Offerdahl’s Cafe Grill

The food is consistently good but I had to give it 3 stars because it’s a little overpriced for an order-​at-​the-​register café. Also, they recently decreased their salad sizes so a half salad is pretty tiny. They also serve it on a plate that’s too small so you loose half the salad in the process of trying to cut and mix it. Sometimes the sandwiches don’t have enough chicken or meat on them either. But when they do they’re tasty. The bagels and giant chocolate chip cookies are really good though! I would recommend it if you aren’t super hungry and don’t mind spending a little more then you feel like you should spend on a small half salad and sandwich…

My family has come here for years! Great location and you always see someone you know. Food is always yummy even when they mess up your order.

Live bug in food.
Ordered egg scramble with ham. Received egg scramble with veggies so it was the wrong order but my husband dealt with it but he took three bites then saw an beatle/​roach type bug crawling in his food. Took it back up and they remade the food but of course he did not want to eat after that. He said the eggs tasted powdered and the food was not good and of course there was the bug issue. We will never eat there again. Not even another location.

This morning my wife and I were in your restaurant. .one of your employees yelled a derogatory word at which everyone laughed. I find it very rude for any person to act this way. What was bad was the fact your manager was also laughing. I don’t know how you can call yourself a professional restaurant when you treat people like trash. If they worked for me, they would all be on the street with out a job.
The next we visit Florida, we won’t be coming back!

Bad food — the salad was old and the dressing was disgusting. The Baja steak– was under entrees but was a salad which I didn’t really get it’s placement on the menu. It wasn’t very pleasing either. The seats there were torn and the floor dirty. Pass!

I love the breakfast protein bowl. The other menu items look so good too but I literally drive out of my way for this. I swap out the egg for chicken. The hummus is homemade and everything is cooked fresh. I never knew I liked mushrooms so much. The best part is how great I feel after. Fully energized and guilt free. I failed to take s picture. Too eager to dig in.

I thought Offerdahl’s was just a breakfast bagel place. I was wrong. They have lots of choices for lunch and dinner, too. I tried the shrimp power platter. Freshly grilled shrimp on a skewer with lightly steamed broccoli and edamame over a bed of quinoa. Light, healthy, and tasty. My husband tried the chicken teriyaki bowl, also a winner. Service was prompt and welcoming. We will definitely be back for this healthy fare.

OMG it was soooooo good. Wayyyyy better than Panera breads soup.
The workers are certainly better and more helpful than PB. That’s probably because they were older and not snobby little teenagers.
I also had the Vegan Sandwhich on a poppyseed bagle and it was glorious!
More expensive than panera but it’s 100 times better and
The atmosphere is smaller and slower paced. I don’t feel like I’m just being rushed to gwt me out the door. It’s great!

The variety of bagels and sandwiches are great, the reconstructed scrambled eggs not so much. Other than that, fresh coffee, different flavors every time.

Good place good deal on bagel nova cc onion capers tomatoes 6.50 can’t. beat that service is good coffee is good people are friendly

Always enjoy coming here; it’s a great destination to ride our bikes. Food’s good; staff’s pleasant and efficient. Atmosphere’s nice especially sitting outside. We even like the music.

I come here often for coffee & bagel and have been nothing but impressed.
The bagels are tasty and salmon tastes good. I go with the Nova Nosh on a lightly toasted everything bagel. This comes with salmon, cream cheese, red onions, tomatoes and capers.
They have several coffee options for regular and decaf along with an iced coffee option, but the taste of the iced coffee is just okay… My personal preference is to fill up a cup with ice and pour the hot coffee over…
They have pretty good looking lunch menu as well, but I have only explored the black bean burger which I recall enjoying.
Lots of vegetarian options and a kids menu! I will be back–

I’ve been coming here every week for the past 4 months. .most times 3 times a week. I hate kale but decided to try HALE TO THE KALE salad after someone recommend it to me.. all I can say is WOW! I add salmon and the fish is always cooked perfectly and adds the right top note to compliment the full tastes of the salad. The salad is served worth a bagel loaf but I ask for French instead! TRYING IT!!! IT’S DELICIOUS AND NUTRITIOUS! !!

