Radiance Salon and Medi-Spa

This is from the fall 2015: I called to make a hair cut appointment and asked for one of the BEST stylist. They highly recommended a male stylist & I cannot remember his name (he has very long hair). Hair stylist washed my hair — they do not have separate staff for that. I needed a few inches trimmed and layers shapped up. I always ask for suggestions and latest trends which he did not have. It took him 1 hour to cut my hair — he talked and talked — told me his life story as well the history of every other hair salon in the area. I indicated I was on my lunch break and needed to get back to work. My hair cut turned out fine, nothing super but nothing to complain about. I think he was just not skilled enough to cut my hair in 30 minutes — he kept trimming and remeasuring. I was there for 90 minutes and there was only 1 or 2 other customers in the salon the whole time. No one offered me a drink, the atmosphere is ok– not fancy and not serene — my guess is that the spa is nice and the hair salon is just not the specialty. BTW, I will not return as I was looking for an expert and I got very average.

Had an amazing microdermabrasion & enzyme facial w/​Christi! I like to get the IPL skin damage removal & botox done w/​the nurse, Melanie. I have also recently discovered that no one should touch my hair but Jessikah… I get compliments all the time now. It’s my happy place! They know what they’re doing & take special care.

I went yesterday on a whim in desperation for a trim – it’s been almost a year! The staff was friendly and courteous offering to take my heavy coat and provide beverages.
My stylist Lindsay C did a great job on my hair. She washed, cut and blow dried it without the need to flat iron it afterwards like I’ve been so accustomed to with other hair salons in the past. Because she did such a great job straightening my hair with the blow dryer, she saved me about $ 20 by skipping the flat iron. This also reduced to amount of heat on my hair which I’ve gone 8 months without.
I will definitely come back not just for another cut but other services referencing the quality of service from this visit.

Unless you are filthy rich, I would NOT reccomend going to radiance salon. The service is not bad, but the price just throws everything good about it out the window. And if you throw in how they don’t even talk to you while giving you a haircut, that just makes it worse. I went there for a 1-​inch trim and A brow tint, and that costs $ 95! I’ve gone to Paul Mitchell the School and they cut my hair, dyed it, brow tint, and straightened and that ALL cost a total of around $ 50! And personally, my experience was much better there. I hope their eyelash extensions don’t cost over $ 300 though, ’cause my experience at Cloud9 was horrible.

Love this place. It’s beautiful and welcoming inside. The staff has always been attentive and nice. I have had a handful of massages here (sometimes with coupons) and the lady I use is so friendly and great. I always forget her name… It’s nice that they have you wear nice big white fuzzy robes before the massage. The incents and music are so relaxing I could fall asleep.
I also got my hair cut and highlighted by a young girl who did a great job. I had used a 50% off coupon so I was able to afford it. Full price is a little out of my range but I would go back in a heartbeat!

I had the Classic Pedicure ($ 45) and Shellac manicure ($ 40) with Guan. IT WAS AWESOME!!! The Shellac is really incredible! I’m extremely pleased and I will definitely be back! Guan is great!!!

I go there for my hair color and cut and for my waxing. I can’t say enough great things about the staff. They are always friendly and helpful, from the front staff to the stylists. Sarah is a great hair stylist, I have never had better hair color in my life!!! And Ragan is a wonderful esthetician, I would definitely recommend her.

I absolutely love the excellent service provided by Radiance Salon and Medi-​Spa. The staff is so committed and dedicated to providing great quality service for their guest. I recommend this Spa to anyone who wants to look and feel great… I love seeing the same stylist every month, Chong knows exactly what style I love… I trust her completely. Thanks also to kelly for my facials and laser hair removal, Martha, and Donna for their detail to customer care… You all are so wonderful.

This spa is located in the fairly new Lansdowne Town Center off of Route 7. The parking here is not very convenient, you have to walk a little more than you’d expect for Leesburg, but the parking is better than a city, I suppose.
I can’t really rave about the atmosphere because it just looks like your typical salon/​spa. Nothing special or stand out about it.
Most of the front desk receptionists are rather friendly, but there is always one «token snotty receptionist girl» that tries to make you feel like you are inconveniencing her by even being there. Where do these people get off? Anyway… I guess every spa/​salon has to have at least one person like this.
They do offer you something to drink when you come in and it’s free! Water, Tea, Wine, Beer…
I’ve tried an array of services here.
The hair cut was great, nice salon area.
The manicure was really great, the nail tech I had was fabulous, but the room is excruciatingly hot (the afternoon sun shines in the room where they do the nails and its miserable). But the actual nail service was great.
The massage here is just okay — there is only one massage therapist and I can not say that I rave about her. It was jut «eh» — I did not even feel like I’d had a massage when I left — i that tells you anything.
I have also had a facial here which was great too. The Aesthetician named Alana was superb!
The «spa» area in the back where they do the massage and facials — leaves much to be desired.
The massage rooms are super small and the changing area is just not up to par. God forbid there be more than one person there to change — the other person would just have to wait their turn!
While they do have a sitting area — they did not even give me any time to chill after the massage and/​or facial — I felt like they rushed me right on out of there as fast as they could.
A positive thing I must add is that they do not push you to buy products, which is a plus.
The services are a bit pricey and I feel they could offer more specials — we are in a recession people!
Although this place boasts that they are a «Med-​Spa» — I did not get that feeling on the 4 seperate vistis when I was there.
I give this 3 stars because I think there is much room for improvement.
