My Mac computer appeared to have a virus or malware (even though Macs aren’t supposed to get that stuff). I called up Steve at Hartland Computer Repair and he said that in rare cases, a Mac might get something. I asked if I could bring it right in and he said sure. Steve provided me with an estimate and said he would get back to me the next day.
The next day he let me know that he ran a couple different tests on it and couldn’t find anything wrong with my computer, nor could he duplicate the problem. He indicated that the issue I had was probably just a fluke. When I went to pick it up, he refused any payment at all since he didn’t have to fix anything! Now that is amazing customer service!
Sure enough, when I took my computer back home, it was working fine again. Probably just unplugging it was enough to clear the issue. I really appreciated Steve’s honesty and integrity in helping me with this. I will absolutely go back to him if need be and highly recommend his services to others!

This place offers excellent service every time I bring my computer or lab top here. Very reliable and the appraisal is spot on as well, no bad surprises and very affordable.

PROBLEM: They confirmed that the hard drive had failed and replaced it and then restored my data using my back up. Plus they discovered the wireless card was not working and they replaced that as well.
I was very impressed right off the bat with owner Steve and his super responsiveness to my situation. This was my first contact with the company but after looking over the web site, I figured they were very capable… so I called him and told him I feared my hard drive was dead on my iMAC and that as a full-​time self-​employed graphic designer, I could not afford down time. I took it in immediately and then he rushed it through, even as they were in the throes of moving to another location.
He told me up front an estimated cost. He also told me what to expect as far as communications from them and he did let me know as soon as he could what was wrong and gave me a couple of options on the hard drive. And then he kept me in the loop over the next day and had the computer ready as promised.
There was a minor problem when I got the computer home, but he and his staff were attentive and it was resolved.
I was very happy with the level of professionalism and friendliness. You need to be able to have confidence that the people who work on your computer (or car, or broken arm for that matter) are competent, reliable and fair. Hartland lived up to that so I guess they are now «my computer guys».
I would recommend Hartland to anybody who needs help with their computers and other electronic devices.

A couple of weeks after I received an iPad for this summer, I dropped it. My professor took the iPad and gave it to Steve to fix it. He sends it out to a company that actually repairs it. When we got it back, it was having difficulties. Steve got it back and sent it back to the company. He made sure it was fix the next time we got it. He is a great guy that cares about his customers. If you need a computer or tablet fix, send it to him!

Though they specialize in PC services and repair, Steve took the time to listen to my urgent Mac problem and recommended someone who really came through in a pinch. He could’ve easily said «we don’t work on Macs» and gone on about his day — I’m glad he didn’t, and know who we’d recommend if our friends with PCs need help. Thanks Steve!
