I just enjoyed a day with girlfriends. Downton Abbey was our theme. Our hostess provided the tea, the cucumber sandwiches and then surprised us all with decant deserts that were prepared by Taste & Sea Cakery. Each tasty creation was not only beautiful in presentation, but beyond delicious. What a great way to have a Tea Party!!! We had so much fun enjoying Season 6 of Downton Abbey with the perfect English Tea and distinctive menu.

Stopped by Taste and Sea after my husband’s birthday dinner at a local eatery! This place is adorable, comfortable, great ambiance, great music playing and the treats were DIVINE! The girls working that night were friendly and knowledgeable about all the goodies offered. Everything was fresh and scrumptious.. I will tell clients and friends and family about Taste and Sea and will be back just as soon as I can!

Just finished with our cake tasting here and it was absolutely fantastic. I’m something of a cake enthusiast and this place is tip top. It was hard to pick between the few cakes we tried because they were all great, so a good problem to have I think.
We (me and my future mrs) also ordered lattes which were great and sampled a few different cake options outside of what we thought we wanted to try and the staff was very handy with suggestions and pictures and options and were overall very helpful. After this we’re definitely going with taste and sea for our wedding and will probably find excuses to order more of their cakes in the future.

Cool spot in Leucadia with great desserts. I usually try something new each time I’m there. They’ve got great variety. It’s all made there, too, so the staff is very knowledgeable.

Such a cute bakery with delicious baked goods and an awesome staff. I will definitely go back next time I’m in San Diego.

Beautiful but stale cake delivered a bit late for our wedding. Not close to the tasting we had to pay for. No retrospective discount — just thanks for the feedback. Lovely small business and nice people, but not as professional with regards to customer service as expected. Hard to go back unfortunately, as we had planned to do.

Oh my goodness. This place is amazin. I’m eating the pumpkin cheesecake as I type and it is incredible!
So fluffy and not overly sweet at all!
This is my second visit to this bakery and I will be coming back many many times!
The baked goods and staff are always top notch!

Tasty cake but too expensive. Actually, quite tasty, with a berry filling that was special. But to have to pay $ 33 for a birthday cake for 6 – 8 people makes this place a one-​time-​only experience for me. Sorry! I’d have loved this for ten bucks less.

Taste and Sea is a sweet lovers dream. We’ve enjoyed every morsel that we’ve tried… Not in one visit of course. It’s turning into a habit.
Here are some favorites: red velvet cupcakes, harvest bars, pumpkin scones, cookies of all kinds and fabulous cakes for every occasion. The glutton free treats are also amazingly scrumptious.
Whether you live close by or perhaps are passing through, you must stop and indulge. Enjoy an espresso and grab a little sugary delight. I promise you’ll be back. And by the way– be sure to ask for Brittany– the mastermind behind it all.

We stopped by here for cappuccinos last Sunday… and some sweet things. Everything tasted great.

This bakery is a hidden gem tucked in the 101. This new bakery won’t be hidden for long! We have ordered desserts for large parties crafted with intricate details and personalization and I have never heard a crowd more impressed. Everything we have tried from the bakery is incredible and the venue and service is so charming! You can tell that the owner Brittany pours her love and diligence into everything she makes. I don’t have a sweet tooth, but she may have given me one. These desserts are way too good and creative to pass up!

Okay… With all the tastey eats we have along the coast, it can get confusing which to hit when a sweet tooth hits! But I will tell you, slam on your breaks when you pass this place on coast hwy. This is your Cookie place! We have tried the Chocolate chip cookies, layered cookie bar, berry bar, peanut butter cookies, snicker doodle and Cake. Favorites were the cookie bar and chocolate chip cookie! No regrets here…
And the décor is adorable, fun lil place to meet up and relax for a beat. And the baker is super sweet too.

Fabulous bakery! I ordered a custom cake for my husband’s 40^th birthday — they did a fantastic job with the decoration and it tasted amazing. I highly recommend the toasted coconut cake and the snickerdoodle cookies.

Are you kidding me??? We just stopped by for a cake tasting (brother-​in-​law getting married) and this is probably the best cake I have ever had. We tried a chocolate, a lemon, a vanilla bean, an espresso, and a marble cake. It was crazy that they were all my favorite. It was nearly impossible to choose. The buttercream frosting was incredibly smooth and the blend of the flavors were just incredible.
They also make all of their own pastries and syrups and all that jazz. If you are in the mood for a coffee or tea, they also serve that.
Just do yourself a favor and check this place out. Really cute, quaint, and they are just getting started too! Stop by here before this place blows up and you’re not able to get a table.

My husband and I stopped in for some coffee and dessert. We’re visiting and just driving down the coast. What a cute place with friendly staff. Our dessert (he had the espresso brownie, I had the 7 layer bar) was really good and the coffee good too. This is the type of place I wish I had near my house. The kind of place I would meet my friends at and hang out. Loved it!

I wandered into Taste and Sea to kill time while my friends picked up a bottle of wine at the winery next door (Taste and Sea makes desserts for them). I can’t resist a great cookie and the giant Snickerdoodles in the glass jars on the counter were beckoning. The cookies were delicious! My friends bought a couple of pastries as well and we ate them in the car on the way home. We recently stopped by to purchase more cookies. It was late afternoon, so there were only a few cookies left. After purchasing them all, I noticed more cookies coming out of the oven. I asked if I could buy more and was told that the cookies coming out of the oven were for their Nordstrom account. I couldn’t be upset. Learning that the Nordstrom cafes had validated my love of this place only made me like it more. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful. They even told me to call ahead if I wanted certain cookies made.

Stopped by this morning for my first visit and bought two scones and a ham & cheese croissant. The croissant was phenomenal! Hands down, the best ham & cheese croissant I’ve ever tasted (and I lived in France). Yes, it was that good. The ladies at the shop were very friendly. If you want a quiet coffee with a friend and an amazing pastry, this is the place to go.

My wife and I love this place. A little jewel hidden away in Leucadia. Great fresh made desserts. The service is great, very friendly and quaint sit down area.
