Happy Garden

People are really nice and I really loved the food really good. The space is kind of small but the food definitely compensates for it. Great service overall!

Consistently fresh food and solid vegetarian options. I placed my order via the BeyondMenu app and it was ready when I arrived. Portions are large and fairly priced. There are a few tables and the restaurant is very clean.

Love this place. My work moved to a different location so I haven’t went here in almost a year. Still just as good and their newer menu items are decent.
I could eat here every day. Happy the same family is working there.

I’m new to the area and wanted some good Americanized Chinese food. I would love to have rated this restaurant on a very high scale especially since it had already received such high reviews. And I was really looking forward to trying it out!
I placed my order for a chicken teriyaki appetizer and a large shrimp fried rice via the online app (which I downloaded just to order). I waited over two hours (order placed at 7:18 pm/​called 9:48 pm) being its a Friday night and a lot of ppl order out on the weekends.
When the phone was picked up the lady said they never received my order and tried to take it over the phone. I maintained my cool very well especially since I’m HANGRY by this time. I tell her nevermind and not to worry about it because I needed to eat now.
Low and behold… I get a DANG NABBIT email from the online app saying the order was canceled not even 30 seconds after hanging up the phone!!! I’m like what the what!!! And to think I was going to give them another try because I’m thinking it’s not their fault if the online ordering through the app wasn’t working… hence the purpose of this negative review. GET IT TOGETHER HAPPY GARDENS CAUSE I’M NOT HAPPY!!!

Good food and a pleasant surprise. We called to request a delivery to our hotel. They told us the food would be delivered in 40 – 45 minutes. To our surprise, the food was delivered within 30 minutes. The food was hot and tasty, and was priced very reasonably. Good food with good service equals success in my book.

It all started when I had a craving for General Tso’s chicken at work. There I was, dying to find a place within the area to get that delicious deep fried chicken with the sweet and spicy sauce to cure my craving, but to no avail. Then a bright idea popped into my head! Why not wait until after work? There are plenty of Chinese Take-​outs around my house, so I did just that! Onwards I went, pondering on ordering from my frequently used establishment or somewhere new. I decided that I needed a breath of fresh air and found Happy Garden. In the nook of a «shopping» center (if you can even call it that), I found this gem. I parked my car, got out, and walked determinedly into the establishment. After looking at the menu, I was ready. I placed my order with the lovely woman at the register and waited. It took the cooks around five minutes. All the while, I dreamt about what will ensue. Finally, they announced my order. I rushed to my car, drove home, and opened the neatly packaged bag. In a rectangular container, my heaven awaited. Not only was it hot, but it looked spectacular. Without further ado, I dug in. I was met with a plethora of flavors; all divine. The sweetness met with the spiciness and danced in my mouth. Before long, I was unfortunately full, overly so, but to my amazement, I still had a whole serving left! I packed it away and declared to eat it for breakfast! Now here I am, full of my favorite meal, happier than ever, and I still have some left. The vacation continues!
TL;DR
If you have a hankering for some General Tso’s or anything else for that matter, I would most definitely recommend going to Happy Garden. Not only did I pay $ 8.32 for the main course, pork fried rice, and an eggroll, but I was also treated respectfully. The inside yields six to seven four seater tables, a clean and quiet environment, and a place to take your friends for a luncheon. The employees put the ‘Happy’ in Happy Garden.

Very good Chinese food at a very reasonable price. They have indoor seating as well. This is a small location for seating. They do have some tables available.
The food was tasty and plentiful. This is in a business area but would definitely be back if in that area again.
I tried the shrimp fried Rice and the Perfect Match.
We also purchased some Crab wontons to go.
I also hear they have really good lunch specials as well. We actually stopped here after the movies and when l’m looking for Chinese food again we would return.

