This quaint little restaurant nestled in an unassuming little strip mall serves some unbelievably delicious fusion style Thai dishes. If I were given the choice of any meal served in Lee’s Summit as my last mea, it would be their Chicken Trio without a doubt.

Great pad Thai, great apps, great curry! One of the better that places I have been to in the Kansas City area. Staff is always super friendly. Watch out for lunch hour, it’s not a big place and it can get kind of tight.

I went here on recommendation from my friends and it was absolutely delicious! I had the Thai red curry and it was soooo good! I will be back again to try another dish. Just wish I lived closer!

This place is amazing with unexpected ambience! Great food, nice portions, and wonderful service. The Yellow Curry Seafood and the Chef’s Special Thai Spice Noodles were both delicious.

Came in at 2:45p for a late lunch. Not too often I eat lunch in LS but when I do, this was always my first choice. They refused to seat me because they close to clean at 3p. It’s hard for me to understand as there was 4 occupied booths still eating. Apparently these people will be escorted out promptly at 3p

My coworkers and I have been frequenting Thai Spice for several years now. They have had great food, however over the past year they have been going south fast. The service has been the most noticeable decline. Waters are never filled quick enough, other tables who sat down before you are served first, and the overall attitude of some of the servers are terrible. To top it off today I found a small washer in my food! They comped my meal and gave me another card for a free meal, however we will never be back. It is sad to see this place go down hill.

From New York, passing through. Craving spicy Thai food… Awesome… Would recommend any day! Jungle curry with chicken to die for, great back ground music and don’t be fooled by strip mall. Veggie lovers dish is beautiful.

My husband and I went there for lunch today and arrived a little before 11:30 and the restaurant was almost full. We both ordered a chicken entrée. He ordered the Trio chicken and I had the Chili chicken. Both dishes were delicious and very filling. Even though the Chili chicken was advertised as being spicy, it was not. Our servings were huge and we both took home leftovers which will be visited later today. Table service started out great, but became increasingly slower as the restaurant filled up. Now, having written this, I have never seen wait staff move as fast as these ladies moved. Since this place is small, having more wait staff might be a possible bottleneck in the aisles and kitchen. We will return with a very empty stomach.

I devoured this Chicken Pad Thai like it was going to be my last meal. The spice it was incredible, my sinus said thank you may I have another after each bite. The serving size was perfect. The price for lunch is phenomenal. I would recommend this place to my sister’s uncle brother cousin.

This place has become a hit or miss lately. Most importantly the food is always the hit, service is sometimes a miss. When walking in first impressions are good the place is clean. Food is always fresh, fast, and delicious. It’s a great Thai place in the area and I would even travel to come here. You can never go wrong with the Pad Thai, it a huge portion as well. Everything that we’ve ever ordered has been delicious too.

The food just ok, not exceptional, I am sure I had better somewhere else. The curry was a bit on the sweet side. The service was friendly and helpful though.

We decided just to find somewhere«different» to eat today, so we ended up here, just because that’s where we were. We were impressed as soon as we walked in because the place is decorated nicely, very clean and we were greeted and seated right away. We kind of had two servers taking care of us and they were perfect. They timed everything great and were very friendly, but didn’t over do it. I don’t have much experience with Thai food, so we decided to share an appetizer sampler and a chicken entrée(Triple Chicken maybe). We were a little nervous about spiciness, so ordered it «not spicy» next time, I would add a little spice. We loved the appetizers the most. The Spring Roll was our favorite, but the crab rangoon and other roll were great too.

Yum… but, While I have to say that the food and service were really good, my only real gripe was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The men’s room was dirty, while this may not weird for some people out, I always wonder if the bathroom cleanliness is indicative of the kitchen’s cleanliness?

I was in the area and craving Thai food. The place is clean, had nice décor, and nice waitresses. I’m very picky about my Thai food, because I usually make better at home.(I’m half Thai) But this little place surprised me! I usually order Lad Nah dish, but sadly they didn’t have that on the menu. So I went with chicken pad see ew, 2 tiger beef salads, chili chicken, and thai tea. The pad see ew is ok. Not the best I’ve had. It was lacking in flavor. Too bland for me. BUT, everything else that I ordered was delicious! Tiger beef salad had plenty of beef on it. The flavors were perfect! I wanted to order a third one! Chili chicken had all the right spices. And they give you a big portions! The thai tea was a little small. 4 sips and it was gone. I had to order two. I would suggest to order it with no ice. Overall, I like this place! A thai gem in Lee’s Summit! I would definitely go back!

The food was good enough for a quick lunch, I guess. I found it all pretty bland. We got red curry pork, it smelled amazing, but then it was really pretty flavorless. And the fresh rolls were inedible, instead of a single rice paper wrapper it was covered with like 4 or 5 layers making it gummy and thick. The vermicelli inside was brown, and so was the lettuce. They were extremely unfresh. The crab rangoons are really sweet, my husband liked them, but I did not. The fish sauce to dip them in was really good though. And the fried egg rolls were good. Although they advertise Singha and Tsing Tao beers, they had neither, leaving us with an option of Bud, Bud Light, or Michelob Ultra, yuck!

I’ve never been a huge fan of Asian cuisine(too many veggies) but my fiancée loves it. She used to go to a Thai place in Wichita and hasn’t had it since we moved to KC. A review for Thai Spice appeared recently and I took notice. Last night, I surprised her and took her here. The décor was very classy and upscale, but still casual. Nice classical piano playing on the overhead speakers. We were sat down immediately and ordered a couple of sodas. We ordered the Crab Rangoon and Tiger Cry Beef for appetizers. I don’t eat crab rangoon, but I tried it, at the fiancée’s behest. It was both meaty and sweet, which I’m not used to. I think they use real crab meat, not imitation. The Tiger Cry Beef was incredible! The sauce was quite spicy, but the meat was excellent even without the sauce. I ordered the Garlic and Pepper pork and she ordered the Pad Thai with chicken. The meat was delicious. I enjoyed my meal. My fiancée also enjoyed her pad thai. The service was friendly and quick. The food came out very quickly. Bill was a touch on the high end for us, as we prefer cheaper meals, but ordering 2 appetizers will ring you up a bit. We have no complaints about the place. Take a visit yourself. We will likely come back when we get the Thai craving.

I had to work out of the Lee’s Summit office for approximately 2 weeks. During that time I ate at Thai Spice approximately 4 times. Now that I am back in my other office I am sad that Thai Spice is so far away :( I had the drunken noodles each time with a different protein. I liked the tofu the best. I enjoy quite a bit of spice and the medium is just right for me. I went with the thai spice once and it burnt my lips(I still ate it). I ate in 2 of the times I went and it was very cute and intimate. Little crappy if you are a single diner, because you get put in the very back by the server station, bathrooms, and kitchen. This is still not enough to keep me away! If you like Thai food and are on a budget this place is 2 thumbs up great!

Had the Yellow Curry Seafood medium hot and I would be able to eat it everyday. Flavorful, wonderful and outstanding service. Everything on the menu looks great but my server told me it was her favorite and I agree as it is now mine also. The strip mall is kind of disconcerting but the restaurant is the hidden gem. Place has constant traffic and carry out orders. I will be back next time my travels bring me here.
