Hired Merit furniture to Move a practically NEW Cal-​Spa Hot Tub (in New Working condition) from the current homeowner’s home to ours.
They damaged the Hot Tub, as well as the siding on our home in the move. Hot Tub no longer had a working motor when accidentally dropped on the deck from 5 feet in the air (Merit Moving Crew/​3 dirty scrawny guys). The plumbing now leaked, headrest, fiberglass, and Side paneling damaged, torn, and scratched. We had to later hire another crew to haul this off for scrap.
Owner, Larry Hitchner was impossible to talk with. He referred to myself as «chief» while speaking with me.
Larry left the site without allowing us the opportunity to pay, and mailed us a bill based on the original quoted price to the original Hot Tub Owner (before we were delivered the inoperable spa).
Larry then filed a small claim against us, and has had us dealing with tons of extra time and leg work just to figure out why we should pay for this awful «service» provided.
I ABSOLUTELY will NEVER buy furniture from a business that is ran by a narcissistic male figure that speaks to his CUSTOMERS beneath his level.
I RECOMMEND NIXING MERIT FURNITURE STORE FROM YOUR LIST IMMEDIATELY!
