Love this eye doctor!!! Glad I was able to locate him on Unilocal, since his move from Visalia. Dr. Peterson is very professional and so is his staff. I recommend him to everyone I know. Now I look forward to returning to his office and friendly staff. Great eye doctor for children as well.

My visit started off to a good start. However, they messed up on my contact order. In the past they have given me someone else’s glasses and they have also given me someone else’s contacts. The doctor is friendly but the assistants are somewhat rude and they ALWAYS mess up my orders.

I too noticed the Christian worship music haha! Back in ’09 I had an exam here with my family. The guy takes too long, at least that was the longest eye exam I’ve ever had. He gave me two different prescriptions for both eyes. Which I always thought was unnecessary and annoying. I mean I know my eyes are bad, but –5.25 and –5.24 really isn’t much of a difference! I could’ve done well with having both the same. I got glasses and contacts, very pricey! I think any other chain like LensCrafters or Costco would’ve been the ideal way to go about this to save some money, but oh well. Anyways, I recently came here for my sunglasses prescription. Of course it was costly, but they came out nice and cute. The ladies at the front are nice. Except the one with the accent, don’t care for her snooty knowitall attitude. From now on ill stick to getting my prescription at Costco and ordering online at 1800contacts!

The first thing I noticed as I walked into the little office was Christian music. You know the kind… Jesus saves and walks in the sunshine evangelical music. Then I noticed a travel Bible in the lobby along with racks of evangelical Christian pamphlets. Really in bad taste. I mean, low-brow middle America bad taste and style. Can you possibly make the lobby more uncomfortable? We live in the 21st century in a diverse society with people of different lifestyles, orientations, and religious backgrounds. That sort of bias is really alienating to believers, unbelievers, Christians, and non-Christians alike. We all have a right to our personal beliefs, and we also have a right not to have other people’s beliefs pushed on us. So you’re hit with a distinct evangelical Christian vibe. I find it to be really unprofessional in a business setting. Also, I didn’t find the staff to be particularly friendly or outgoing. The doctors are competent. The exam was fine and thorough. Even with vision insurance the rates for lenses and frames seem too high. Really high. And the office is closed weekdays between 1230-130 for lunch. That’s ridiculous. Have you ever heard of staggering lunch breaks to keep the office open for BUSINESS??? Ummmm… yeah, God bless…
