Black Swan

The Black Swan specializes in witty, obnoxious, sarcastic and crude humor on t-​shirts, pj’s, books, games, stationery and the like. They mostly have t-​shirts.
They resell some items from Archie McPhee’s too.
I’ve been here twice when visiting Leavenworth, and both times the lady working there was really friendly and went out of her way to ask where I was from and told me about things going on in town.

My kids and I really had some good chuckles from the clever puns and risqué sayings on the t-​shirts in this store! Sure, it may not be PC, but come on, people, it’s a funky t-​shirt and gag gift store. Nothing here screamed out at me as over-​the-​top or offensive or racist. Yes, some sayings were tongue-​in-​cheek sassy or semi-​sexist or sex-​oriented, but while many were tackless, still, most are funny. There, I said it. We found most funny! You gotta lighten up and laugh sometimes!
I particularly liked the baby onesies with funny and clever sayings on them. My only quibble is, they were pricey, at $ 18 each. For a onesie! But they sure were funny!
There were some well-​made Leavenworth hoodies up at the front of the store, too. Good, heavy quality. Sewn-​on lettering (not stencilled), and cool design (black with neon interior lining). Reasonable, at $ 30. In retrospect, I should have gotten myself one.

This store is so fun. It has all that random funny stuff you never knew existed and want to buy for your friends as gag gifts.
For example a book of ketchup facts, bacon flavored floss, and shirts with fun sayings!
Definitely worth a stop!

I went in there today while window-​shopping down the main strip in Leavenworth. Saw some funny T-​shirts, but then stumbled upon lots of anti-​Obama gear… so I looked around for something slamming Republican politicians when I found a gem of a T-​shirt that had a picture of George Bush and the words «Miss me, yet?»
K, whether or not you like Obama is a matter of political party, but anyone who thinks Bush did a better job is a friggin idiot! I left the store before I lost IQ points just by being associated with such dim-​wits.
