We used to go to Twin Kiss almost every night we were in town. We live in Minnesota but have a house in Lewistown. We brought in relatives from New York, Minnesota, Georgia, & Stockholm Sweden for a funeral. We were bragging up the place. After we all ordered my daughter found a mayfly embedded in her brownie. We didn’t ask for a refund or replacement but thought they should know about it & showed them. No apology, just the comment that«we shouldn’t eat under the bug lights». ITDID’NTFLYINTOHERBROWNIE, ITWASEMBEDDEDINTHECOOKEDBROWNIE. Bad customer service. We didn’t impress our guests. It wasn’t so much the mayfly but the resulting bad attitude.

Twin Kiss is a local favorite for ice cream treats of all sorts. I like their banana split and sundaes. They have expanded, over the last few years, to soup and sandwiches. What I have ordered isn’t too bad. Just call ahead because it will take a while. They could use an online menu or some advertising in order to get more info out there. Would probably help to keep the customers informed before placing an order.

I try not to review on nostalgia alone, but I still have a soft spot for the Twin Kiss and never fail to make a stop when I’m in Lewistown visiting the folks. On a summer evening, this place is chaotic with foot and car traffic, and you can almost imagine the scene with letter jackets and poodle skirts and Thunderbirds like something straight out of a movie. On my last trip, I did roll in here in a convertible, but alas, it was a 2008 foreign model. Not every little burg has a joint like this right in the middle of town, so we were lucky(although I didn’t grow up within walking distance, more’s the pity). It is extremely handy to Rec Park, which make a great 1 – 2 combination for a warm evening with the family, a date, a group of friends, whatever. Get the large milkshake because they shoot a rope of soft-serve down the side before serving it. Best of both worlds.

Two years ago, I would have given Twin Kiss 5 stars. They used to be great but recently they’ve raised their prices while lowering the quality of their product. I understand that food prices in general have risen but quallity doesn’t have to suffer at the same time. Twin Kiss used to be my pick over the pre-fab stuff that Dairy Queen squirts out but now I’ll take a DQ Blizzard over a TK Iceberg.
