Homewood Suites by Hilton

I had an exceptional experience staying here last week! The staff is very friendly and more than willing to assist you.
My room was very clean and had everything I needed, then some. I truly felt at home here for the week. The bed was fantastic, lots of pillows with assorted soft/​firmness, plenty of hot water for showers, iron and ironing board, kitchen complete with dishes and silverware, work desk, great lighting.
In the dining area is where this place shines! They have a great hot breakfast every morning and also have a great assortment of cold items. Juice, water and plenty of hot coffee too. Now here is where they stand out, Monday — Thursday between 5−7pm they have dinner and two beers on tap, free of course! If that doesn’t assist with your decision to stay here, I’m not sure what will.
One last comment is their elevator. There were several large groups here while I was in town, I didn’t have to stand and wait long for the elevator. I was pleasantly surprised. This was truly a great experience and I hope my travels bring me through Lexington again!

CATCH THEM AT THEIR BEST!
On the final night of a 10-​day road trip from Kansas City to the Atlantic Coast and back, we chose to stay at the Homewood Suites in Lexington’s Hamburg neighborhood. The Homewood brand is a favorite in our family because it has a separate room where our youngster can retire early while Mom and Dad watch TV in the bedroom. Our daughter, now 10, refers to this chain as the «Duck Hotel» because it has a duck in its logo. Normally we use the swimming pool which she loves but not on this trip which was a quick enroute stop.
We checked in about 8 PM and were in our room within 5 minutes of pulling into the hotel. The room was very clean. On Monday-​Thursday, Homewood offers free dinner. We stayed on a Sunday night so dinner wasn’t offered. The cheerful receptionist referred us to a nearby restaurant within walking distance. It was an excellent recommendation.
Our stay was short but the beds were very comfortable — a welcome feature since the previous night we stayed in a rundown Doubletree. The only minor problem we had on this visit was the «pressure toilet» that didn’t stop running. We had to summon some help and it was quickly addressed. And I got to learn about pressure toilets!
The next morning we enjoyed the free breakfast. At some Homewood Suites, the breakfast rooms can be a disaster — especially when you are in the peak of the summer tourist season. But even though this hotel was busy, the people who were responsible for keeping the breakfast room clean, provisioned and serviced did an absolutely outstanding job. The food was tasty, plentiful and well-​presented.
Checkout was fast, efficient and friendly. We were out of the hotel just as quickly as we had checked in.
As a Hilton Honors Diamond level traveler, I have seen hundreds of Hilton facilities including many Homewoods. This hotel is among the best and will be a Homewood that we will visit again. The staff does an excellent job here and could be held up as an example of how to run a hotel right.
Plenty of parking. Convenient to the interstate and shopping mall and tons of great restaurants.

Very clean, spacious, more than we expected and at a great price. Nice sized kitchen area, we will definitely stay here again! The only thing that lacked a bit was the parking, but everything else made up for it.

We are in Lexington on an extended stay trip for an unknown amount of time.
We arrived here on race weekend on Friday at noon and got a room for one night at the last minute. After driving for 6 hours it was nice to be greeted by the general manager — he was so accommodating and helped us to check in a little early.
Our room — it’s nothing fancy but that is ok with me. It is a tastefully decorated two room suite with two queen beds in one room and a separate living room and kitchen. Very clean! Large bathroom. Two tvs (good for my brother so he doesn’t have to endure BRAVO) and the pillows are the best!
Truly a home away from home.
Best part… we have had to extend our stay for four nights (possibly more) and the general manager has been very helpful and compassionate.

Extremely uncomfortable sofa bed. Staff were not able to do anything. Insufficient parking for size of hotel. Manager on duty when we checked in late after driving from New York refused to help check us in when the other front desk person was busy. Other staff were very nice. Would not stay here again.

We try to always stay at Homewood Suites and this one has been the best so far. He breakfast is a normal continental breakfast and the rooms are great clean and well maintained. They also serve a complimentary dinner but we were not around during that time. The staff was very friendly with there greetings and hospitality. I would stay here again.

Room comfortable and quiet enough. A couple problems with room 301. Door handle is installed upside down or for left handers, not sure which. Light bulb over the sink out.
Don’t count on HS for breakfast though. I don’t know why Homewood Suites started cheapening their free breakfast. No waffle makers, no real eggs, no bacon. Pheh, I could have got that from Holiday Inn.

Really nice place to stay. We were here with my husband on a business trip. My 1 year old had plenty of room to play and we had space for her pack-​and-​play.

Wonderful hotel. I have stayed at many Hilton Hotels before but never a Homewood Suites. The staff was great and the suites were well set up with a mini (full) kitchen. There is complimentary food for breakfast and sometimes dinner. The bathroom was large and very clean.
Not a discount hotel but great value for the price.

We stayed in room 112 – quiet and right by an outer door. Our suite was very clean and spacious. The outdoor pool was very nice and relaxing. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was REALLY good! Location is great – close to lots of restaurants and stores – and to I-​75.
