Their sample dish with the different dips is pretty good, but the pita is too hard. The yogurt plate is my favorite and the only dish I get each time. I’ve tried others, but still come back to the yogurt plate.

The gyro meat is great, and there is always good service, We’ve had a coupon for a discount if your order is over $ 25, but we’ve never gone over $ 25 for the two of us. We tend to get the gyro platter and ask for extra taziki sauce.

Our young waiter was incredibly adorable and super nice, the hummus was served with warm pita bread and is to die for, the décor is casual but feels authentic Mediterranean, and everything is so inexpensive, especially for the quality. If you want authentic Mediterranean food or just good quality food that’s cheaper than fast food, you should definitely come here!

If you’re looking for a quick, delicious bite that’s a little off the radar– go to Layla’s! The staff is so nice, the food comes out fairly quick, and the food is divine. I have had the chicken sandwich with falafel, triple meat calzone, and a double crust pizza– all have been really stellar! Located in the corner of a not well known strip mall, Layla’s looks fairly unassuming and possibly even dive-ish. If that isn’t your scene, just close your eyes until your food comes, because you won’t care one bit after the first bite. Try the baba ganoush– it’s amazing.

Amazing hummus and baba ganoush, couldn’t get enough. Salad was plain. Our gyros meat was dry, but I’m guessing normally it’s delicious. Good help and very reasonable prices.

Thank you Unilocal for helping me find this gem. Stopped in for lunch on my own today. Gyro pizza was on point. I picked up another & a calzone to go to share with the family for later. The seating area is small so beware. I felt a little bad because I sat at a 4-seat table & I was eating by myself. I say a little bad because they had on some European football(soccer) & I was in the prime viewing position. Oh well, IIWII… I enjoyed my lunch :). There’s limited seating inside and I believe 2 seats outside by the entrance. Store is located in a pretty nondescript strip mall. If you’re in the area worth the trip. As a reference it’s a 7 min drive from the Baptist Health Hospital.

Awesome food! Highly recommend the lamb and the lentil soup. If you haven’t been please go — food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant reminds me of places I went in the Middle East.

I’ve never had a disappointing bite of food at Layla’s, and I’ve been coming here for years. Every single thing on their menu is fresh and amazingly flavorful. Their pizza and calzones are great, but you’re missing out if you don’t branch out. The chicken shawarma is awesome, but I tend to order the gyros plate. The portions are large, I usually just get an extra order of pita and take home enough for at least another full meal. Layla’s has the best hummus I’ve found anywhere. All of the other Greek/Mediterranean places around Little Rock seem to put copious amounts of cumin in their hummus, giving it a weird store-bought bean dip flavor. Not the case with Layla’s. Their hummus is light and tangy with garlicky and lemon notes and just the right amount of spice. Now that I think about it, they are really killing it with their entire dip/sauce game. The baba ganoush is awesome, their tazkiki sauce is perfect, too — cool, and cucumbery — with lemony notes of mint and dill… and their marinara sauce will put any other Italian eatery in the metro to shame. Listen, just go there. Eat all the things. You will not regret it.

Love Laylas! My 12 year old and I visit regularly. Usually we get the gyro sandwiches which are huge(except the last time we went, which was out of the ordinary). We always get the baba ganoush. I believe may be the best around(get extra pita). The goat plate, served on weekends, is awesome! The service is good and friendly. The prices are extremely reasonable. Great for a mom on a budget for sure!

Read the reviews and decided to try it for lunch. I ordered a gyro and small greek salad. When I got home, I found the gyro loaded with meat, which was good, but I had almost no tatziki sauce and very few onions, which really ruined it for me, all I could taste was the meat. As for the salad, it came with a tasteless dressing. Next time I’m in the mood for greek, I will be trying another place. On the flip side, the people were very nice, too bad the food wasn’t great, as I would have like to become a regular.

Went here for lunch today. Great atmosphere of welcoming people. I always get the Gyro salad. The gyro meat is delicious and the tatziki sauce was so fresh and zingy. Also had the humus that had a surprising kick to it. It came with hot pita bread. Overall it was a great dining experience as always.

Fresh cooked food, tender juicy chicken on my favorite chicken schwarma. LOTS of food for your money. The staff there are wonderful and helpful. This is by far one of my favorite go-to’s in LR. I will return again and again and again! When we order for lunch, they gladly divide tickets and sack everything separately with the order name on it. I am always pleased with this process. This is a great place!

