4 stars for the ambiance. Food alone would be only 3. This place is convenient to downtown, but not in downtown. It is a converted warehouse with a big parking lot. Brewing takes place through the wall of windows. The bar/eatery has a few long communal tables and some seats at the bar. There are clip boards on the tables. One for beer and one for eats. The beer was very good. For eat we tried the cheese dip and the pecans, and then the bratwurst and the pear and goat cheese arugula salad. The cheese dip was ok, but not being a southerner, I don’t really get cheese dip. The salad was excellent! The place has a great vibe and as we were there in the middle of the afternoon, it was a great place to hang on a hot afternoon and chat and take our time.

I have to give this place five stars — not just because the beer and food are tasty(they are) but because the guy on the plane next to me who told me to go here was so awesome.

Loved this out-of-the-way brewery! Lots of interesting food choices. Large screen TVs for sporting events. Great selection of on-site brews. Plenty of parking. Not far from other downtown venues. Highly recommend this place.

Nice open space with views of the brewery from the restaurant. We had the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches(a special) which were served on warm airy buns. The beers were well described in case you don’t know what you want — we only tried the Rockhound IPA, which was crisp and refreshing. Plenty of parking outside, easy access to the highway and a cool vibe made this a great spot to stop for a quick bite and good beer.

What a gem. I was in Little Rock for just two days and popped in here for lunch and a flight. I was immediately welcomed by Austin and a couple of bartenders. They helped me decide on both my meal and beers & gave me a long list of places I could visit while I was in town. My rueben sandwich was so good that I went back to the brewery the next day. Service was equally friendly and I enjoyed the Cuban sandwich. I would’ve come back for a third trip if I was staying in Little Rock a little longer!

Super cool ambiance, great beer selection, and one of the best pear salads ever! They offer tours of the brewery side too!

We went on a Friday night. Service was good and the food was too! I had the gumbo and it was spot on! Also had the Kielbasa sandwich. Don’t sleep on the Voodoo chips!

I’ve heard that Lost Forty’s food, particularly their brunch, is fantastic, and it may be, but I just won’t be back to check it out due to the beer. I joined a couple of friends here for beers over the Christmas holidays and despite ordering three different beers, not one of us had a beer that was properly carbonated. After mentioning this to a friend who had been here before, she said that every time she has been in she has encountered the same problem. In addition, the beer was much more expensive than the other breweries in town. It’s awesome to be able to deliver great food inside of a brewery, but at the end of the day… you’re still a brewery! Carbonate your beer better and maybe I’ll be back. Otherwise, there are plenty of other breweries in town.

Came here to eat after the drive to Little Rock. It was not to far from the hotel, but the area around it is pretty sparsely populated, so we drove here instead of walked. They have huge communal tables so everyone can eat together. You also can see into the brewery portion of the restaurant while you are eating. I got a smoked turkey sandwich and chips for lunch. It was pretty good. I am not a beer drinker but my husband did find the beer enjoyable. Next time I am in town, I will make it a point to stop by and try their brunch.

«I always appreciate a good brewery that serves good food.» It’s sad that at many breweries we’ve gone to the food has been sub par. Lost 40 changes that mindset and that is something to be appreciated. While their menu is small(on Sunday afternoon anyways, may be different throughout the week) they pack a punch of flavor into everything they prepare! We got three starters… the bread & butter plate, the chips & dip, and the hummus & crackers. Each one was absolutely delicious. The apple butter with the bread was incredible! The beers. Wow. They have a cowboy coffee stout that will change your life. It was so good I left with a 6 pack. My husband and I shared a flight and enjoyed each one however, the coffee stout won it by a long shot. Friendly service, cool rustic/industrial environment, and super laid back. Check it out!

Starving after spending all day at the Clinton Presidential Library, we came to Lost Forty for food. We ordered the cheese dip to start, which wasn’t all that great. It was clumpy and bland and the chips that came along weren’t my favorite. The only thing that made it great were the bacon bits. As for the sandwich, I ordered the Bologna with fried egg. It was pretty good, but nothing too exciting. It does come with voo doo chips, which are my favorite Side note: if you take a photo/selfie and show it to the waiter, you’ll get a free sticker

