Great customer service & the creamy tomato basil took me to my mother’s kitchen as she would make it for me as a young tot. I would recommend crafting your own delicious grilled cheese to complement the soup.

This was great comfort food, it was faster than I expected and there were a lot of choices, it was a little overwhelming! Mostly tomato soup plus a soup of the day so be mindful of that if you have tomato haters dining. But there is plenty to eat on the menu apart from soup. All had grilled cheese, I had creamy tomato basil. Shared a s’mores donut. Not health food, but tasty!

Not necessarily my type of restaurant, I was drug here by the family. All in all I was petty impressed. Had the spicy and tater soup, pretty damn good. The staff was very friendly, nice, and helpful.

Great variety of grilled cheese! Very friendly staff. I had smoked Gouda on wheat and chunky tomato basil soup. Great meal for under $ 5.

The absolute friendliest people. Their food is amazing and they actually care about your experience. Every time we come we are greeted by Marie, who apparently never has a bad day.

This is a great fast food option. The sandwiches are definitely comfort food(read greasy and yummy). The turkey pesto was delicious. The space is comfortable — bright and cheery. A good, quick lunch spot.

The classic tomato soup tastes bitter. Wondering why they don’t have classic creamy tomato. Not a fan of tomato-basil soups, so felt limited and disappointed in the«Tom» choices, though the idea of the small dipping portion is great. A wider variety of tomato soups would be more appealing. Swiss-Shroom was delicious the first time, with nicely caramelized onions/mushrooms and crunchy, grilled bread. The next time, my sandwich was soggy and not cohesive because the onions and mushrooms were not caramelized enough, like they’d rushed it. They weren’t busy at all though. Wish they had regular chips in addition to kettle fried. Found myself wishing for some potato salad or french fries. It was about $ 20 for two sandwiches, a cup and dipper of soup, and two drinks. I was looking to love this place. Dang.

The customer service here is AMAZING. We walked and we’ve never been here and they explained the whole menu in a great attitude and the manager talked to us just to make sure we were doing great. The food is amazing as well. Totally recommend!

More than just grilled cheese and tomato soup! Lots of yummy combinations like bbq bacon, italian, crunchy garlic chicken. Or the pesto turkey, swiss mushroom, and grilled mac and cheese are some of my favorites. For your sweet tooth, try the grilled cheese donuts like Bananarama, S’more, or the King with banana and peanut butter mascarpone! So good you will be back!

I was a little worried when I walked in at 5:30pm and there was absolutely no one in the restaurant but I am not completely sure why that was. My Hippy+Chee was awesome! But my tomato soup was not good. It just seemed soooo acidic and tasted more like tomato juice but thicker. BUT, maybe I am not a good judge for tomato soup, seeing I only every have my mom’s recipe(so I’m biased). But, the macaroni and cheese was fantastic! So, I will definitely be coming back, but not ordering the TOM of TOM+CHEE.

While the layout and design of the place was pretty lackluster, it was made up for by the overwhelming friendliness of the staff. We were greeted immediately after walking in the door, and we witnessed another customer’s order get mixed up and the staff stopped at nothing to make it up to the customer. That was pretty cool to see considering there are a million and a half other places that just would have tried to sweep it under the rug. As far as the food, it was. Meh. I ordered the Pep Chee. My girlfriend and our friend both ordered the Brie cheese sandwich with the chunky tomato soup. Was it bad? No. But at the end of the day, you’re paying 8 or 9 bucks for a grilled cheese. Nothing you order there isn’t something you couldn’t whip up at home in 5 or less minutes flat for a tiny piece of the cost that you pay at Tom + Chee.

We’ve been here a few times now. The only sandwich we’ve found to like is the Flying Pig and Hot+Spicy. I wish there were more options for sandwiches using ham. Building your own grilled cheese can really add up quickly and turn into an over $ 8 sandwich if you want any meat on it. For a place specializing in tomato soup and grilled cheese, the tomato soup is a disappoint. We got the chunky tomato basil and creamy tomato basil. Both tasted as if warmed from a can. I think the main problem with the food here is nothing has great flavor. It’s disappointing when you go for lunch and pay almost $ 20 for underwhelming flavors. The sign on the register says students can get a 10% discount on any order at any time. What they mean to say is as long as you don’t use any other coupons or promotions you can get 10% off.

I was walking past this little place last fall and saw the advertisement for gluten free bread and knew I had to try it. I finally made it in a couple months ago and I wasn’t disappointed. The setting has a fast food type of feel to it, I won’t lie I was a little disappointed in the atmosphere as I was expecting something different. You go up to the register and place your order and then grab a classic table and chair that could come out of any Mac Ds. The service was great. Everyone was really pleasant. There was a mix up when another customer grabbed my order and the kitchen must have apologized a million times and rushed me out a new one. My gluten free Brie grilled cheese and tomato basil soup was excellent. There was a bit more grease on the bread than I normally would like, but the flavor was awesome. My friend also enjoyed what he ordered. Price is very affordable. I’ll def be back and maybe just take a sandwich and a cup of soup to go sometime

Very expensive for average food. Wasn’t terrible, but 13 dollars later I wasn’t impressed. Everything you order is priced separately. I assumed you could order a grilled cheese and tomato soup«meal» and it wasn’t an option. If I went back I would do things differently. Brat

Definitely a Jekyll and Hyde experience. They brought out my meal and sat before me a glorious looking sandwich and cup of delicious looking soup. The bread had that beautiful crisp texture to it that just screams that this place knows how to make a sandwich. My mouth wasn’t disappointed either as I bit into that golden brown delicacy of cheese, pickles, and meat. Such an awesome experience on a cold day. I then dipped my spoon into that cup of red tomato goodness and brought up a steaming spoonful to my mouth to join the orgy of flavors partying in there already. You can guess the outcome when the party pooper blended with my tasty guests and brought the mood from that of a rave, to one similar to sitting in a wake. The classic tomato soup needed something… anything. Just some fricken flavor. It was soooooooo bland. In all fairness, I did choose the classic, anticipating something similar to that creamy goodness my wife makes. I should have ordered the creamy basil maybe? I shall never know, as I am so disappointed in the taste of the classic that I probably will never order the soup again. Will I return? Hell yes! Will I order soup again. I can get better somewhere else. Like a can of Campbell’s.

What a unique new place! Great lunch. It was our first time trying. I was very shocked about the cool menu! I ordered the Choco Bacon Bliss which is a DONUTGRILLEDCHEESE. Who would’ve thought?! And I ordered a cup of cheeseburger soup. My boyfriend ordered the Crunch Garlic Chicken and tomato basil soup. It was all really good and we’re really excited to try other stuff on the menu! We got our food in no less than 5 minutes which is amazing. WARNING: the donut sandwiches are more so a dessert. Only con: overpriced. Our total was 20.23 which is a little much for small sandwiches. We’ll be back!
