Yamaha Music School Boston

So four days before my son’s class starts, they called me to remind me of a class starting next week for which my son did not sign up for. Come on, people, GET. IT. TOGETHER! Smh
First day of class: teacher was less enthusiastic then the promo class. Did not seem to care if the students are even listening at all. The material was presented in a way as if they are saying: here, now go discipline your child into learning this. Lots of homework, which is ok with me. But can we be a little more upbeat? These are four or five year old kids!
I have nothing good to say about the two administrative people. Other than exhibiting utter carelessness and incompetent for what they do, they also both gives off very negative attitude towards their clients. I am giving this music school a month to change my mind. Otherwise, I will eat my $ 300 loss (which is half of the tuition for the semester) and give Suzuki a try. Also, a letter to the yamaha corporate office is in the working. These people needs to know what kind of embarrassing job they are doing here in Boston.

The teachers at this school are very good, but the school location is TOTALLY NOT kids friendly. The school is located on the second floor of an office building. There is always a guy sitting in the hall way to the school suite watching you even on Saturdays and Sundays. Hey, if your kids were happy, they might walk joyfully or jog a few steps on their way to the school, what a wonderful thing, but you know what, this was not the proper behavior of your 4,5,6,7,8… years old kids here, they would be «scolded» and they got confused. Do you want your kids to look and act like a 40,50,60… years old depressed loser? Come on, this is supposed to be a fun place for kids, or at least you have to talk to kids in a positive way. By the way, I noticed that 99.99% of the time, every parent was so responsible, every kid was so good, but occasionally children’s mind spoke. If you stood in the hall, even at the far end, for more than 10 –15 seconds (checking emails, answering a call (you shouldn’t do it inside the school suite I think)), you would be «asked» to go away. The reason was this is the building rule. All right then you may need to find a more kids friendly place. Just a parent’s humble opinion, still love the teachers there.