This is one of those places that’s put every ounce of their mind, body and soul into doing everything right. And it shows. Of course, beer is a personal taste, but these guys tend to favor making the extra-hoppy, west-coast style beers more than our other locals. It’s good, but several of the brews are not messing around with the chewing hops! They appeared on local beer scene suddenly, full-fledged and with a game plan, which is why you can find their beers all over town now, in everything from your favorite dive bar to your first(or second) choice grocery store. The setting is cool, they’re set up in an old warehouse, and the bar now is a big open space with long tables(feels a little bit like a mead hall out of Nordic legends, hollering patrons and all). There’s a wall of windows looking over at their fermentation setup, which is a nice touch. They do have several large TV’s if you’re there for the game, and they will steal some of your attention if you’re not there to watch. Their food is good, their beer is consistent, and their service is sincere as only hard-working people in a raucous crowd can be(that is, good, but buuuusy) Try the bread and butter appetizer — doesn’t sound like much, but it’s delicious, bigger than you’d think, and just the thing to go with a few beers

Love the environment and the community seating. I don’t drink beer, so I appreciate that Lost Forty is one of the only breweries that serves wine. ;). I also love the bacon cheese dip. They have a lot of TVs, which can be distracting unless you’re there to watch something.

Bless their hearts for being amazing at social networking. I’m so happy they keep everyone informed. I truly am. My husband and I stalk their feeds on a couple social networks and sometimes we run down there when they’re releasing something special. It’s a delight being loyal to Lost Forty. I also LOVE that they have communal seating. This is really good for Arkansas people to experience, so maybe they won’t freak out when they have to do it in a big city. The graphic design on everything is impeccable. Adorable. My only problem with Lost Forty is that the couple different sandwiches I’ve had here are on tough, thick toasty bread that requires a knife and fork to cut it and I can’t do that on a metal tray. My husband doesn’t have issues, but I am a lady with dainty wrists! Also, the chips that come with the cheese dip aren’t anything special. There are ENORMOUSTELEVISIONS if you are sensitive to that sort of thing. ENORMOUS.

A Big open tap room as you walk through the front entrance. Tall ceilings(which does make the place loud) with a few unobtrusive TV’s off to the side showing a baseball game. Big communal style seating with a bar towards the back. The bar area has the tap selection on a chalkboard with the open kitchen. Really inviting and well done atmosphere. Selection is about 10 taps. They had a Summer Saison, a few Bocks(one was barrel aged in Four Roses Bourbon barrels). Two summer seasonal’s, Wandering White Hop Ale, and Summer Saison. Along with The self titled Pale Ale and Bare Bones Pils(their year round offerings). Both of which I think are the best two beers made in the state of Arkansas. Some beers are a little similar, I would be hard pressed to tell if the Saison was a Saison. It seemed real similar to the Bare Bones Pils, which to say is very good but not what I was thinking for the style. It needed more of an actual Saison yeast character. Along with a DIPA, regular IPA and an Imperial Stout. There might have been a few more. You can buy six packs if they are available, and they do growler fills of most offerings. Food and service is great. If sitting at the bar, you can see the kitchen working, which is always tricky when the public can watch. Though they are on top of everything and food comes out before you know it. Bartenders are there to answer any questions, and you are never left with an empty glass. The Gulf Shrimp Gumbo was one of the best gumbos I have had. Big thick roux, very spicy, with lots of different flavors and textures. The house made bratwurst is on point as well. With home made mustard, pickles, and sauerkraut. The kraut was great, not to pungent, but with enough funk to satisfy, as well as being über fresh. I am amazed at the quality of the food here. Cause brewpub food can leave a lot to be desired, not the case at all here. Maybe not an all time favorite brewery, but certainly my favorite in Arkansas… and damn good in its own right. When they hit, it is spot on. As well as a great atmosphere, along with service and food that makes you want to come back for more. Big Orange and Lost Forty are my beer spots from now on when passing through Little Rock.

I love pretty much everything Yellow Rocket does and this was no exception. I had the fried bologna open-faced sandwich and Voodoo chips. All of it was excellent. The only weak points here were the actual beers, which are all way, WAY too hoppy and the fact that it’s ungodly loud in the dining area. I’d go back, but nowhere near regular dining hours.

So glad Arkansas has joined in with some quality craft beer. I’m giving them 4 stars right now until they get some more brews in the lineup(5 stars for being the best I’ve had in AR — okay, I know that isn’t saying much, but they truly make some good brews) I was fortunate enough to be in town on opening weekend after eating at nearby brewery related ZaZa pizza and after having one of their beers, I needed to try the tasting room. I tried a sampler flight of all 4 they offered during opening weekend. All were good quality. I’m eager to come back when they add some more including a red I liked the pale ale the best but the forest king stout was very good too. The Bare Bones has a good name and definitely drinkable and has a good fresh flavor(for a Pilsner). The RockHound is a little too high in ABV for my taste but it was tasty. I can’t wait till they can and ship to other locations. Oh, and cool that they donate some funds to saving the Lost Forty forest area.
