Carbones is a great place with a very relaxed atmosphere. They have an extensive menu with excellent food, especially the filet mignon, but believe us all their food is wonderful. The wait staff is very attentive, courteous and very prompt. Try their place, you don’t know what your missing.

Terrible food, obviously microwaved. Advertised «crispy flounder» particularly bad, tough and no discernible flavor. Indifferent service. No water or bread provided. Never again.

Five star restaurant. I love seafood and my husband loves prime rib and they offered the best of both .
The service was fantastic, the food was so tasty and good it would melt in your mouth. All this and great a location and price makes this restaurant the best in town. With a wide variety on the menu, we can’t wait to go back and try them all. Great place for special occasions or a quite dinner for two. Bring your family and friends you will not be disappointed :)

The service and food is excellent. Had the prime rib. Was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend had the grouper stuffed with crab and said it was delicious. They have a great wine selection. Also a lot of tvs.

Last night I had the best meal since I moved to the Myrtle Beach area 6 years ago. The prime rib was excellent and so tender that you hardly needed a knife to cut it. The she crab soup was the best I’ve ever eaten. The price was moderate and the service was very good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who asked.

Found this gem while on vacation near Myrtle Beach. We wanted to avoid the tourist traps but stay nearby, and tried Carbone’s on a recommendation. Had drinks and an appetizer at the bar — great wine selection, beer was cold, and the scallop appetizer was a surprising and delicious riff on a standard seafood starter. Then we moved to a table on the formal side of the restaurant and my husband had the Rib-eye. It was cooked perfectly (very rare, by request) and came with two sides. I had the Fish and Chips and the generous portion was easily one of the best renditions of this dish I’ve tasted in a while. Prices were reasonable — something at every price point — and service was attentive (but not overly so). The lunch menu looked great too. We’ll be back to try it next time we’re in the area!

Family had lunch here yesterday. Very disappointed after reading the reviews. She-crab soup was tasty but almost cold. Had a fried flounder sandwich but had to eat it without the bread which was like a hard roll. Fish tasted frozen, not very good. My wife had a crab cake which was more filler than anything else. It was 12:30 when we went in and we were the only ones in the restaurant. By the time we left we were still the only customers in the place. Not going back, to many good options in the area.

Ate there Sunday evening June 15 with my wife and adult daughter. Only 3 groups of diners in the place so the service was excellent (a little strange in the beginning). Got to talking to the one of the family members who served us and found out they had been down on Little River harbor for 5 years as Fibbers and had lost the lease. So they restarted in April of this year as Carbone’s. We had a dozen oysters shooters and they were excellent. My wife had crab cakes and the were full of crab and a unique taste. Not typical flavor but she enjoyed them. I had the halibut and really enjoyed it. My daughter had the seafood platter of fried flounder, and broiled scallops and shrimp. All very good. One cool thing was the presentation of the food. Quite noticeable given the mass plated approach you find most places around here.

My husband and I have had dinner at Carbones three times and each time the food has been outstanding. We think the parmesan crusted haddock is the best. We now live here and Carbones is rapidly becoming our go-to place for dining out. Denise has been our server every time and she is a wonderful, attentive, and great person. I would encourage everyone to give Carbones a try.

I had one of the worst meals ever. The kitchen was very slow and the «fresh grouper» was not fresh at all but frozen and dry and tasteless. Very over priced. I will never go back.

Very nice restaurant. Friendly staff and excellent waitress. Attentive but not overly so. Would have given them 5 stars but my wife’s crab cake was just okay. On the other hand my fish and chips were outstanding. The serving size was large, the batter perfect, and the fish done to perfection. The bread prior to the meal and the deserts were outstanding as well. As locals we will definitely be putting this restaurant on our list of favorites and will return.
