I don’t usually do reviews on places or people, however a long time ago (in Tacoma Washington) I was given the worst cut and color but an extremely rude woman. She made me so angry that it was the only thing I could do to tell people how bad my experience was. So in lieu of that, I’d like to mention somewhere/​someone who has done a wonderful job!
I moved to Lawton about three months ago and haven’t done much in the area. I read a few reviews on where to get my hair cut and colored and thought I’d give this place a go.
I had Chelsey Rush. She was friendly, patient, listened to exactly what I wanted and give me just that– exactly what I wanted. She cut my hair enough to get off the dead ends, did my bangs (from long to short) perfectly and did the most beautiful brown color. I will definitely be going back to here before we move again in a couple months, at least for a root touch up.

I went to another salon in town and needless to say I wasn’t going back.
After reading the so so reviews on Unilocal and the great reviews on Google. I decided to give this place a try. I made an appointment for a root touch up and a cut. I arrived a few mins before my appointment, I was greeted as soon as I walked in and seated right away. Melissa was my stylist. I showed her a picture of what I wanted (Long layers and side bangs). While she was cutting my hair you could see where the other salon messed up. Now my hair looks great again. I will definitely go back.
My only negative is when I left there was hair dye on my forehead.

My stylist was Shay, I asked her for long layers.
She did’t talk at all, I sat there for several minutes in awkward silence.
I started up a conversation with her and once she started talking she ended up being pretty nice. But she gave me an AWFUL hair cut. The layers on top were crooked, choppy and thick, the layers at the bottom were long, stringy and thin. My hair looked like a mullet. I HAD nice hair before I walked in the door at Lime Lizard Salon. After that hair cut it looked terrible, I was very upset.
I went home and brushed it out … it was even worse than I thought.
My husband who has never in 10 years had anything to say about my hair even asked «what the f@$# is going on with you hair? «
“that doesn’t look right» «you need to go back there and tell them to fix it.»
I did go back that same day, a girl named Angela appoligized and did her best to fix it.
Shay walked past and shot me a rude look, no appoligy from her.
I will return to Lime Lizard Salon many of the stylists there are quite good.
If you go stay clear of Shay, ask for Angela or Chelsey they both do a nice job.

came into lime lizard on two occasion. once for a style, and the other time for an ombré color. Both times, my stylist was Melissa, who was also the owner. She did a great job! She listened to what I wanted, and definitely delivered! my hair looks totally ready for the summer!

The stylist I had was totally incapable of doing an Ombré hair colour… which is, literally, one of the hottest trends right now. Two other stylist were there and made comments like «that is going to look so good» and crap like that. MY HAIR IS THE SAME COLOUR FROM TOP TO BOTTOM with some highlights and lowlights. IT’S NOT AN OMBRE YOU DIMWIT!!! and, I had PICTURES that I showed her before the color and we discussed and OMBRE dye job and she said «no problem». Furthermore, she completely missed one whole little section of my hair totally. I’m not kidding. While it’s a nice colour/​highlight job, its NOT WANT I WANTED and SURELY NOT WHAT I PAID FOR!!! NEVER GOING BACK. Over-​priced, clueless, and sloppy.

I moved here from out of state and needed a color and cut. I went to another name salon thinking I would get great services especially walking out paying $ 120. No. Bad cut, horrible color and the lady was a cow.
I looked Lime lizard up online and figured I would give it a go. I was so happy with the atmosphere, my stylist and how she listened to me, understood the obvious problem with the color and cut and fixed the issue, even though it took me coming back to get it perfect but Chelsey is so awesome! And the prices are very reasonable!

I was excited to try out Lime Lizard since I’d read good reviews on another website. When I walked in I was pretty surprised at the look of the place. Very cheap/​trashy looking and had an old smell. But I was still convinced the service would be great. Not quite. The girl that did my hair was nice once she warmed up a little. But the whole time I felt very rushed. When you pay extra to get your hair styled, not just cut you’d expect the works… as in not just blow drying it. That is all I got. I Will say that the cut was very good. I just wish she’d have taken her time instead of rushing me out… put some hair spray in it, ask me if I’d like it curled, etc. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and try there again. Maybe this was just an off day. That said, I really think they should consider a classy look for the salon. The couch and chair were old and did not match, and then the ugly curtains are another story. Lol. It just looked like they threw together a salon out of old, used stuff. Good luck.

I just had my hair cut by Whitney and I am very pleased. Being from Las Vegas and having the same stylist for 6 years, it’s no easy task finding someone new. She was very patient and took her time with all my request. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Whitney;)
