I like that fact they are fast. Once when I went through the drive through I actually had the sandwich waiting for me at the window and it was all of 30 seconds. Great tasting, they could just offer more toppings and different breads.

I think there’s been a change in roast beef vendors. It’s not the same as when I reviewed it last(May 2012). I’ve eaten there a few times in 2013 and I’ve gotten a sub roll that was stale on one end. It’s not on the sign that customers will get a mostly fresh sub roll and there isn’t a discount for it, yet I’ve gotten it served to me too many times. I even asked for the softest roll they have the last two times and both times got the same partially stale roll. I’ve taken to getting Boarshead Roast Beef, rolls, cheese, etc from Publix and making my own.

Holy crap, the commercials aren’t lying!!! They are really fast. I went there and the people making the subs are very alert so as soon as they hear your order, several people are heads down working on it. Besides being quick, they are very good. Sometimes a little lacking in flavor, but I think I may have just picked a generic sub. And the staff were very sweet. I ordered and when me and my guy friend left everyone wished us a good day. Good service. :) Overall I was happy.

I’ve been a fan of Jimmy John’s for many years and I’m glad this location was added to the Sugarloaf Pkwy offerings. They will gladly customize your sub and are super friendly. The Vito is outstanding!!! And the bread is always spot-on. I have one concern though. This location is less than 6 months old and their food score was a B(86)…how can you mess up sub food prep? Oh well.

So I finally gave this place a try. I have mixed feelings about it. The sandwich tasted great. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. The problem is I am a non conformist and this chain wants you to have your sandwich their way and not necessarily your way. Thus, if your way is their way you will love it. I ordered a #4 which I believe was called the Turkey Tom. Before I even handed the guy my card for payment they had already slathered mayo on it. So I made them start over. They offered no choice of bread either. At least they did not mention it and I did not see any other type bread offered. So unless I just missed it I did not see any whole wheat or whole grain options. They asked if I wanted provolone cheese on it. I told them that I preferred White American cheese and he informed me it is provolone or nothing. They had spicy mustard but no regular mustard. They had a vinegar and oil mix but did not offer vinegar by itself. I trust you see the pattern here. The speed they made the sandwich in was world record pace. I noticed they had a drive-thru as well. This is where them forcing you to fit in their box would payoff is in the speed department. I would never pull into a subway drive-thru if there was more than one car ahead of me but would have confidence JJ’s would have three times faster service. Basically if things were a little more«made to order friendly» this would be bar none the best sandwich chain in the world! It would be five stars plus. However, due to these limits I can only go three stars. The sandwich I had tasted great but would have been sheer bliss had I been able to get the right bread, cheese and toppings on it. I will go back though and next time I am trying the Tuna!

Finally a JJs near my office! Fast, fresh, tasty, and not terrible for you. and they have a drive-thru! What more could you want for lunch? They’ve been very friendly every time I’ve gone. I think they are still working a few kinks out with their customer service skills, but not bad at all. Will definitely be added to my lunch rotation.
