I chose this dental office because they were In Network with my Cigna plan. They replaced a broken crown and told me the costs(my portion and the insurance portion). I would never have gone with them had I known they would come back 6 months later and tell me that I now owed them another $ 400. That was the whole point of choosing a dentist that was In Network. I feel like they purposely withheld this from me. They should have checked first with my Insurance to see if it would be covered. STEERCLEAROFTHESEFOLKS!

Went for the $ 59 cleaning and they insist that you need a deep cleaning for $ 700. I said no and they did a basic cleaning just the bare minimum. Dentist was good for replacing an old filling and dental assistant was very nice. Went back today for a cleaning and upon arrival the dental hygienist started insisting on a deep cleaning. Talked with the dentist about the up selling of services by the dental hygienist and the sales pressure for services that I could not afford. Let the hygienist probe my gums to check my numbers. It was the most painful probing I have ever endured. And what a surprise the numbers were higher than ever, probably needed to justify the need for deep cleaning. These people don’t care, it’s all about the money, do not go here!

Went in for a cleaning and the dentist wasn’t there. They took xrays and asked if I wanted a gum cancer screening for $ 70 and that insurance wouldn’t cover it. I consented and then they used a wand with a flashing light on the end and ran it around my mouth as quickly as possible — not really looking. I asked about the light and the nurse said it makes cancerous areas light up. I feel scammed out of $ 70 and didn’t even get a cleaning since the dentist wasn’t there when I showed up for my appointment.

I went there for a cleaning and was told I had 6 cavities. I didn’t feel any pain but I was trusting the expertise of a dentist. I received the services and now I’m in pain. My teeth are extremely sensitive. I can’t even enjoy food anymore. I went back to the office and she did a do over on the tooth bothering me the most. But… I’m still uncomfortable. Ughhhh I’m so upset I visited this office. My teeth was in better shape before this office. PLEASEGOTO A DIFFERENTDENTIST! I wish I would’ve read these reviews beforehand.

BEWARE! I am not saying they are scamming people here, but from reading other peoples reviews of this office, it seems like they are suggesting unnecessary work for their patients. I brought my girlfriend here for the 59 $ advertised cleaning ad, and they ended up telling her she needed $ 1,200 of work. She saw Dr. Nancy Myerson. Everyone is very nice and friendly here, but don’t let that fool you! They said she had slight periodontal infection and gum disease, and needed a deep cleaning with antibiotics and 3 quadrants of gingival irrigation. They showed us pictures of bleeding and tarter, but the bleeding was from the probing they were doing. They said she has an infection. Well, if she had an infection she would feel pain, and there was no pain, no signs of infection to us. They also told us she has bone loss. Well, as a careful customer we respectfully declined the treatment and left. I knew something was fishy. The next day we went to a well established Dentist in Suwanee, one that we have been to before and love. The dentist said there was nothing wrong, she just needed a deep cleaning. No infection, no gum disease, no bone loss, no deep cleaning or irrigation needed at all. Just a regular cleaning was all that was needed. The dentist in Suwanee said some Dentists are more aggressive than others(of course), and some are just in it for the money and to take advantage of patients. Very unfortunate, but a lot of Doctors and Dentists do this. I was happy I got a second opinion for my girlfriend. Who knows, if we actually did all of this work it might of done more harm than good. I am glad we saved $ 1,200 and will continue going to our regular Dentist in Suwanee, not Sugarloaf Family Dental. I am not saying this office is scamming patients, but it seems like they are scaring their patients into non-medically necessary procedures. Dr. Nancy Myerson really is just in the business for the money and taking advantage of patients. From reading other reviews, it seems as though they leer patients on for a 59 $ cleaning then once in the chair, they tell them all of these other unnecessary procedures to get. Just saying, BEWARE and go somewhere else!