MANAGER SAYS «ISN’T FISH SUPPOSED TO SMELL FISHY» He cracked me up…
I used to really like this place. The atmosphere is really nice. The employee are always nice. The offerings are good and fairly priced.
But today I order the Salmon Bowl and have many times in the past.
The order was coming out slow so I stepped to the counter and the manager Joe did attend to me until he saw that I was in the way and excuse me sir. That was fine and I approached again and said. When will my order be up it’s #— and it’s salmon bowl. And Joe in a you are bothering me tone (my interpretation), «I don’t know without going in the back to check.» I said, «well would you go back there to check.» He say’s «yes» and comes back with the plate.
I get the Salmon plate and it’s looks beautiful. The piece of salmon before I take a bit I can (from over 20 inches away) smell the salmon and it smells fishy like it’s bad. So I go up to the register with the plate and Joe comes up and says «what’s the matter.» I say «the salmon smells fishy» and the the manager says, «correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t fish supposed to smell fishy.» I thought oh boy this guy is a hopeless case and I said, «No…just give me back my money, please.» Which they did. :)
Lighthouse point or corporate please let me know when you have a new manager, I hope he knows that fish is not supposed to smell fishy, especially salmon. And to Joe, the manager, tell him that when fish smells fishy it means that its chum (low) quality salmon, bad or going bad.
I think I’ll stick to another office.

Ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. The bagel was cold and the coffee was bland. The server was surly and they have the nerve to put out a tip jar for counter service. I am usually a generous tipper but why should I tip someone just for taking my money. Thats stupid. If you expect a tip for handing me a bagel make sure it’s warm and try to have a smile on your face and greet the customer like a customer. Einsteins has better coffee and no tip jar.

I’m a fan of Offerdahl’s. It’s a bit expensive for what it serves, but I like the food. The manager at this location is a bit strange. Despite my frequenting the place and ordering the same thing day after day, he doesn’t seem to remember my order. I get a bagel lox and cream cheese sandwich. Every single day he clarifies whether it’s the nova lox sandwich or the one with lox cream cheese. And every single day I have to tell him that, just like everyone who orders a «bagel lox and cream cheese,» I want a giant slab of smoke lox in between two deliciously toasted bagels. So, in that sense, it doesn’t feel like a very friendly location. But whatever… the food is pretty decent.
Writing this review made me so hungry, i’m going to go get a bagel, lox, & cream cheese right now.

This place has delicious food! I’ve tried everything from their salads, rice bowls, soups, and sandwiches and everything is fresh and delicious. The customer service is always great — I am always greeted when I go there and any special requests for my food are always gladly accommodated. It’s a unique place to South Florida and all of their dressing and recipes seem to be unique as well — not just your run-​of-​the-​mill «soup and salad» café. Great place to try out if you haven’t been. I eat their regularly!

Everything just sucked. And it was expensive.
Got the chipotle steak sandwich and it tasted like mayonaise, with no hint of chipotle whatsoever. The meat wasn’t flavorful. It was served with the tiniest bag of cape cod chips.
The tortilla soup was bland and tasted like canned soup, and the chili was okay. They were both served with a piece of very chewy and not flavorful pumpernickel bread.
And to top it all off with being expensive, they were too cheap to provide artificial sweetener for the teas and there was only real sugar.

We’ve started getting takeout from this joint frequently at work, as they have lots of healthy, veggie friendly options. I’ve tried the veggie burger with avocado & cheese, which was DELICIOUS, if a little much for lunch. I didn’t exactly feel like & airy after scarfing it down. :)
Today I went with a Johnny’s house salad, with tofu. It didn’t disappoint. Big enough to satisfy me (it takes a lot with salad, I can put that stuff DOWN), and chock full of good bits.
All in all, I’ve loved everything I’ve had from Offerdahls thus far, so I’ll continue to explore the menu. Can’t speak to the interior, since I’ve never been, but the food is simply scrumptious!

THE GOOD
The service was excellent. I had ordered some steak burger and when I got the meal it came with Cape Cod chips. As I was biting into my delightful sandwich and doing the head nod to whatever my date was saying I realized I could get a different side. I go back to the counter and ask if I can switch up my side. They gladly oblige and even let me sample the other options before I ended up choosing the ginger slaw.
As I mentioned before, the steak burger was pleasant. Angels were not singing about it, but it was definitely worthy of taking home if it was not finished there.
THE BAD
Where my food was good my date’s food was blah and blah. The soup was a very tasteless chowder. Average at best. Her salad was very sub-​par and one of the sadder Asian salads. The food is a hit or miss here.
THE UGLY
The date tells me she is hungry so I bring her to eat and I gladly oblige to pay. And what does she do? Text away and take maybe one or two bites. Next time she pays for the meal to text.
