stars. Going to get it fixed somewhere else tomorrow… good luck if you chose to go here.

A first hair cut in a new location can be a pretty frightening experience. I took a chance on The Fix Salon because of reviews I read on Unilocal,and I wasn’t disappointed. I got my hair cut & colored by Ciera. She was very professional, knew her colors, & totally paid attention to me when I told her I didn’t want very much cut off! She did a fabulous job & the price was decent. I will definitely return & highly recommend her & the Fix!

I went here for a walk in eyebrow wax, and while the price is right and they were able to fit me in, the esthetician did a pretty poor job. My eyebrows were uneven and there were stray hairs. I can only imagine what her hair cuts are like…

For a $ 20 women’s cut, you can’t ask for more! Ask for Yosef– he is the best!

Really messed up my hair!

My highlights turned out pretty cute. I wasn’t sure what I really wanted, I just knew I wanted something different. Bri was really helpful in giving me some ideas to choose from. I still want to go lighter as we get closer to summer, but this was a nice in between step. And highlights for $ 40? Seriously? Too awesome.

You know when you get to that point with your hair when you can’t stand another day of looking at your regrowth and just need a highlight right that moment?
That happened to me yesterday when I was in Lawrence on a business trip. I didn’t think I’d stand a prayer of calling up for a partial foil and cut for 6pm that night anywhere, but after calling a few other salons, and explaining my dire straights, I called Fix and they said — of course, no problem.
Michaela was simply lovely. She was incredibly attentive to match my exact colors and ended up working until 9:00pm on my hair when the salon should have closed at 8.
The color is beautiful, and I left feeling 100% times better than when I walked in. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Not to mention I had a partial foil, cut, and purchased $ 60 worth of products and the total came to $ 154! Now that beats cuts I’ve had in Boston, SF and London.

My stylist is Nikki, aka Nicolette. On top of my hair looking amazing and her being so much fun to hang out with for all that time, the salon looks fantastic now; the colors are sleek and soothing and it is a very comfortable environment. Everyone that works there is really sweet and it seems laid-​back and friendly.
The salon also acts as a gallery; they have really beautiful local paintings up all over.
