Hands down better than Charlie Browns for sandwiches. Service is old school top drawer. They know their meats. Don’t think bc the sign is small, it is. This place rocks the meat market scene in all of LA, it small old school style makes it all the better. You are never a number standing around waiting.

While taking a shortcut between Sects Santa Monica and Utah, I accidentally found this place. I have been shopping here now about every two to three months. Load up the cooler with the goods. As a Hungarian born and raised American, I do recognize and appreciate authentic Hungarian goods. This is it. Their locally made pogacsa is to die for. Excellent selection of meats at a very reasonable price. I’ll keep coming back. I have to try their homemade stuffed cabbage. Mmm…

I’d been looking for somewhere to buy good kolbasz for a while and finally found this place! Awesome lineup of smoked meats and super friendly service — definitely worth the trip out to Littlerock.

I love this place, and my sweetheart loves them even more, which means I keep them on speed dial and they never disappoint. I have to admit, too, that the smoked turkey they have is the bomb. More than anything, the service is what keeps you hooked on them.

Most definitely a hidden gem. When I first walked in I was a little skeptical of the place. We were the only customers there and it was pretty dead. But the ladies that helped us were very friendly and they also offered samples of different meats. I tried the hot Italian sausage sandwich on wheat bread and I was not one bit disappointed. The Hungarian sausage sandwich was also amazing. Everyone must try!

The best sausages in LA!!! We went for the liver sausage but all the others that are made at this facility don’t disappoint. Definitely we will order in the future since is not worth the drive. Not much to see or do but Devil’s bowl hike deserves a try. A hike and a stop for sausages not bad:))) The ladies there are very nice, super helpful and let us try everything. No pressure to buy if you taste the whole store:)))) Not the best interior design but definitely some little decorations that bring a smile or great home childhood memories:))

This place just blew me away! Great food, very friendly locals and the ladies that work there too couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful with a menu that we weren’t used to. Nice to try something DIFFERENT for a change! What a pleasant surprise this place turned out to be!

Finally stopped here on the way home after driving by for years. I ordered 3 sandwiches, the summer sausage, polish sausage, and pastrami. They were all really tasty. However for almost $ 8 a sandwich I expected a little more. The lady behind the counter was polite and helped us make our selection. The place itself is small but there is an outside patio area to eat as well. They also have a selection of meats and cheeses, some of which I’ve never heard of. Overall, I just expected a little more for my money. Even though I’m not completely sold on this place I’m willing to give it another shot.

Awesome and very random gem of a place! They make 26 different sausages on site. We had the 10x hot Italian and fresh polish sandwiches on white rolls with everything. DELICIOUS! 10x was nice and spicy. These sausages were raw so it takes 15min to cook and was very worth the wait. Note, they form/cook the fresh sausage into more of a patty. The ladies behind the counter were so helpful and friendly and gave generous samples. Yummy smoked kolbasz! Their paprika/garlic bacon is more like a ham with the skin on with a wonderful fresh, natural, porky flavor! We will definitely be back to try more of their wonderful sausages!

As my wife and I were driving back from Palmdale to Menifee the back way on Highway 138, we saw a sign on the side of the road that made me think only once about stopping. Blink and you’ll miss this delightful little store with all home-made sausages. We got the boy-scout sausage and polish sausage, which we added to a bean soup when we got home. We saved some for snacking on later and it was tasty. We also tried frying and it enhances the flavor a bit when crisped up. We also bought some ham shank, which was flavorful enough that we didn’t have to add much seasoning to the bean soup. Now I regret not picking up a sandwich. I dunnno when I’ll be able to stop by again, but now I know it’s there and I’ll likely make a road trip on the moto specifically to get some.

I didn’t know that once something is smoked it’s considered cooked. I guess I really never thought about it. We came in for sandwiches after a day of exploring Devils Punchbowl and were greeted by two sweet ladies. The only sandwiches that were available to order were the smoked sausages. It ended up not being such a bad thing, as how often do you dine on homemade smoked sausages for lunch? They were hearty sausages and the gals gave us samples of double smoked bacon which I think was my favorite part of the visit. I took some home and fried it up and found that is wasn’t as greasy as regular bacon and it cooked exceptionally well. I kick myself for not buying more of that good stuff. I also purchased some pierogies to go. They were tiny and at a little over a dollar a peirogi they weren’t worth the $$. Stick with the smoked meats and sausages. They are a delight.

It’s been a while, but this place is the real deal. Almost like stepping back in a time machine. These people KNOW sandwiches. You are in very good hands. And if you like some of the funkier, rarer stuff like liverwurst(yum) and all the yumminess of the sausage world(think Germanic) then you may be in paradise. It’s a little unimposing building just before you go into the main street for the town of Littlerock so don’t miss it. Charlie Browns down the street serves food and is kitschier, but I would go to this place if you want a quieter(and, frankly, cleaner) place to have a world-class sandwich.

Definitely a diamond in the rough. They have tons of authentic Hungarian delights for sale on their racks. Their deli looks pretty sweet too. But what will really keep me coming back is the sausage. OH lordy! They make tons of sausage in house. The French apple sausage is to die for. I also purchased the knockwurst, which was fantastic as well, but they don’t make it there. I also purchased the basil and feta sausage, which I haven’t tasted yet, but it’s said to be one of their best sellers. Being that I am Italian in addition to Hungarian, I love salami. They have a type of salami called gypsy salami. Holy cow. It is so good. It tastes a lot like genoa salami, but its got red pepper in it. WOW. Its really good with the hot German mustard they sell there. Ill have to come back for a deli sandwich.

I was driving home to San Diego from Lancaster when I pulled into this place about 2 p.m. I hadn’t eaten all day and was starving. The sign on the road said its a deli and I was in the mood for a good sandwich. The whole Hungarian thing intrigued me. Honestly, I was disappointed in the deli menu. I was hoping for something like an Italian sub, but with a Hungarian twist or something. A Hungarian torpedo! You know, like Hungarian ham, salami, sausage, provolone cheese. Nope, nothing like that. I wanted to walk out, but there was no one else in there besides myself and the nice, Hungarian lady who was waiting patiently for me to choose something while I stared at the menu for what seemed to be like 20 minutes. I got some potato salad which was good, and a link of the spicy kolbasz, also good.

I have driven by countless times but this time I made a point of stopping for lunch. It’s an unassuming structure set back from the highway but there’s a big sign out front to help you find it. This is a deli /restaurant so you can sit down for a meal or order from their vast array of sausages and meats in the display to take home. There is seating inside for about 12 and about 15 or so on the outside patio. I ordered the Smoked Summer Sausage Sandwich, everything tasted fresh and flavorful including the wheat roll it was served on(you can also choose white or rye). There is a nice selection of Kruegermann pickled items on the shelves on the north wall of the dining area along with other foodstuffs. When I had finished the delicious sandwich and went to the counter to pay I noticed cookies for sale, they had chocolate chip and they looked home made, I couldn’t resist picking up a bag of 3 to bring home with me. The cookies tasted as good as moms! I’ll be back and I’m bringing friends!
