Tony, the amazing cook who crafted the super amazing burgers isn’t here anymore. Personally, the burgers cooked by «not Tony» are not worth it. Too bad. When the burgers are good, they’re amazing! When they’re not…

Not only is this place overpriced and have subpar food, the mac and cheese tasted like grinded up fish guts, I dont know if it was spoiled or if it just always taste that bad. They charged me 5 cents for water, which the inattentive and unfriendly waitress never refilled. If you’re out this way, go to the place across the street, as its highly unlikely it would be worse than this place.

This restaurant opened up earlier this year in a long-abandoned service station right next to the Old Stone Lodge and across the road from the Pilot Travel Center. It’s nice to see the place being put to good use and the owners have done a great job of remodeling the interior that one would never guess it was a service station at one point in time. The menu is standard pub fare(burgers, fries, sandwiches, pizza) with a small number of southern dishes thrown in. The menu is not as extensive as what you would find across the road at Country Style, but what is offered here is very good. Breakfast is also served all day long. I decided to have breakfast here while staying at the motel next door since they opened at 6am. For breakfast I had an omelet with my choice of fillings along with toast and hash browns and juice. The total for all of this came to around $ 10 which wasn’t a bad price at all. The food was also very good. It seems that the big draw here is the pub and the arcade/billiard room. Unlike Country Style, this place also serves a wide assortment of beer and alcoholic beverages. There is also a small outdoor dining/smoking area that is enclosed in a wooden fence for privacy. This place may not seem like much at first glance, but for travelers on I-64 wanting to try something different other than what’s across the street this should fit the bill nicely. I definitely plan to return when I’m in the area and wish the owners best of luck with this new business.
