The food was good and the demo girl was so sweet, but what made it a TWO star was the guy behind the counter who was so rude! I wanted a refill, and even with the REFILL, you still have to order at least 10.00 to use a credit or debit card. I was looking for some cookies to buy, which they did not have, so he DID say«pay me later», but what made me NOT take it was the fact that he copped such an attitude! Never again! Chipotle here I come!

Manchu walk does have good food, but it gets a five star review because of the very kind women named Regina who works there who just made my day because of how wonderful of a person she was. She have me a Taste of the honey garlic chicken which I thought was juicy and flavorful. The plate came with vegetables and rice and a soft drink for About seven dollars.

If I was just giving a rating based on the food I’d be in a bind wanting to give it 2 ½ stars and probably would end up having to go with a final rating of 2 stars, but it would have been a difficult decision. However, the friendly young lady working behind the counter was what nudged it just over slightly closer to an overall 3 than a 2 so 3 stars it is. There were some hits and some misses in my meal. As far as the eggroll goes if what I had was the norm here I say avoid it at all costs! It was mushy on the inside and had a weird taste. The bourbon chicken was tasty and I enjoyed it. As far as the orange chicken goes it was good, but unfortunately overly sweet. I also had the chow mien and it looked good, but unfortunately as far as flavor goes it was pretty bland. The star of the show for me was the deep fried cheesecake. I really enjoyed it. The cheesecake inside did resemble cheesecake in taste, but it actually tasted more like a vanilla pudding to me. It was all in all a good little dessert and I can see myself stopping in to order it again.

Manchu Wok seems to have disappeared in Nor Cal where Panda Express seems to rule. I was happy to try it when I was visiting Chi-town. The orange chicken was pretty good and appreciated all the veggie options as well. I don’t think it is better than Panda Express but still a good fast food option.

If you’re looking for Chinese food at O’Hare…this place is your ticket. It’s decent, pre-prepared food a la Panda, though I think Panda is better. If you’re looking for gourmet Chinese– definitely skip. If you’re looking for something edible to compete with airplane sandwiches– seal the deal.

I do realize it’s not really authentic Chinese food, but it’s tasty, affordable AND the people behind the counter are always nice. You can pick several items to sample, and they’ll be happy to serve it to you. I especially enjoyed their Bourbon– Kung Pao– and Orange Chicken, as well as Chow Mein. Simple, delicious Asian fare! Try it, you’ll like it!
