This is a neat two-level pub with decent food. I had a sandwich(forgot the name) that actually had mashed potatoes, pork, and some crazy cheesy sauce as parts of the sandwich. It worked! The bar looked pretty inviting, but I couldn’t spring for drinks during business hours. Bummer! ;-)

Reasonable prices and great beer selection. Friendly staff and cool outdoor patio. Perfect place to hit up before the game.

I came here for lunch on a Friday, and though never really paid attention to it when passing by, was decently surprised by the food! I ordered the turkey panini with fries and the portion itself was huge, so I finished the sandwich and maybe two of the fries. The fries were interestingly shaped and pretty good(idk how to provide opinion on fries, lol) and I liked the panini, as well. Can’t say much about drinks since we didn’t have any, but service was 10⁄10 and food was good, too!

First if all, I have to say that we found the seating uncomfortable. The base of the high top tables are wide barrels which leave no legroom, so we have to hunch over really far to get to our food, and we kept banging our legs into the barrel, which was wobbly to begin with. While we were waiting for our food, the smarmy blond bartender decided to open up the large«garage» doors behind us. We had elected to sit inside, eschewing the available outdoor seating due to the extreme humidity that afternoon. As we were the only customers staying inside, it would have been courteous for him to ask our preference, but alas, he did not. After he opened the doors, we were immediately made uncomfortable for the rest of the meal, and were surrounded by a swarm of flies. The food was extremely bland for the most part. We had shepherd’s pie, which tasted of rosemary, but nothing else. We had to add a large amount of salt and pepper to wring any flavor at all out of the dish. We also tried the corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef was served in a shredded style and was acceptable quality and quantity if not exceptional in taste. Unfortunately the accompanying cabbage and potatoes were dreadful. They were quite over cooked and very bland except for the awful aftertaste from… beer? Overall we prefer the atmosphere, the staff, the tables, and especially the food more at the other Irish pub across the street.

Five stars for being a great bar with spot on service EVERYTIME. There’s a great staff who personally greet my buddies and I every time we walk in. Lauren, Lucy Aaron and Tim are my favorites, The owner is a cool dude too. The food is lacking. Their corned beef is average at best and the sandwiches are nothing to write home about. The bartenders tell me they are working on installing a bigger kitchen and revamping the menu though. If you’re feeling like having a good time order a round of Irish trash cans!

We just made a quick stop into this cozy little spot, but had such a great experience– I HAVE to Unilocal it up! Although this place is ground-level, once you head to the bar you might really feel like you’re in an authentic basement bar in Dublin. The bartenders were über-friendly, and made us feel welcome from the minute we walked in. This place has an impressive whiskey and beer selection, and even has some fun drink specials. We tried the«Breakfast Shot» on Sunday special for $ 4. It was a combo of Butterscotch Schnapps and Honey Whiskey with an OJ chaser. Strangely amazing! I could have wasted the day away in this homey spot if I wasn’t careful, be warned Next time we’ll come back for the food– the Guiness Onion Dip looks too interesting to pass up! The bartender told us they’ll have some amazing St. Patty’s day food– so give it a try!

My old review spoke negatively about the food. I haven’t eaten here in awhile so I can no longer speak of the food. It sounds like they’ve changed the menu and it isn’t as bad. 5 stars for one of my favorite places to get a drink. Awesome vibes, awesome bartenders, cool owner. Everything you can want in a bar. Prices can get high but hey, you’re not on O street. Have a trash can for me. Brat

I love Irish Bars, especially those that know how to pour a good Guinness. Lots of whiskey to choose from and they also have a pretty good food options like the Guinness Onion Dip, Fish and Chips, and Bangers & Mash. We had a private party on their upper level which holds about 30 people or so. Overall a nice bar in the Haymarket area that’s not to far from Pinnacle Bank Arena to hang out with some friends.

Rough. Won’t be back. I doubt these folks have a clue about Irish cuisine. I think the stew was Dinty Moore? The drinks were fair Haymarket price.

Stopped in for a drink on the way to another gathering and we were very pleasantly surprised. There is a great selection of both beers on tap and by the bottle. Of course, with an Irish theme like«McKinney’s», there was a heavy emphasis on Guinness. They also have a very nice selection of signature mixed drinks to offer. Since it was cold out that might, we tried the hot buttered rum(and they make their own butter concoction in house). It was absolutely delicious and I would recommend it to any adult wishing to warm up with a delightful drink. I can’t wait to go back and try the food next time!

Stopped in for drinks and was pleasantly surprised at the wide selection! The hot buttered rum drink was amazing! Their house butter mix was amazing on a cold day!!! Wait staff was very pleasant and their prices were really reasonable! It was clean, warm, and welcoming! The Black and Tan was one of the best that my husband had, had! Great selection of beers and mixed drinks! I can’t wait to go back and try the food when I’m back in town !

Good Irish pub! Came here on a Saturday night and received great service. The girl who waited on us was very knowledgable about all the beverages they offered. They carry a perky banana nut bread beer that I highly recommend you try! Also patio seating is offered which is always a plus in my book.
