I love this place! The kale Caesar and the breakfast wrap are two of my favorite things! It is very different from most restaurants in Lewisburg which is a plus!

Don’t go if in a rush. Service is friendly. Breakfast sandwich on the small side. Lady behind the counter was extremely nice. The small patio is a nice place to hang on a sunny weekend. It can get crowded.

I’m really more than just a fan of this place! The coffee is excellent, and consistent. The espresso drinks are not quite as consistent between visits, and usually depends on who is making it. I had a mocha the first time I came here several months ago that was the most spectacular mocha I ever had!!! If it was always that good, I would have easily given this place 5 stars(despite my comment below.) Instead, since then, I have tried 5 times to order a mocha, only to be disappointed that it was not the caliber of that first one I had!(Oh, why did you set such a high bar that first time, Amami? You tease!) Honestly, that’s a very minor issue. Their espresso is very, very good. They know what they are doing with their espresso and coffee drinks. I’ve ordered a sandwich with tomato, mozzarella and pesto, and their breakfast wrap with sausage. Both of these items have been excellent every time I’ve ordered them. Very flavorful. Service has always been very friendly. No problems there. The real reason I am rating this 4 stars is due their *very* small establishment. I am absolutely thrilled to see the owners bring the quality of their wonderful café in Selinsgrove, The Kind Café, here to Lewisburg. Unfortunately, Amami seriously lacks real estate space compared to The Kind. This is mostly an issue when the semester is in session at Bucknell, when the place can get quite packed with students during late mornings and early afternoons.(Though, I am happy to see Bucknell students come downtown. They are generally a pleasant crowd.) On a couple of occasions when I’ve stopped by for lunch, I had to place the order to go because there were no seats available. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for some of the best coffee you will find in this area. The food options are also quite tasty. But, be aware that you might NOT find a place to sit during the semester.

Finally! I’ve been waiting for a well put together coffee place/café and Amami delivers. Great coffee, delicious fresh food, and a staff that’s on the ball. The owner works the floor to see that all is running well and makes just the right amount of customer contact.

Amami is the best café in the area, by far. Their drink menu is expansive; you really can’t go wrong with any selection but I absolutely recommend a dirty chai(iced or hot). Similarly, the menu is innovative and food is always fresh and well-prepared. For breakfast, try any of the oatmeals, and for lunch, the prosciutto panini is my go-to. I visit weekly with friends, and often by myself to study — the café is very busy during lunch hours, but by 1:30PM there are less people and it is a perfect quiet environment for working. The staff is friendly, and service is efficient(but if you come during busy hours, expect a little bit of a wait, but great quality food nonetheless). The atmosphere is cozy and perfectly cultivates a hipster/urban vibe, from the music selection to the décor. It blends in seamlessly with the rest of downtown Lewisburg, but effortlessly brings something unexpected(but entirely welcome) to the town.

Best expresso, lattes, cappuccino in the area. I have been all over EU and elsewhere. Great, matches anywhere if not better. As for the food I have had here! See the above comments. Tasty and well prepared. They care. Space is tight but that is because people come back! Can’t wait until they expand.

If you like espresso, you shouldn’t go anywhere else in town. I’ve tried everywhere else in Lewisburg, and nobody else comes close for espresso. The food is also very, very good. I have only one complaint, which is that they get bogged down with crowds sometimes and orders can take forever when things get too busy.

Amami is an excellent addition to Market Street in downtown Lewisburg! It is quaint inside, but very cozy and comfortable if you can snag a table. Some of my favorites on the menu are any of the oatmeals(all so amazing especially the Nutella or the chai), the arugula salad with chicken, and the dirty chai tea latte. If you don’t feel like sitting down, you can also get a drink to go.

Best panini I have ever had! I highly recommend the burrata and prosciutto panini. Next time I will definitely get the bacon and nutella panini. The vegan chickpea soup was also spectacular. We will be back.

This café is new to the neighborhood, and I heard about it through word of mouth. They serve selections of breakfast, salads, and sandwiches. There are also pastries, coffee, and lattes. The café itself is very small, which is just characteristic of the space. There were some awkward maneuvers required to get to our seats, getting served, and clearing the dishes because the café was crammed with as many tables and seats possible. Perhaps there could be some bar tables or benches set up or a change in organization to help create a flow to the café. The food itself was very good. I got a breakfast wrap which was only ~$ 6.50. I was impressed by the mushrooms they offered as a vegetarian option in their wrap. There was an orange slice served on the side which was a nice addition. They had two types of coffee which were well brewed and balanced. I adore the atmosphere. It’s like an urban rural hipster revival. I can imagine the interior of the café in an alternative café in Los Angeles. I felt right at home. I hope the café is here to stay and I hope to come again.
