The worst experienced ever — went for Father’s Day and they squeezed in extra tables into this small room, we were seated at a long folding table with very uncomfortable folding chairs(and plastic table cloth) with absolutely no room between tables. Then they brought out our order and two were missing, and took forever to get everyone served(there were only 5 of us, not exactly a large party). Never again.

My #1 favorite for breakfast. If you are looking for a delicious breakfast thats not greasy or fatty this place has plenty of options. My kids love the brakfast for champions and I like not worrying about too much fat or too much sugar. Thanks for always a great service!

I’ve been coming here for years, very lovely brunch spot. The prices are very reasonable and they’re always adding new things to the menu. I just tried the Salmon Benedict and it was great! It’s usually super crowded during the weekends, especially if the weather is nice, so be prepared to wait.

Decent breakfast venue. The skillets are my personal favorite. The pancakes are also good. Never had a problem with the service. Weekends get crazy busy and the servers are amazing.

Let me start out by saying I have been coming to this location since high school so for a good 10+ years. The food and service have always been good, so 4 stars for that. What is prompting this negative review is what happened with my son and their drawing contest. When you walk in, to your right, you see picture kids drew that were hung up. We were told that they are chosen each month and the winners get a free kids meal. With that in mind, my 4 year old went to work. Being the loud mouth that he is, he was getting everyone’s attention saying«look at my drawing, did I win?» I mean what 4 year old is not excited about winning? To his surprise, some of the staff hung up his picture and gestured him to come and see. He was over the moon with excitement. At check it we were told he will get a free meal next time we come in. Fast forward to today, and were told«manager said your son fake won» and doesn’t get anything. Winners get picked at the end of the month get a call home(where is there even a place to put your name and phone number?) etc. Now I don’t care about a free $ 5 meal, but I do care that you had my excited son«fake win» your contest and when he finally convinces me to come in to claim his prize he is disappointed. I’m sure there was some sort of misunderstanding the first day(there’s usually like 4 staff at least talking to you at different times while dining and then at check out), but still, disappointing a kid is not cool. In the future don’t make kids«feel better» by saying that they won if they didn’t actually win.

Fast seating and service for a Saturday morning. Really tasty eggs benedict. The breakfast potatoes tasted like chopped up french fries, but sometimes you like that. Good hot coffee. Will return!

This was probably my 4th time visiting this location, but I came here for breakfast yesterday around 9am. The place was super crowded(which I see as a good sign: either they have great food or not enough room— I would say it would be the quality of food :)) like usual. My friend and I were seated within 10 minutes. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. I wish I could remember his name. He referred to everything as «sweet deal». So nice. Definitely made the whole experience awesome. I ended up leaving a 30% tip, he deserved it! Anyways the food, in my opinion is of pretty good quality. You always get what you paid for there. And I love how you can always customize your eggs with add-ins. It’s an additional charge, but worth it. If you have back problems I would not recommend sitting in their booths/benches, due to fact that they are the equivalent of wooden rails. The seats are fine though. Overall clean restaurant and friendly staff throughout my previous visits too. Highly recommend the Mocha Java drink w/whipped cream and sprinkles. To Die For. I will definitely be back in the future

The best breakfast place in the north shore. High quality ingredients, an always evolving menu from a creative chef, friendly service, and fair pricing for the quality. I love it.

I can’t believe i haven’t reviewed this before. I’ve had take out from here many times. It is one of my son’s favorite places and many times he brings home something for me. Always good ingredients and flavorful. I’ve always had the lunch options rather than the breakfast. Always crowded. Always just a little more than I want to pay.

One of mine and my family’s favorites! We love their breakfast. Their food is better than anywhere else. The skillets and omelets are so delicious. Sometimes is very busy and might need to wait but its very worth it. We don’t mind wait.

I will never understand why people enjoy breakfast so much. We came here because most of the other breakfast places in the area were full with long waits. There was a wait here as well but only 10 or 15 minutes. We were seated and proceeded to get our«brunch» on. The food was acceptable. I had the harvest salad which was good. I had a seat that was facing the kitchen which was kind of strange and took away from my experience a bit. Seeing the people running in and out was distracting. They tried to put a curtain like divider up but it didn’t really make a difference. To me it was no better than a Denny’s.

I am always surprised at how good the food at Egg Harbor is. This location was the fastest service I have ever received and very friendly.

Pass on this one. Had better at other Egg Harbors. Wrote Corporate some comments about this location, and all they could say is they were aware of problems and will look into it. REALLY? You were aware and«are looking into it». Doesn’t do much for me after my mediocre breakfast.

