If u like a lonely boring restaurant this your place. The plates were dirty and the service was not all that good.

A very disappointing experience. While its worth noting that this Applebee’s looks like a brand new location that is located around the corner from a Walmart, the service & experience could’ve been so much better. First things first. Folks, if you are going to spend $$$ while on the road, first impressions matter. Maybe not to locals, but they do to me. Upon walking in, I see two employees + a local smoking on the sidewalk in front of the front door. Instead of yielding the space to myself, wife, mother-in-law, and nephew, they just stood there obliviously, puffing away. I had to say excuse me twice, only for one of them to move slightly to the side. Ohhhh kay, then. No big deal. I’ll just have my party walk around you in the street, getting second-hand smoke all over us. Way to show some courtesy on that one there, Applebee’s employees. Getting seated inside the restaurant wasn’t an issue, yet getting a server was. It took nearly 15 minutes for a server to finally arrive, and this is with 9 full tables in a restaurant not even 25% full. The host comes out and assists the servers, giving our table plus a couple of others to-go utensils, which of course, is plastic. Seriously? If I was getting my food to go, I would say so. We are sitting down for dinner while on the road this evening. I looked incredulously at other tables while they shared the same astonishment that I had: plastic silverware while dining in. Wow. The server finally came over. I admit, I didn’t have high expectations for her, yet she seemed to do well. She eventually corrected the silverware debacle by asking the host to wrap silverware, which ultimately took an act of Congress to do. She took our orders nearly 100% accurately, yet ultimately forgot to include a side order(cole slaw) that goes with the fish tenders & fries basket for my mother-in-law. I pointed this out,(to which she apologized), yet she never corrected. My meal of three chicken penne pasta was decent, yet the portion size was smaller than usually, and slightly cold. My wife’s dish was fine, and my nephew(who had a steak & broccoli) had a chewy steak and too-soft broccoli. One thing of observation is that some entrees are served within a tin plate, while others are not. Why, I don’t know. Another interesting thing of note is that Applebee’s has a 2 for $ 22 and a 2 for $ 25 deal here, not the 2 for $ 20 that I’ve seen at locations across the south and east coast. My mother-in-law wanted dessert, to which at this point, I was hoping that Applebee’s could at least save face for this entire debacle. She asked for something simple, such as a brownie without the iced cream, yet the server noted that she can’t get one without the other. Wow. Just unbelievable. I would have easily paid for the full price of both, even if you left one off. Aside from listening to the one of the off duty employees using loud profanity with the kitchen and acting nonchalant about it, I had to ask if this evening could get any worse. In spite of it all, the best part of my evening may have been when I received the check. I wanted to voice my displeasure in the experience, but I watched the server as she did her best with the other tables. I empathized with her, given that she was set up in a bad circumstance since it appeared that the restaurant was both short-staffed as well as having employees that just didn’t seem to care one way or the other. I usually leave tips in the area of 20−25% at restaurants, yet decided to leave 15%, since I could see that my server was at least giving an effort. I really can’t say that much about everyone else during this evening’s dinner. This Applebee’s can do a lot better.

Love this Applebee’s! They have one of the best sirloins I’ve ever tasted, and the wait staff is usually more than attentive. The bar is also a decent place to sit and waste an hour or two when I get off work early. The bartenders are always nice and aren’t skimpy on the liquor in a mixed drink.

Average Applebee’s. Waitress was new and struggled a bit but she was nice. Food was ok.

After our earlier visit and review in November 2011, we had the opportunity to eat at this Applebee’s again. We invited a friend and her adult daughter to dinner as our guests and she choose this restaurant. Our guests choose steaks and fries and were somewhat content. The only issue being late delivery of A-1 sauce which is served in a small crock on a bread plate. Being a Friday during Lent, my wife and I were somewhat shocked to see little thought to marketing to Catholics who make up 25% of U.S. population and 10% of Arkansas’ population. Applebee’s has no vegan fare and offered no fish on their 2 for $ 20 promotion. We went with fish and chips. I paid $ 2 extra for the AYCE option and slaw. I think they offer a blackened tilapia and one shrimp entrée as well. Our fish & chips were served on curved plastic trays where the fish slid to the right and the fries to the left and a large greasy no man’s land in between. My slaw was in the same small crock as if it were a precious commodity to be rationed. The few fries I tasted were fine, and the fish did taste OK. I asked for seconds on slaw and received another shot crock of slaw, and later another shot crock. Don’t know why one cannot receive a small bowl of slaw. Looking around the room we didn’t see much in the way of vegetables. Our guest had a spear of broccoli. Both my wife and I awoke in the night with heartburn from the greasy fish.

We ordered food«To Go», and overall, we were pretty pleased. My fried-chicken salad was amazing, and they included extra ranch just like I asked. My steak was delicious and cooked just like I ordered it. My french fries were a bit stale and really had no flavor whatsoever. My husband had the«Three-Cheese Penne Pasta» which he enjoyed, but it did not fill him up. He was displeased with the portion size. It was a bit expensive for all of the food, but the food was pretty good and we had it in a flash and that was all we were looking for. The woman we spoke to on the phone was very pleasant and friendly(even when we had her repeat the list of sides 2 – 3 times). Overall, I’d recommend for a «To-Go» order.

I’ve gone to this Applebees a few times and each time I was not impressed. Of course, it’s simply Applebees. With it being a fairly new location, however, I didn’t expect it to have roaches. After ordering drinks and receiving them, a roach crawled across the table. That destroy my appetite and any chances of revisiting.
