The lady that poured for us was nice and friendly but didn’t seem to know much about wine, so I was surprised when I asked her how long she had been there and her responded, 11 months. I have been in the wine industry for four years and I have never seen anyone pour a Pinot Grigo after pouring a Chardonnay and when I asked her why she didn’t have an explanation. She also made the biggest mistake a wine sales person can do, she never asked for the sale. Oh and the wines were nothing special, I think they would benefit from pouring wines from other wineries, not just their own line. It was nice that the tasting was complimentary, so I did leave her a tip. One thing that she did very well was sell us on the resort. She did a great job upselling the property and the restaurant. She even had the concierge give us a tour. The next time we go to Mendocino we will definitely be staying there. After a bad experience at a B&B in downtown Mendocino the extra $ 100 a night it would cost to stay there is well worth the king tempurpedic bed, the sauna, the jazzuci and the on site spa, restuarant and wine bar.

My boyfriend and I came here after checking in on our night stay at Stevenswood. We loved the experience. The woman that served the wine was great. She was very nice, talkative and engaging. There was also another couple at the bar with us and we had a nice time. She gave us a story about most of the wines, and she poured us a lot! Also, at the end she let us pick our favorite and she poured us another half glass. We also did the olive oil tasting which was fabulous. We all guessed the flavors and she told us stories for each. They were delicious. We bought a bottle of Pinot and the extra-virgin olive oil. We really liked the experience at the wine bar!

Cozy place set in the back corner of their boutique inn located in Little River. While hubby was treated to five wine tastings, I was all over their olive oil tasting. I tried four different infused olive oils which included orange, lime, lemon and rosemary. Mind you they don’t infuse their olive oils the lazy way by putting bits of the item they’re infusing with in the bottle and leaving it. They made a point to tell me they infuse it the right way and you’re only going to see olive oil in the finished product. I decided to purchase their orange for salads and the rosemary for cooking. This should be very very interesting! I will be back!
