Minsky’s Pizza

Very disappointed in the quality control for delivery. I have ordered online twice in the last week and have received incomplete orders both times. The second time, I called for the missing items and it took over 30 minutes to deliver the rest of the order and my office is only a few blocks away from the Liberty location. The manager seemed unapologetic. Maybe the third time will be a charm???

Food wise, the pizza was great. The long wait was less than ideal, but our server explained the situation to us and continued to keep us updated (I wish I could remember her name, Katherine?) The inside of the restaurant is in terrible need or an update. The mustard colored walls, paired with brown trim, interesting colored carpet, and mismatched tables and chairs. None of that screams «sports bar» like they claim to be. Update the inside of the restaurant and I bet the business with increase dramatically!

We visited on a Friday night at 7PM and restaurant was not overly busy. We were seated right away in the bar and got drinks and ordered. We were told at least three times that our food was coming soon. After an hour we asked about our pizza and were told it was coming soon. A manager came over and apologized but offered nothing for our wait. We waited almost 10 more minutes then asked for our check. .we were going to find another restaurant. We were then told our pizza was being cut and offered a discount. The pizza was good but it was an almost 2 hour experience for pizza. I don’t believe the chain is to blame but the Liberty location is NOT worth it… try Nicky’s or Pizza Shoppe instead if in Liberty.

I ordered a large pizza and selected my topping — then was told it would be 1 to 1.25 hours to get it delivered. I waited — it was the 1.25 hours and the large pizza was the smallest large pizza I had ever seen and I really wanted to hate it — it just didn’t look good.
However, I cannot lie — I liked it. It didn’t look great, I waited far too long, but darn it — the thing actually tasted pretty damn good!

Artichoke Dip and Chips were way too salty. Our order of vegetarian pizza with Sun dried tomatoes, Green Peppers, Artichoke Hearts and black olives had no black olives and had pepperoni. All this after waiting 25 – 30 min (granted place was busy being a Friday night). Waitress apologized profusely. She offered to have the pepperoni picked out and removed. We refused. Requested a new pizza. Got it within 15 minutes. Was Overcooked and overpriced in my opinion. Large Pizza was $ 25 but was taken off due to the incorrect order.

First, I will start off my saying that I love Minsky’s calzones. They are delicious. Second, I have to say that our family will not be going back to this restaurant again. This evening my husband went to pick up 2 calzones and 2 children’s orders of chicken fingers. This was supposed to be ready at 7. At 8 he was still waiting. At this point he asked to have the children’s meals cancelled (they had to go ahead and eat at home) and the manager said that he would and gave my husband our to go order. Well, it turns out that he actually gave us the wrong order. All in all it was not a good experience which is too bad. I will still go get Minsky’s at their other locations because their food is good but we will not go to this one again.

I frequently visit the Minsky’s in Liberty and order take out even more. Their pizza is always phenomenal and cooked to perfection. I have never had a bad experience there and love all the options they give for customized pizza toppings! It is by far my favorite pizza place in the Kansas City Area! The people are super friendly and always seem to handle the «busy» hours super well. The cost factor is super good considering the quality of what you get. There are plenty of places to get cheap pizza and cheap ingredients. This is more of a high end pizza place. However, Minsky’s delivers high quality food for the price. Don’t be discouraged by the cost, its well worth it.

Got there two hours before closing but they acted like we were jerks for coming in so late. The server rushed us through and and wasn’t very attentive. The tea tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The pizza was decent, they were skimpy on the toppings which was ridiculous since they charge like $ 2 per topping. Won’t be going back.

Minskey’s is my favorite pizza in Kansas City all together. We ordered appetizers for the kids (Mozz sticks and French fries) and they were hot and tasty. They tend to be packed on weekend nights but we were there earlier than normal for dinner (maybe 4ish) and it wasn’t full at all. Our server was friendly and prompt to deliver our food. I’ve ordered their Valentine’s Day heart shaped pizza in the past for my husband as its his favorite pizza place and its a little pricey for as small as it is. Next time, I’d rather cut it into a heart myself and eat the scraps haha but seriously, it was tiny and about $ 20. I think they do Football shaped pizza in January as well.

