Godfather’s Pizza

Pizza in a Pinch. I do not frequent Pizza chains in that they all serve the same processed ingredients. I got a small deep dish that was ok. The staff was very nice and courteous.

I’ve never been to a Godfather’s Pizza location that I didn’t believe was the best of the dine-​in pizza franchises. The Lexington location here lives up to the standard, no doubt.
I’ve followed this location of Godfather’s from when it was previously located in rural Tyro. Personally liked the Tyro location better, but the move didn’t have any effect on the food quality, etc. Just liked the atmosphere and location better there. But it’s certainly not any reason to avoid them in the present location.
Good pizza, good service, and good atmosphere makes for a good combination for a meal in Lexington. Proves that BBQ is not the only thing to eat while there in town.

Outstanding pizza. Been around for years. We ate at Godfathers back in the 70’s and they have consistently been one of the best chain pizzas anywhere. The pan pizza is very satisfying and you can get lots of toppings loaded in without sacrificing firmness and soggyness.

My favorite pizza place. Chicago style deep dish, thin, and pan… Love the all meat pizza, the classic combo, and the taco pizza on the classic godfathers crust (Chicago style). I have heard great things about the cheeseburger pizza but have not tried it yet. Their Sausage is my favorite single topping. Clean place. I drive 45 minutes just to eat there. And my kids love the cinnamon monkey bread.

Godfathers pizza. Located in a strip mall, well off the beaten path, in Lexington. Most people only think of one thing in Lexington, and thats BBQ. I’m happy to report that you can officially add pizza and wings to that list! I usually just call in an order here and pick it up to go, but recently I stopped in for an official visit. From the outside, it dont look like much. Inside you place your order and then go sit down and wait for pizza to come out. Its pretty quick too, considering. They have a buffet at times, and a salad bar area. There is usually a special posted thats a good deal. You have your selection of crust style, and size. The cheeseburger pizza is the bomb. But you knew I was going to say that right? Seriously the pizza here is very good. The traditional deep dish is a perfect choice for this. This thing was loaded with burger and cheese. The pickles on top was a nice addition. Wings took a little while to come out but they were good. Plenty of meat on the bones, and the sauce was nice and spicy without being over the top. The price was reasonable. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. The dining room was dimly lit behind tinted glass, with dark wood and cool decoration, and reminded me of pizza places from the past. Cozy and warm feeling, a good place for a date. Plenty of choices on the menu, or build your own pie. Great taste and quality. I was happy with my visit, and would recommend them anytime.

If you don’t mind the religiosity, this is actually very good pizza. They also have some good monkey bread here. Service was very friendly, the dining area is very nice and spacious (I think we ended up being the only ones there despite lunchtime creeping up on a Saturday) and they have Cheerwine. My sister claims I had it before but I didn’t so this was my first time. For NC, this is pretty good stuff and a far cry from the major national chains. I also had the classic crust & no complaints here.

Best Chicago type pizza you can get around here. I grew up eating this pizza. It’s the best. You can’t go wrong with the classic combo.