The main reason this place didn’t get 4 stars is because my waitress was horrible. The only time I ever saw her was when I placed my order. Yet she had no problem visiting the other tables in the restaurant multiple times. I had to get another worker at this place to get what I needed, because she was just missing in action. Now for the food. I ordered a combination plate. Which consisted of the chicken and gyro meat, turmeric rice salad and pita bread. Really good food at a decent price. Although the food was good the horrible service by this waitress may prevent me from coming here again.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Little Rock since I was in high school. I visited recently for the first time in years on a Christmas visit back home, and I’m pleased to report that Layla’s is as delicious as ever. We were a large group – nine adults and a baby. There was a healthy after-church crowd, but we were seated just as soon as they could pull together a few tables for us(Layla’s is not particularly roomy; there are a few tables outside if you want fresh air). Our server was great – he always had a big smile on his face, was playful with the baby, and made sure my(thirsty, pregnant) wife had enough water. My Greek calzone with gyro meat was scrumptious – a good balance of crust, meat, and filling with a fresh and tangy tzatziki sauce on the side. My wife got a salad that came with a very generous serving of gyro meat heaped on top – she and our son in utero managed to polish it off, but it was big enough that some would have to take half of it to go(which my dad did with his Greek pizza). I didn’t try the chicken, but my siblings did and reported it to be delicious. I’ve never enjoyed Turkish coffee, but my friends who do say that Layla’s is excellent. I’m sure that’s true, but keep in mind if you order it that it is NOT like a typical cup of joe.

A fantastic little local place to get a great gyro or calzone. All together, our group had and shared the gyro plate, the triple meat calzone, gyro calzone, and the garden veggie pizza. Every dish was delicious! The favorite for us was by far the triple meat calzone. Best calzone I have ever had, hands down.

Pretty decent-priced Greek food! There are some places back home where the same plate I got here would be around $ 15. The store is a little run down on the inside and has about 10 tables. But don’t let that deter you from their food! On the menu, they have several items to choose from ranging from gyros to a plate with bread, rice, and meat. I went with a chicken plate which consisted of rice, veggies, a pita bread, and the white sauce to dip the bread in. The chicken was flavourful and reminded me of a curry taste. It was a little chewy but overall not bad. I like the rice a lot and thought it went well with the plate. My boyfriend had the gyro plate and wow, I was surprised how soft and good it was! I’m not a huge fan of the gyro meat ’cause it tends to be dry and bland but I really like it here. I’ll probably get that next time I come here! In the end, we both enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back.

TL;DR review: If you haven’t been to Layla’s and love mediteranean, check them out. Please forgive me for this review. I found it really difficult to write because I’ve been a regular at Layla’s for maybe four years? So it’s a little bit like writing a review of your best friend who was kind-of a jerk to you yesterday. You still love the guy, but you kinda want to give him a knock about the head. I eat at Layla’s about once a month. If I’d reviewed Layla’s during the first year I knew about them, the rating would have been five stars, but it seems like they’ve slipped just a little recently. This isn’t really evidence that they’ve slipped, but they’ve added two televisions in the dining room, and I feel like it subtracts from what ambiance they had before. Most recently I had the Lamb Chicken Kifta plate. It was good… but it wasn’t as good as it used to be. Seemed like this time the kifta was a bit dry, the salad had a funny taste, and the rice was super greasy. This is all only relative to the last time I had the same thing about six months ago at Layla’s; it was still quite tasty, and not bad at all. I think I may go back to the Gyros next time I visit. Hopefully then I can re-write this review and make it a 5-star review again. One thing remains completely solid though: the service. Never once did my family want for anything that wasn’t immediately handled. The staff was friendly and not only did they abide my 19 mo. old son, they played with him a little.

The 5 stars are based purely on the quality of the food. The restaurant was a little tight in that our 7 top felt a little like we were intruding on other guests table space. Parking was ample. The staff were friendly, fast, and available when needed. To the 5 stars: Every plate of food was hulking mass of pastas, meats, and rice. I asked the proprietor to recommend something and I had the Yogurt Plate based on his advice. It was a euphoric experience. It was gyro meat over rice smothered in a yogurt broth with a side of extra broth. I don’t like yogurt and I am not a fan of broth as a meal item but the yogurt broth was indescribably good. The pasta plate that a few of my friends had was again a mountain of food. Gyro meat over fettuccine like pasta covered in that divine yogurt broth. They, like myself, ate quite a bit more than the body thought capable. I had neither the will or physical ability to try the Baklava but the two that were able to carry I said that it was very good. If this yogurt broth exists at other Mediterranean restaurants I hate that I have overlooked it all these years. I will be on the lookout for it from now on. Well done!