My daughter and I went here on a Wednesday at noon. I was surprised there were only 2 cars in the parking lot. I should have turned around and left. My daughter got Ziti pasta. It was so gross and burnt that the chees
e curdled like cottage cheese. We brought it to the waitresses attention and she was like you don’t like it? I was like it is so nasty.
Horrible food!

I eat here often and never disappointed. Great staff like Kelly and managers like Tim assure you will enjoy your visit. Best pizza in Liberty.

Screwed up orders, old per-​cooked pasta and the worst meatballs in town. The meatballs were burnt and very dry with way too much red pepper in them. The cheese on their pizza is like rubber and their prices way out of line. Do yourself and your friends and family a favor and steer clear of this place.

Pretty dang good pizza for a fair price! I was impressed. .it exceeded expectations! Deep dish was good!

Time for my first negative review. I refuse to give a bad rating off of one experience and this Minskys gave me no choice after the second poor showing.
First time I ordered delivery, it took 2.5 hours and there was an appetizer missing when the order finally showed up. The delivery guy said he would get me a discount or perhaps a free meal. The food was soggy and lukewarm to top it off. Poor red sauce and a rubbery texture to the cheese.
Decide to give the place another chance, called up and mentioned the poor service and food from the previous time and received a $ 5 credit that was begrudgingly given. Pie shows up half hour or so later and it is completely nuked, with crust blacker than a dark cow’s behind on a moonless prairie night. Sauce was miserably over salted and cheese sticks were either exploded or rubber.
Tl;dr:
This place is bad. Get your pizza anywhere else but here

Visited three times in the past year, and three times we received a discount because we had to wait so long for our order and were nearly forgotten by the servers. Plan on at least a minimum two hour sit down, if you decide to dine in.

Always is pretty much empty here. Not sure how they are still open if they seem to do so little business. Food is good for the most part but just a super dull place to eat.

First time visiting this place and I have to say it was *noms.*
We had three large pizzas. Meat lovers, supreme, and a sausage and pepperoni.
Lots of ingredients literally better pizza. It was a pizza with substance it was the chunky chicken noodle soup of pizzas.
I have eaten a ton of pizza in my day and this was some of the best.
If you haven’t tried it I commend it
The only real down side is that it is a bit pricey and gimmicky but if you can get passed that and just enjoy the food you will have a good time.

I love Minsky’s Pizza. The prime cut and natures choice are our favorites. The restaurant staff on the other hand are good if you don’t need anything. Last time we were there our waitress disappeared for over 20 min. After asking other waitresses for help she came back with the excuse that she had to go wash dishes because they were short staffed. If that were true why was all rest of the staff including cooks just standing around chit chatting.
The food is good but the staff is hit and miss. Lately mostly miss.

I didn’t eat here but rather ordered for takeout. The total came out to about $ 32 for two large pizzas and apparently, I saved $ 8 (that’s what they told me on the phone) since each large was $ 18.99. The décor looked okay and there were a lot of TVs. I would’ve expected the noise level to be loud but it wasn’t that loud. The parking seemed limited but there might be parking in the back.
The two large pizzas I ordered were the Cheeseburger Pizza and the Jumbo Combo. I was surprised how small the large pizza looked but looks can be deceiving. In my opinion, the Cheeseburger Pizza was tasty but probably one of those pizzas I’d only try once and not order again. My coworker recommended I try the Jumbo Combo and she was right! The Jumbo Combo was delicious (especially if you like meat since there were 4 different kinds of meat on it) but pretty greasy. There were other gourmet pizzas on their menu that I’d like to eventually try. I know the prices seem a bit high but I thought the pizzas were good.

The honey-​wheat crust of this KC standard is so tasty. They offer some unique pizza variety along with the customary toppings as well. The BBQ chicken pizza is great as is the Chicken Bruscetta pizza ($ 5.99 mini), with lean chicken on top of a chunky tomato sauce. The herb salad is basically just the house iceberg salad with a few bits of cilantro on the top — I’d stick with the house salad if I were you ($ 5.99) which is large enough to share.
The sports bar atmosphere makes is a nice place to chill with friends, though the interior isn’t particularly cozy. Our service was prompt, and the reasonable prices and tasty pizza will keep me coming back.
