Came for the first time tonight with my sister and had a really good time. Everyone was really nice and the food was pretty good. The band was amazing I really enjoyed myself. Only bad thing is the drinks, I think someone forgot to add the liquor other than that I had a good time and I plan to come back soon!!!

This I some of the best places! Robin(the owner) treats everyone like family! If you want to see blues in NJ, this is it. Class A musicians play here on the reg, and their turkey burger and«Purdie» fried wings(named after THE Bernard PUrdie who has hung out at this joint too many times to count). It’s a guaranteed good time here!

Amazing place. Took my best friend out here for his birthday and wasn’t disappointed. Music was great and drinks were a reasonable price. The owner even came up to introduce herself. Would love to come back here very soon. I highly recommend it for anyone who can give some old school tunes a chance.

This place rocks. A great night out. Music was great. Sound was great. The mood in this place was relaxing and down right cool. If you like live music you have to stop in its easy to get to. Music with heart and soul in your face. Dont get no better.

5 stars for music. None for everything else. Do not order mixed drinks here! Thimble size glasses, you know the ones I mean. Then pack them with ice and what do we have? Not much. These people are lovely, but please! Pour a decent drink! With a $ 10 cover and a 2 drink minimum? I’m not too enticed to return to this destination tiny club. If you come for the music, which makes the trip worthwhile, do yourself a favor and order beer, bottled or draft. BTW, the bar had NO white wine and awful red on our visit. How do you run a business like that. You’ve got to be kidding. Oh yeah, the teeny tiny drinks were $ 7.50 each. Absolutely ridiculous.

Go. Don’t ask any questions, just go. For THEBEST blues(and good jazz,) in New Jersey, just go. The state doesn’t know a better hostess(owner) than Robin. She touches us patrons as much as the artists, so they come. And they play. And do they play. You soooooo want to be there all the time. Kitchen isn’t fancy but it’s good. The waitstaff(esp. Marie,) is one happy crew and you aren’t sc%^wed on price. Weekend cover.

excellent blues spot. very small, intimate and authentic with a heavy rotation of talent. the type of spot that might have existed in NYC30 years ago(pre-gentrification) but lives on in the dirty jerz.

I feel honored to be the first to write a review. I’m surprised by this, especially since there are so few blues clubs in the area. Anyways, I love Robin’s Nest. I was there just last night for my birthday and the staff really made me feel special. I went to see JB Lawson and boy, did he put on a show! An added treat was Dean Shot, whom I had missed from the days when he was at Skippers in Newark, NJ. If the venue were not so small I would’ve given them 5 stars. Try the Pretty Purdy wings and the bread pudding.
