Breathe Salon

I am new to the Little Rock area so I did some research before getting my hair done. This salon was one of the most highly rated while being affordable so I decided to give it a try. I went for a perm but needed a cut because my hair was past my hips. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Maygie was my stylist. First off, she cut my hair too short and the layers that she put in were awful. I got the perm and at the last hour or so she took another client and was running back and forth between us. I found this a bit annoying but it happens. The major problem was after I went home. I put nothing in my hair and did not wash it for over 48 hours as instructed. Before I even washed my hair for the first time the curls started falling out in the front. Within less than a week you almost couldn’t tell that I had even gotten a perm. I called and trying to reschedule was a pain. I was eventually seen and she proceeded to tell me that I could not have the perm done again for at least 3 weeks because of the damage. She opted for a total refund which I accepted graciously. It took a couple more days to get the refund because it was not their typical policy. If not for their friendliness and the refund they would’ve gotten 1 star. As it stands now I will not be returning.

I have been researching hair salons in Little Rock for over three months. Reading reviews on each. I am happy to report I found the perfect hair stylists by doing so. Peter at this salon is amazing. He «listened» to what I thought I wanted the end result to look like then he executed. He is fabulous. I have spent most of my only day off on Saturday at other salons, not in Little Rock and the results were off. Peter did an amazing job in under two hours. I do not live here just work here one week a month. If you need a salon I would recommend this one. Every one of the staff were very friendly and professional. I typically will go twice before reviewing however this experience exceeded my expectations. Thank you Peter.

I moved to Little Rock in late spring — and you know how it is, you hate looking for a new salon. I decided to cast a not so wide net and start with salons that are close to home here in Hillcrest. I called Breathe, not in a panic, but was able to get an appointment in pretty short order with Amy Beth. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted professionally and Amy Beth asked some pertinent questions and we decided on a freshening up of my red hair color and a trim. Amy Beth mixed up the color and it was applied neatly and thoroughly. Then, I waited in a small, but pleasant processing room. After rinsing, my hair was trimmed, dried, and styled. It really looked fabulous. Amy Beth’s suggestion to go a little richer with my color was a good one and her trims have kept my hair looking fresh and healthy while trying to gain a few more inches of length. She’s taught me how to do a simple and fast up-​do and never pushes products, but always introduces them in a way I find irresistible. This was definitely my best post move, new hairdresser transition *ever*. Even my old hairdresser said my color looked great when I ran into her back home. I highly recommend Breathe Salon and specifically Amy Beth.