All of the reviews are right., this is the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time at a carry out … I ordered the lunch special pepper steak and rice and the shrimp lo mein with wonton soup and an egg roll… Every thing was cooked to order and that alone won me over … But when I tasted each entrée and the sides … My tongue did the happy dance lol… Deliccccccccccious … Definitely on my go to places

Happy Garden is great! I’ve only ordered take out from here, but the food is always amazing. $ 10 min order for take out, and the food is delivered on time. The general Tso chicken is one of the best I’ve had. They have lots of combos and lunch times specials.

This place was an awesome surprise! After having a few beers at the Heavy Seas brewery we decided to stop at this near by restaurant. It looks like your typical Chinese carry out but the food blew us away. The veggies were fresh and everything I tried was delicious. I tried the beef and broccoli which was great and my friend got the General Tso’s chicken which was probably my favorite dish. Great little hidden gem.

Quick delivery and food is typical Chinese, not bad but not great either. Ordering by phone you have to have a lot of patience in trying to communicate what you want, address etc.

I’ve been searching for a good Chinese food take out restaurant that’s local to me and I’m sure I’ve found it. I’ve tried other surrounding Chinese food restaurants and was never satisfied. Spring rolls, broccoli in garlic sauce & rice are all my favorite dishes.

You can not beat their $ 5 – 7 lunch specials.
This is some of the best chinese food that I have had outside of NY. Everything is better in NY… lol.
Specials come with entrée, white rice/​fried rice and egg roll/​soup/​can of soda. This place makes you feel that you aren’t eating from a greasy fat-​filled place. Don’t get me wrong… this will help with hangovers. But, its not so greasy that your heart feels like stopping. I have had the chicken and broccoli and the broccoli was fresh and not overcooked.

Shockingly good Chinese option in what looks like, seemingly, the middle of nowhere. My husband and I ordered the General Tso’s and we were not disappointed in the least. One of the definite positives of this place is that we had the option to order brown rice instead of white, which is not usual in most quick Chinese takeout places. The food was very good — fresh, not at ALL greasy, and plentiful. They provided chopsticks, which was also a nice change — some of us ‘muricans do know how to use them properly!
Quick service, too — not overly friendly, but that’s fine. This looks like a small family-​run business, which is just the kind of place that I like to support.
This is the best Chinese we’ve had since we visited New York City a couple of years ago, and that’s saying something.
We dined in — it’s not a fancy atmosphere, but that’s fine too. It was quiet — only us and a couple of family members eating lunch.
If we ever get around this way again, we’ll definitely be back. For those who live in the area — go, you will not be disappointed.
A small «highlight» — apparently the person who lives next to this place has a tiny little «farm» of sorts — we saw chickens, goats, geese waddling around in the backyard, which is a little odd for Linthicum, but hey. (Make sure and stay back from the property, though, there are warning signs.)

Good cheap take-​out. Had combo chicken and broccolli with pork fried rice and an egg roll under $ 8. A ton of food for that price — everything was great except chicken was average/​good. The egg roll was as good as New York. People were very nice behind counter.

While we were waiting on our pizza at the pizza place in the same shopping center, we decided to stop in a get some orange chicken and I’m glad we did. Although it was near closing time, the orange chicken was made fresh and crispy. Not too spicy but just right. Plenty of chicken to share between two.

I work nearby and we had ordered for the whole office (16 people) shortly after this shop opened. I was impressed with not only the speed of their delivery, but that the entire order was complete and accurate.
Went back today by myself for another try. My carryout order was ready before I walked in the door. I ordered Hot and Spicy Beef (see pic). I liked that they used a 2-​piece plastic container with top for the carryout meal instead of the usual styrofoam tray with attached fold-​over lid.
There are five or six tables here if you choose to sit and eat your meal. The shop is clean and bright.

Always friendly, always helpful and consistent. The lunch and dinner specials are always a hit. I only order my lo mien from here since they know how to cook it right. Not too mushy and not over cooked, just right. Their fried rice is done correctly too. Not to oily and not undercooked. Just right! I am a fan of the beef with garlic sauce and their chicken lo mien. I’ve tried other things off the menu but always end up going back to one of my favorites.
There are a few tables and chairs for those who cannot wait to get home and would like to eat in. Reasonably priced and good portions for your money.
