Great China Express

Husband and I get delivery from Great China just about weekly. General Tso’s tofu is amaaaaaazing. Quick delivery, delicious food, and friendly staff.

Overall great place! Not a sit and dine kind of place, but there are tables and chairs. Ordered the vegetable lo mein, general tso’s chicken, sesame chicken, and fried wontons. Everything was great and flavorful expect the wontons; they tasted as if they were stuffed with sausage meat! Will be coming back here for some tasteful takeout.

I was new to this area and didnt know a good Chinese restaurant i went on Unilocal and needless to say all the other reviews just scared me but i saw this ones review and i said what heck might ass well i ordered the sesame chicken with pork fried rice, it was amazing i got in delivered to my house and they were fast and my food was steaming hot when i received it needless to say very good place

I read other Unilocaler’s good reviews, so I wanted to try this place out. The food was quite good, but there were other problems.
Hot and sour soup tasted made fresh and flavorful, Mapo tofu tasted flavorful too. But when I saw white things in Mapo tofu, I asked them what it was. They said, it’s chopped chicken. Typically, Mapo tofu is made with ground pork. They said, «We made our version of it, heh, heh, heh. It’s leaner and healthier.» Well, if I wanted a lean and healthy food, I wouldn’t have come to a Chinese restaurant in the first place. XD. That’s not for them to concern. If they were making it with chicken, they should have informed me, then I would have ordered something else. I didn’t want to drive all the way to this place to get something I didn’t expect to eat.
Ambient $ Price: this place is so small and beat up, and all the food comes in to go containers. It’s a fast food style, you go up to the front counter, and order your food. It’s definitely not the place to relax, chill out and enjoy meal to eat in.
But they charge the average «restaurant»
price even though they don’t have to pay for manual labor such as waiters and dishwashers. It doesn’t seem to be fair, and it’s rather strange.
I would come back «only» if they lower the menu price a couple of dollars cheaper. Their pricing seems not to be matching what
they are offering.

Our favorite Chinese in Gwinnett County! Prices are average but great for lunch. Love it and we will be returning customers.

For a quick and easy lunch/​dinner, we picked this place due to the great reviews and location. I was pretty excited to try a new place. and the prices were good.
We ordered Spicy beef n broccoli, Kung Pao and Sesame chicken. A few Egg rolls and Hot and Sour Soup. We waited just about 10 min and it was all ready to go. However back at home, the excitement did not last. The Hot and Sour soup was the worst version ever, no Sour, lots of grease.
The other food was just eh. plain and boring. The spicy was not spicy at all, the sesame chicken was the best of the lot and it was no better than any other place. Fried rice had no taste at all. White rice was fine.
Just a note, we found a staple in the Sesame chicken, I assume the staple flew out while they were stapling the bag of egg rolls (which were also boring and mushy). Disappointed and won’t be back

I’ve gotten take out from Great China Express twice now, and both times have been pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of the food. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s «as good as it gets,» but it’s certainly one of the best casual Chinese restaurants in the area.
GCE is located in a strip mall across the street from Berkmar High School in Lilburn. The inside is spartan: linoleum tile floors, cafeteria tables and chairs, and a simple walk up ordering bar in the rear. I’ve never had to wait very long to place an order, and the service is good if not particularly warm or friendly.
They offer dinner combos for around $ 8 that include an entrée, rice, an eggroll, and a crab rangoon. It’s a pretty good value for the money. In fact, there’s way more food than an individual ought to eat at once, so if you’re not feeling famished, I’d recommend splitting one. (Except if you split with me, I’m eating the entire crab rangoon because they are my favorite and pretty delicious at GCE.) I’ve tried both the General Tso’s and the Tai Chen chicken. Both were tasty, fresh, and well-​prepared. Everyone knows General Tso’s, but the Tai Chen chicken is a nice surprise, sauteed chicken breast with mixed vegetables in a spicy brown sauce. The eggroll appears to be 100% cabbage, pretty bland and forgetable. But otherwise, the food here is spot on.

Highly recommended!!! Food was really really tasty. People are humble and friendly. I will come back for sure.

I like this place i dont change. I alway like to buy my food here… I love ther food and the price are good ‘they give the right a mouth really good.

I ordered take out based on the reviews and everything previously stated is correct. This is my new Chinese food place of choice near home. You won’t be disappointed!

I ordered my food for delivery and it came SUPER FAST! I was not expecting it to come that fast at all as most places take forever. and the food is AWESOME!!! I had the shrimp kung pao and added beef also and the beef was so juicy and flavorful. the shrimp were huge and fresh. soup was great. I highly recommend this place if you want GREAT Chinese take out!

Very good flavor… better than your average chinese takeout. It’s not a place to be judged by its looks, no eye appeal. However the food makes up for it. I had orange chicken and my daughter had chicken and broccoli. The meal combos come with egg rolls and crad ragoon. Can’t beat that!

I’ve been ordering from Great China Express for over 10 years and I don’t think I’ve ever had an issue with my order, delivery is super fast and the food is always consistent. People visiting me always comment on how good it is. I love playing hookie from work and ordering lunch special General Tso’s and boneless spare ribs!

MAN! What a great find! This is truly a hole in the wall, but the food is wonderful! Fresh ingredients, fast service and very friendly! The inside doesn’t look like much but just order to-​go or they deliver for just a $ 10 dollar order!!! Portions are very generous and the owner is so kind and always throwing in «freebees» in my to go order. Make sure you order the Crab Rangoon, to die for!!! Quickly wil be become your fav chinese restaurant!
