Fantastic variety of fresh ice cream! Just walking distance from my home, doesn’t get any better than that !

It used to be good before the unfriendly new owner took over. The prices are out of control. I now go to Aurethusa!

The waffle cones are sublime!!! They don’t drip and the a treat unto themselves! We had peanut butter cup, coconut with chocolate sprinkles and a chocolate malt… all got 5 stars! Terrific, smiley service too! Best ice cream place around!

Undoubtedly some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. It’s homemade on the property and is always the perfect treat. Every flavor is great. I’ve been several times in the middle of a Connecticut winter and there are always people there, no matter what the temperature is. Don’t miss out on this amazing spot!

I’ve been going here for about 15 years. black raspberry, chocolate black raspberry, and peanut butter cup are my favorites! Recently became a vegan, and I was so happy to have several dairy free options! The chocolate sorbet was amazing :) thank you for having dairy free options!

Hello gourmets and fellow Diners! This place really doesn’t need much hootin and hollering about, I mean when you make the best ice cream around, what more can be said. They even make seasonal and special holiday FLAVORS like rum raisin around Christmas, blueberry during blueberry season(all fresh) and… well, you get the picture. This is a small family run place that has been transforming that great fresh stuff the contented cows gladly give up, just knowing THEIR cream will be transformed into a confection fit for a monarch! So friends, you gotta check out this place, and see for yourself. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed with this stop on your quest for perfection!

First time there, the ice cream was delicious! So many flavors to choose from, and they will let you sample them. Beware that the scoops are a good size… I got 2, coffee and coconut chip, and I couldn’t finish them; usually I can eat two no problem. I would definitely recommend this place.

To start, the place has character, as in throwback to the 50s style, roadside farmstand ice cream joint character. A nice balance to the increasingly gentrified Litchfield hill country. The flavor selection is excellent, and the ice cream is homemade, as you would expect, but this just does not match up to some of the other great Connecticut options, such as Rich Farms, Buttonwood Farms, or Collins Creamery. The ice cream has an ever so slightly icy/gritty texture that rubs my palate the wrong way, though my spousal unit actually prefers it that way. Too each his own. Arethusa Farms would be a better, albeit more expensive, option out this direction.

Great ice cream. Not bland flavor like many other ice cream places. Very fresh, homemade, and delicious! Was pleasantly surprised that they take credit cards.

Great ice cream. We collectively tried the ginger, coconut, mango sorbet, sweet cream, mud pie and maple walnut. All were awesome. Friendly service, fair prices. An unassuming gem.

Our favorite place in the state of CT to go for ice cream. My favorite is the Toasted Almond in a waffle cone. Absolutely delicious.

Absolutely delicious homemade ice cream!!! Nothing beats the taste of freshly made ice cream on a hot(or cold) day! *The nut flavors are separate from the non-nut ice cream for those with allergies.* This place looks like a dive inside with its multi-colored pastel hues in retro pink, yellow, green and blue paint. There are a handful of tables inside a and out with a decent number of chairs inside. The service has been great each time I have been there(a dozen, easily). Would highly recommend to everyone!

Fantastic home made ice cream. This place is a staple for our family in the summer months. Prices are a little high but it’s totally worth every penny. Not only is the ice cream great but the owner is a super nice guy. Wonderful family owned business.

My favorite ice cream shop :) I used to flock to Sweet Claude’s of Cheshire for their adult flavored ice cream but Peaches N Cream Kahlua Coffee and Amaretto Almond is unbeatable. Four generous double scoops = $ 20.

Great ice cream in dozens of flavors, cute interior done up in Martha-Stewart-on-steroid blues, obliging staff who will offer tiny samples to help make up your mind. Big scoops at bargain prices. But what really makes this place stand out is that they corral all their nut and peanut flavors in one case, so those who are allergic can more easily see what’s available to them. They even suggest you let them know about allergies, so that they can use a separate scoop for you. That’s the kind of care that customers notice and appreciate.

Fantastic homemade ice cream — in the top 5 for Northwest Connecticut(including Canton). Need I say more?
