This Is It! BBQ & Seafood

Aaron gave us AMAZING SERVICE! He was pleasant and made sure we received everything we ordered and all the condiments! Friendly and Smiling!

Just had another great meal at This Is It! BBQ & Seafood. This is my «go to» place every time I’m in town, which is about every other week. The food is great and the staff is friendly. Aaron, the restaurant manager, takes pride in his establishment and genuinely cares that each customer is delighted with their experience at This Is It! BBQ & Seafood. One of the things I really enjoy about the restaurant is that the food is prepared when ordered. As a result, it is hot and fresh. It is unfortunate that there is not a This Is It! BBQ & Seafood restaurant where I live on the west coast. I’m just glad they have one in Atlanta (Lithonia) that I can enjoy every other week.

The first time I came was for my birthday in August and they were fantastic! We had reservations at another place in Stonecrest that fell through. I called and inquired if they would be able to accommodate our party of 14 at the last minute and boy did they. They had the tables set and and all when we got there. He also offered to take our order over the phone. The food was delicious and the customer service was excellent! We have been back several times since then and it’s been great every time. Do yourself a favor and check them out. I promise you won’t be disappointed! Call Aaron and he’ll take care of you!

I just left this location and I can not begin to tell you how horrible it was. I ordered ribs and o could only eat one because the were so tough. The Mac and cheese had a weird burnt orange color. The served my husband cold and old French fries and plate full of Grease and catfish The cobbler had a very weird smell. The bill was 40 dollars and the food was disgusting. I have been to the camp creek location several times and after this I would have to think that this one is owned by other people. I can only pray I don’t get REALLY sick. Very annoyed.

Don’t go to This Is It hungry. You’ll receive a little bit of food at a lotta price. For $ 9 I got a qtr BBQ leg from what had to be a baby chicken, a side of coleslaw and a sweet tea. Yep, that was it. Well for me this is it for This Is It!

Food is good but WAY OVERPRICED! I see why they are able to open so many locations. Lol I have ordered the smoked wings and they are very good. The sauce is amazing. Sides are small on the to go plates. Very disappointed in amount of food for the price. If that doesn’t bother you, you will love it!

I had a taste for some soul food so i decided to try This Is It. BIG mistake! First of all, I ordered the quarter chicken dark and they were out after waiting ten minutes in the drive thru so i got white meat instead. Secondly, I didn’t check the food before I drove off… my bad for sure. I got home and to my surprise the breast was so small I was like damn. To make matters worst the wing was burnt to a crisp and the breast meat was as dry as old dog shit. Thirdly, when I called to complain, no one would answer the phone. This was the worst BBQ I have ever had! Do not waste your money! They should change their name to This Is Shit!

I love majority of the sides and the fried fish the most. The BBQ is not that great. It is just ok and nothing to brag about. The problem I have with the Stonecrest location is the service. Every time I order carry out, at least 20 mins ahead of time, I get there and my food is rarely ready. One time I ordered and gave them about 30 mins. I get there and they hadn’t even started cooking my order. I left!!! Also the last time I went through the drive thru, all I ordered was a single serving of potato salad. Even though it’s already made, I still waited at the window for 13 mins just for one side. That is ridiculous! I will not be going back. I’m DONE! #FRUSTRATED

Awesome restaurant came in 10 minutes to close got great food at a great price and great service !!!

This is it… kinda-​sorta, not really! My bf and I were not impressed at all, and was kinda let down actually! I’ve always wanted to go to This Is It for a while now and finally got around to it yesterday (5−25−15).
*Traveled all the way from L.A.(Lame Athens) to eat here.*
First of all, it’s quite expensive even for BBQ. I got the pulled pork plate w/​2 sides and my bf got the Rib Tips plate w/​2 sides and our meal was $ 26!!OMGG! I was craving BBQ yesterday and this did NOT quench my craving! However, my sides which were mac n cheese n collards were very good! My bf had mac n cheese n potatoe soufflé’ and he liked his as well. He said his rib tips were just ok… but mos. def. NOT enough… see pics. I usually don’t eat sweet potatoes, but I must say that the soufflé’ was «off the chain» good! It was very sweet which is a plus in my book!
Now the reason it gets a 3 star and not a 4 star from me is for 2 reasons:
1) Their health score isn’t exactly up to par: 84! C’mon This It It, ya’ll need to do better!
2) Our waitress needed a little more training. She needed to speak up (she talked too low) and she was very unprofessional w another guest (that could have been us).
Overall, I probably would visit again (when I’m in the area) just to see if their health score has improved.