Unilocal at its finest, we found this place through Unilocal to try and loved it. Arrived for Saturday morning brunch and was worried when we saw how many people waiting, but the wait for our party of two was said to be 15−20th minutes. They have complimentary coffee while you wait and we popped into a cute boutique next door for a few. This place gets it. On a busy Saturday they used a team approach to serving that really worked. We were in love with the menu options. I had the power skillet with chicken sausage(over sweet potatoes) and he had the chicken sausage basil and goat cheese scrambler with pancakes and pumpkin coffee. The food was quick, hot, fresh and delicious! The décor was very egg, chicken, rooster inspired and fun. The staff really made great food an exceptional experience. We thanked our server, Tara, and found out she was the manager. Loved that she was out and about helping them! Again, awesome staff and good = awesome casual dining experience!

My first visit to this Egg Harbor was disappointing but I waited to write a review until after my second visit which was equally disappointing. The only reason this location even rates two stars is the service which was very friendly though it took more than one request to get extra items such as butter and cream. The food — plain and simple — was just bad. The first visit I ordered an omelet — the driest, most tasteless omelet I have ever eaten. This time I ordered the Skinny Rosti — overcooked eggs, undercooked potato, too much salsa — it was horrible. I was with a group so I did not want to make a fuss over my order but I did mention at check out(since they asked) that my food was not good. I did not receive much reaction to that comment. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at a Egg Harbor(used to be a breakfast favorite) — I can only hope this location has not become representative of their current quality. There will be one opening up near me in Schaumburg and I will wait for reviews before trying it out.

My fiancé and I come here all the time, even though we live in the city. I have Celiac’s, so this place is a rare gem for me. I have never once gotten«glutened» here, so if you have gluten intolerance, fear not! The skillets and scramblers are so yummy, prices are incredibly reasonable, and service is egg-cellent. I have had some«meh» dishes here, but when I stick to the make your own skillets and scramblers, I am always very happy and leave very full!

Great breakfast and fast service. My omelette was rich in flavor and texture. It came with toast and homemade jelly. Potatoes come with it too with the option to make them«shredded». The Cinnamon Swirl French toast was also to die for! Imagine French toast but made with cinnamon rolls instead of bread… just amazing!

Favorite breakfast in town! The food is delicious, nutritious, fast and reasonably priced. The only negative is that it’s ALWAYS packed and your forced to wait 30 – 45 minutes to be seated. Which you forget all about your irritation after the great service and the delicious food. Please open a larger restaurant :)

Egg Harbor is my all time favorite breakfast spot. The quality and selection is fantastic. The servers are fast and friendly. Their harbor potatoes are AMAZING. If you are looking for a great breakfast(or lunch) spot you can’t go wrong. It is a little more expensive than other places, but well worth it. It is so popular the wait on Saturday/Sunday morning can be upwards of 30 minutes. Go early, or be prepared to wait a bit(once again, worth it!).

Holly chickens! Or is it roosters? kind of looked like both. So many chicken pictures and chicken knick knacks. I get that they are trying to really incorporate the mighty mascot but it was too overwhelming for me. I cant eat my scrambler if I have 7000 chickens looking at me. Maybe is their way of taking your mind off the bad food… yes about that! It wasnt good at all. They had a lot of options and all looked cool and inviting but the end result was very mediocre and forgettable. Not even the massive pot of coffee they leave in your table can help this review as it was the worst coffee ever. They serve intelligencia but so does Wildberry so I can tell something is wrong here. I love the independent coffee pot but the coffee was awful so my excitement was cut short. Needless to say I wont return… I am really disappointed.

Yikes. I’ve been here in the past and was never too impressed with this place. Just mediocre breakfast food in my opinion. My visit today was somewhat disappointing. My boyfriend ordered the coffee and made a comment that it tasted funny. We looked at the menu in advance and we were both super excited to try out what we found. He ordered the fried green tomato benedict and I ordered the garden pesto frittata. I tried his and thought there was an odd taste. Mine was nothing special. the eggs were a bit dry. I have to say the service was pretty good but the food? Not so much.

One of my favorite work(meal) meetings is one of the breakfast nature. Mostly because I can hit up just about any local place on a weekday morning and feel confident that I won’t be fighting a dreaded(weekend) waitlist. And there’s nothing better than indulging in a pile full of eggs or pancakes without the wait. Egg Harbor is tucked away in an upscale strip mall; so much tucked away that you may have to drive around the building and actually read the directional signs to find it. Inside you’ll find a large variety of big booths and tables all in a fairly long and narrow restaurant. Offerings and staff were both pleasant and after ordering my Roswell Scrambler, my food was on the table within 15 – 20 minutes. The scrambler itself was A-OK — filled with bacon, avocado and vine-ripened tomato topped with melted Swiss cheese. Flavor wise, it was a little lacking, so if I were to go with this one again I’d probably hotsauce it up or go with pepperjack if available. They kindly subbed a fresh fruit cup for potatoes. Overall, an A-OK experience all around. Pro-tip: Free WiFi and pay at the front
