RC Dominican Hair Salon &Nails

Zero stars! Worst customer service! Make that NO customer service! This place was horrible. The workers and owner are very unprofessional and rude. I found this place on Unilocal on a whim because my regular stylist was randomly unavailable until 1:30(i was there at 11:30) so instead of waiting i decided to try this place. I arrived around 12pm on a Wednesday. It was empty except the owner lady and a old lady who turned out to be a stylist. (Insert sarcasm) i walked in, they just stared at me. I just stared back. Couldn’t tell if they were workers or customers. Then the «owner» said hi. But mind you they stayed sprawled on the couch. I said hi, how much is the blowdry and flat iron? She asked was i relaxed or natural. I said natural. she said 40. Then told me to sign in. So i wrote my name and the service i wanted. Which was blowdry. Then the old lady said «come» (rude) so she washed my hair (she did ok, nothing special) after sitting under the dryer with conditioner for about 4 minutes, she rinsed me and started putting rollers in my hair, i said excuse me, i Asked for a blowdry. She said no you didn’t tell me that. I said yes i told the owner (they were sitting right next to each other on the couch!) and also WROTE IT ON THE SIGN IN SHEET!) she smacked her teeth and called the owner (who left 5 minutes after i got there) she didn’t answer so she left a message in spanish. Then started huffing and puffing loudly while roughly taking out the rollers and pins she started. So when she finished i said how much do i owe you for this? I’m going to go somewhere else. She called the owner and put her on speaker phone. We argued back and forth about me not saying blowdry but it was clearly on the paper. So she said i was to pay $ 20 or they would call the cops! So i tossed her the 20 and went to wait for my usual stylist. Who did a great job. I wish i had waited all along.

This salons near Stonecrest Mall so I went for the convenience of it being near my home. I was unsure at 1^st as they said they needed to see my hair 1^st to tell me a price. And I am new to the whole dominican hair salon craze, because in California where I am from there are none that I know of. So, I took a leap a faith stopped by to get a quote, the owner was at the front desk. Took my hair out the clip it was in and he said no problem $ 45.00 for wash, roller set, blow out and flat iron (in my head: wow inexpensive) and $ 5 for deep conditioning. I thought what a good price seeing how in California we pay $ 70-​$ 80 to get out her washed and flat ironed. So, I returned on Sunday morning, they open at 9am. I was the first customer. .no wait!!! The shampoo and deep conditioner smells fantastic. My hair looks healthy and bone straight! My new spot.
