I don’t find myself in Leominster very often, but I was in the area and had heard good things about Arisu. It was very easy to find, right on a main road. The place was very quiet when I went, so I was a little nervous, but the food was great! The condiments(I always forget what they’re called) we nice and plentiful, the seafood pancake was crispy on the outside, and the two stews were perfect. Considering how slow the restaurant was, it did take a while for us to get our meals. The service wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Both of us ran out of tea and water and never got refilled. This is a great gem in this area that doesn’t have alot going on in terms of restaurants; worth a try!

Food is really good but the service is soooooo BAD. I had walk over and refill my water the entire dinner. I would go back just for the food but they really need to hire more staff.

Really great tasting, high quality food and great service. This restaurant is a rarity in our area and is underapreciated.

I wish I was more familiar with Korean dishes as I’m certain there are plenty that I am missing out on. I’ve been here just once but my initial reactions are: The soup was delicious as is the bbq and apps. The family that owns the place has a sweet and attentive service mentality — prices are a bit high but understandably so considering they are one of the few Korean places around.

Service is below average, we called out the waitress a few times but she didn’t respond; we had to leave our seats to look for her. Food is not authentic Korean cuisine; I ordered w(samgyetang) which tasted like water, the ginseng was only ½″ long! My coworkers ordered(galbitang) &(yukjaejang), both were not good too, especially tasted extremely spicy and no beef taste.

Tasty korean bbq, I had the LA short ribs and it was seasoned just right. I like that the ribs weren’t very fatty.

The food was so great and James the waiter is the best. We ordered apps and he waited until we were done to bring the entrées. So consoderate. Everything was delicious including the scorpion bowls. I will definitely be back.

Ate here last night. Kimchi pancake was delicious. I had the tempura seafood udon noodles. Plenty of seafood in the soup which was great and the tempura was extra crispy. The soup wasn’t bad. I would definitely come back but would probably try something else. I would rate this place a healthy 3 ½ star on Unilocal

My cousin and I ordered a ton of take-out from Arisu, and everything was spectacular. The only downside was a bit of confusion around a request for extra soft tofu. My little cousins love the stuff and so do I, but the woman working didn’t seem to understand our request for extra tofu. We offered to pay for something like a side of soft tofu just for the kids, but that either wasn’t possible or she didn’t understand the request. We got home to find out that we definitely didn’t have enough to go around, which was a bummer, but everything else was really delicious.

Definitely a hidden jewel! They have authentic Korean dishes and everything I’ve ordered so far have been amazing. They always bring out the delicious small side dishes. They also give a tasty cinnamon tea at the end. My kids love their food and they are picky eaters. They have great customer service and are extremely friendly. They make you feel like you’re family and they are wonderful with kids.

Delicious food! I was worried that I would going to get sick from the meat at this place since its just a hole in the wall kind of place but I had no problems! My stomach loved the food and so did I. I would defiantly come back! The wait staff was polite and attentive. Great place!

This place has some of the best Korean food I have ever tasted. The service was fast and friendly. I got the spicy squid and my dad got the bul go gi. We also shared a chicken skewer appetizer. Everything had really good flavor and tasted fresh. Besides that, It’s close to home.

My cousin brought me here for lunch and I have to say this is definitely a hidden gem! If you’re looking for more authentic Korean food you should come here! I’m usually never in the Leominster area but this place is amazing! I definitely want to come back. We had their kimchee pancakes with dipping sauce and it was perfectly made! A little crunchy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. The kimchee wasn’t over powering as I have tried at other Korean places. So perfect! I want to try their seafood pajeon(pancake) next. The kalbi beef on the bone was marinated so deliciously and super flavorful! I also had the seafood stew which is called Soondubu jigae, I apologize if I butcher these names. A slightly spicy stew with seafood, veggies, eggs and tofu accompanied with a side of rice which was delicious! Comes out in a sizzling black pot. My cousins had black bean noodles which is not usually my cup of tea, but didn’t taste bad when I tried it. She also had a rice bowl that had a bunch of things in it and it looked really pretty! I added the photos and the name of it is: Dolsot Bibimbap. She said it was delicious. I didn’t try it out though. Now I’m hungry after writing this review!

A five-star Korean restaurant! I have been going to Arisu for over 2 years and I have been very impressed with the food and service. I enjoy all of the menu options including galbi, jajungmyun, bulgogi, pajeon, and twigim just to name a few. Don’t hesitate to try Arisu even if it’s your first experience with Korean cuisine. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent & Authentic Korean Appetizers & Entrees w/Free Side Dishes This was my 4th visit to Arisu after looking them up in 2012 after my return from my second extended business trip to South Korea. The restaurant is very clean, as is the Korean norm. The staff are the husband(cook) and wife(hostess) with a long-time waitress. All are S. Korean natives and the food and service reflects their origins. Serving food piping hot is a sign of traditional Korean food preparation. You may sit at the counter and watch Korean TV and note the time in Seoul or choose a table. Larger groups can group tables together. The height of the seats relative to the tables is very comfortable for me. Maybe because I’m the height of the average Korean! Arisu does not have a liquor license, so, after you state your water/tea/soft drink choice, side dishes(panchan/banchan) are brought to the table. These are normally either vegetables(pickled) or fish(pickled or dried). Most also have hot red pepper as part of the preparation but the Korean pepper is much milder than it appears, much milder than jalapeño. Side dishes are free, you only pay for the appetizers or entrees you order. If you finish a side dish, you may ask for a refill, which is also free. The menu is in English and the staff speak excellent English as well and can easily explain the menu choices. General categories are non-spicy or spicy, vegetable or meat & vegetable or fish. Rice comes with the meal if it is not already a rice-based dish. Bi Bim Bap is a very traditional rice-based dish topped with vegetables and a cooked egg. Or, you may get it in a hot, stone goblet and cook your raw egg as you mix it in with the vegetables and rice. It has zero hot pepper; the hot pepper is on the side for you to add, or not, as you wish. Bulgogi is another traditional dish consisting of thin slices of cooked beef with glass noodles in a very tasty broth. Both of these are good and safe choices for an first-timer who might not be sure about what he/she might like. I ordered pork-filled Mandu as appetizers(dumplings served with a seasoned soy-sauce on the side) and Yeukgae-Jang as my entrée(spicy soup with shredded beef, scallions, fiddleheads and other vegetables). Rice is served on the side. You can add it to the soup or you can place your beef or vegetables on it to let them cool and to let the juice flavor the rice. The complementary desert is a bowl of sweetened cinnamon and lemon flavored water/juice. As always, my food was great and I had enough leftovers, including taking home the left over side dishes, that I had a second meal for the next day. The prices are very reasonable which makes Arisu even more attractive.

I came in on a slow Sunday night with my siblings and H. We were cold, tired and hungry after a half day at Wachusett. It was only 12 miles from the mountain and a short 15 min drive. Our waitress was nice and patient. We ordered dumplings for apps and they were plain and unseasoned but very, very well crisped! I ordered stone pot bibimbap– it was decent. I’ve had better at my local Korean take away… H ordered tonkatsu and the meat was well, but the bulldog sauce tasted off. L ordered jajang-myeon and she said it was good. MR ordered bulgogi with rice was better than the restaurants in Ohio! and S ordered kalbi– he said it was good. The waitress finished us off with a cinnamon/sugar/iced tea conception and it was deeeeelicious! It was really THE best part of the meal. I’m honestly not sure why this place has 4.5 stars. At most, it’s average and in the least ok. I’d come back for the after dinner tea and the waitress.
