Greenwood Pediatrics

We have been pleasantly shocked after switching practices. They call you back right away, get you in swiftly in an emergency, and are very courteous and organized in reception. The doctor (Kelly Newgent) is very thorough, kind, and refers to the medical history in detail. She never seems to be in a hurry but has also never made us wait a long time. Great experience with nurse advice and follow up too.

We have seen Dr. Harrington for approx 16 years and I can honestly say that he is by far the absolutely best physician that I have ever dealt with. His office is effecient and professional and his PA’s have always been great!

I am shocked the other reviews are not higher. We have had nothing but amazing experiences with them.
Dr. Kelly Newgent has been amazing with both my 7 and 5 year old boys. She was on maternity leave and the other doctors and nurses did a great job filling in for her.
We moved from LA in June and my kids have been for their «well visits» as well as multiple times this year for «sick visits». Each time they fit us in during the AM. I have always been in and out in under an hour (closer to ½ hour). Totally efficient!!!
Dr. Newgent and the nurse team have always called me back with questions asap and during off hours.
The front desk has been good with me. One note, all files are electronic and I brought in a stack of medical records to transfer. The threw them out once they downloaded instead of giving them back to me. They offered to give them to me electronically if I needed to change providers (due to insurance company change).
For 2015, I specifically sought out a new insurance plan that included Dr. Kelly Newgent and Greenwood Pediatrics as an in-​network provider.

Pros: Good doctors that were great with the kids, nice large office.
Cons: Horrible front desk staff, long waits, scheduling nightmares.
Overall:
We took our 3 kids here until we got sick of the crappy front desk staff and service. We were ignored multiple times upon arriving because they were too busy gossiping it up. We even had one of them ask us why we were in their lobby AFTER checking in. More than once they changed our appointment times without notifying us.
Would not recommend taking your little one’s here.

We see Dr Jim as we have preemie twins. He and the rest of the medical staff we have encountered there are world class. They take our kids seriously as they are a bit more challenging than the average newborn. My only complaint is that the clerical staff (receptionists, etc) are not as well versed and it is tough to get an appointment. Their customer service leaves a bit to be desired. But– every nurse and doctor we’ve dealt with at Greenwood has been outstanding.