I don’t know how but the Stonecrest location at This Is It has REALLY improved. The employees used to be joking around, the food took half an hour to get to you and the taste was off. The whole experience was so bad that I went to the Panola location which was must better. But I’ve tried again twice in 2015 and they’ve turned things around. Food is delicious and courteous staff now. It still takes a min, 10 – 12 usually but it’s much better now and worth the wait.

I first visited this restaurant in 2010. The food was great! I think I had the rib tip plate. Well, since I was in the area, I decided to visit again (4 years later). The food is just not good. Maybe I came on a bad day and got the wrong cook, but I don’t know what happened. The rib tips were not tender and seem like they may have been left over from the following day (I bought my food around noon for lunch). The sauce was inconsistent. It was sweet on one side of my plate and salty on the other side. I also had baked beans, which were too smoky. They only thing I really enjoyed was my mac-​n– cheese, cornbread, and lemonade. When I got home, I fed the left over rib tips to my dog. I will not return. I don’t know what has happened but they have definitely gone downhill.

Horrible bbq, good collards. Decent mac n cheese. Extremely over priced. It’s a shame we don’t have a decent bbq place in lithonia.

Had the grilled tilapia with cabbage and sweet potatoes, which was great, but I made the mistake of getting banana pudding. I feel like I wasted $ 4 on it.

I was in town for a few days and wanted to eat some Southern cooking. My host brought me to this establishment and we were both blown away. I definitely loved it! The food smelled so good as soon as we walked in. We opted to dine in rather than use the drive-​thru. I’ve never seen such a concept in New York City.
The prices were very affordable. I ordered ½ BBQ chicken with cornbread, sweet potato soufflé, and potato salad. The Georgia peach punch was amazing! I was so full and pleased beyond belief.
Great customer service from the cash register to the server who brought the food then cleared off our table. I was surprised, however, that the restaurant wasn’t more packed in the late afternoon.
It felt like Southern comfort in the restaurant and the mural on the back wall of the restaurant was great, because it was a historical timeline of the restaurant’s early beginnings. It just resonated family values and good food. If ever I’m in town, I’ll certainly be back for more.

This is not it– at all! Frustrated & mad as heck after going to the Stone Crest location after leaving the mall.
Problem #1– I forgot how over priced this food is??? WTH
Problem #2– my beef rib dinner of 3 rib bones with two sides ($ 15.99) SUCKED!!!
The ribs were 98% bone (and I’m not exaggerating), my Mac n Cheese & Black Eye peas had so much seasoning that pepper flakes dang near chocked me when I was trying to eat. Eventually gave up and decided that this mess had to go into the trash!
Problem #4– when I asked for catsup for my son’s French fries — they informed me that they ran out ???
Unfortunately I went through the drive through and was unable to return any of my food or complain to the management staff.
Solution — NEVER go back!!!

All there sides are to die for! Been here many times over the 10 yrs I’ve been living in ga. Love their BBQ chicken nd catfish. Love their food never disappoints.

This one place I’d never go back the staff is lazy and inept, I went in at 12:56 pm (see receipt in my photos) on a Wednesday 4 patrons was already seated and eating so it wasn’t all that busy. I ordered 4 pieces of fried chicken, a serving of Mac n cheese, and collared green for a total of $ 13.90. I wasn’t told how long my meal would be ready, but I sit and patiently waited for 20 mins thinking the number on the receipt would be called, well they didn’t so I went to counter to ask how much longer answer was another 10 mins which i couldn’t do. So ask for refund and they said no manager was there to do that. No wonder, because I observed employees smoking at the front door and coworker fraternizing and touching each other right there in the kitchen. So I end up with no food and they kept my $ 13.90.

Yummy! Southern style, tastes like homemade food. The food here is so good and the portions are pretty substantial. I can’t get enough of their sweet potatoes. The place has a sit down area but it’s set up like take out. Price is really good for what you get.

must have an uptown (half lemonade half ice tea). Few things i don’t like about this place. every thing is served buffet style. Its cool when its Mac and cheese, yams and collard green. but the chicken is to. I like my chicken right off the grill or directly out the fryer. Now dont get me wrong the food taste good. But am I wrong for wanting it fresh. Im just saying, i dont know how long it been out there and what kind of bugs done landed on my chicken.
… I dont mind tipping when i have a waiter, but one day i stop by after work to pick me up some dinner. So i select the food i want and go down to the register. swipe my card, when i go to sign the receipt girl goes and say ths line right here is where you go and leave the tip…
