Wonderful natural hair services. Very impressed with her and her vibe! Dani is very much into maintaining healthy hair structure. I have 4C coarse hair, my hair shrinks down to 95% when in it’s natural state. When it’s pressed it quite full and medium long.
She does a thorough assessment before doing hair services. Uses great products, very gentle with your hair.
I go to the salon usually every 4 months as I do my hair at home and rotate between an afro and wigs. I went in for a press, conditioner, and trim. Hair looked like it was ready for a hair magazine by the time she got done.
She recommends products to use at home that are not that expensive. She also makes sells natural soap, hair oil, and body butters. I bought the blueberrry soap (smells wonderful!) and the hair oil. I will see her again in another month or so.
Location is tucked away near the Citgo and book Café, may be a little hard to find. This is a private salon, which I love! No other customers will be there when you get hair services.
She takes credit cards, and runs your card first for half of the cost of services, then runs the card again for the balance when done. I found this a bit odd, but I didn’t mind since her services are great. It just was little confusing when I was trying to get the total price amount down in my head. Splitting the card swipes is a good way for customers to spend more money since you’re not tracking the spending as closely if there was just one card swipe. But that’s fine with me since I feel her services are worth it.
Some people may find her prices a bit high for natural hair services. I think her prices are reasonable. If you want quality hair care you must invest in that and I have no problem with that. She esp. worth it if your hair is damaged and you need to get it repaired properly. Your money is well spent.
There are a lot of people that market themselves as «natural hair care specialists» so they can make a quick buck in this booming hair niche. And then the treat your hair without customizing your hair treatment and your hair gets damaged.
Dani is the COMPLETE opposite of this as she loves what she does and really, REALLY knows about natural hair care
Dani is funny, smart, and a higher consciousness type of woman. Dani got me to relax in the middle of a stressful work day which is hard for me to day sometimes since I work in a stressful career! I highly recommend her services!

She expertly interlocked and colored my locs. She even corrected the work of my previous stylist. Her work was on point!

The owner is very professional, yet friendly and down to earth. The prices are reasonable and she is very good at what she does. Be prepared to laugh and get to know a really great person while you’re getting your hair done. My hair looks great and I’ll be back to switch things up in a few months.

This was my first time visit this morning 2÷14÷14. Love Ms. Dani ! She’s very down to earth and professional. Knowledgeable about hair and educate you about your natural hair and what products to use and what hair styles compilments your face. Also, explains the type of texture of your hair and gives great advice on how to nurture you’re hair healthy. shop is very cozy and intimate setting. I will be back to Ms. Dani in two week!

Mrs. Dani, owner of Lotus Locs takes pride in her work as a hair care stylist. As shown by the fact that she is prompt for her appointments, and started working on my wife’s hair just a few moments after arriving. Although a smaller space and a bit off of the beaten path, the hair care Mrs. Dani provides is worth the search. She is only open by appointment only, so keep that in mind. And she specializes in natural hair care.
