Wow!!! Just moved from Denver to the burbs and was afraid I’d lose some of the food quality. So stoked to have this as a neighborhood sushi spot. It’s the 2nd best sushi in Colorado in my opinion. Only behind Sushi Den, but at about ½ the price. The octopus appetizer was amazing. The Spider Roll was great. We sampled one of their specials, which was melt in your mouth sushi… everything really was fantastic. Place was clean… good service and the chefs sent out some bonus things to try. I’ll be back… A LOT!

Happen to notice the sushi sign on the way home from work one day. I have driven this way for years and never noticed the sign. Decided to try it tonight and started with the miso soup and the hot and sour soup which were both delicious. Then on to sushi rolls: we had the Green Roll Spicy tuna roll, Spicy 2 in 1 roll and Toro sashimi. We are participating in the whole life challenge and are not able to eat white rice or soy sauce as well as tempura. They were extremely accommodating giving us tamari in place of soy sauce and brown rice instead of white rice for an up charge. They substituted some ingredients for us as well with no up charge. The sale was good and the service was excellent. The Décor is very nice. We will definitely go back.

I love sushi and live kind of close to this place so I was excited when I saw all the reviews. I was a bit disappointed only because my expectations where so high. First, this place is not close to sushi den and is only a few bucks cheaper. While they did a good job remodeling that hole in the wall its still not near as fun/cool as many other sushi restaurants in town. The service was slow and not very good. Id put the sushi quality in the same category as the nearby Fontana and Mr Sushi. Not bad at all, but certainly not worthy of 5 star reviews and the raving going on in Unilocal for this place. For about the same money, I will continue to make the extra 15 min drive to Sushi Den. Based on service and a the fact its a few more bucks than Fontana and Mr Sushi Ill likely not go back very often.

Followed the good reviews and wasn’t disappointed! Wonderful fresh sushi, friendly, kind staff and great environment! We got special rolls recommended by the chef and couldn’t choose a favorite they were all so good! Chefs Simon and Andrew are wonderful people to talk to– sit at the sushi bar to have the pleasure of chatting with them! We even got a special dessert and tempura piece the try. Would highly recommend!

This is one of the best sushi/Asian cuisine restaurants I’ve been to! Service is phenomenal and all the staff were very kind, efficient, and made the experience a great one. The food itself was beyond delicious!!! We received free wontons while waiting for our food to be made, and I thought that was quite sweet of them to do. The Beef Yaki Udon was amazing! As were the various sushi rolls we ordered. I will definitely be coming back many times

Passed through the area for a road trip and saw this was the best rated restaurant so we had to try! We went for dinner on New Year’s Day so it was not crowded at all. All the servers were very friendly and nice. The décor is neat and the food was delicious! We only ordered one dish with raw fish and it was amazing, so I’d recommend to try that. The shrimp tempura roll and yaki udon were good but didn’t live up to the whole hype of the restaurant. I’d say go for all the raw or fancier rolls!

Wednesday December 2nd2015 I went for Lunch with my friend. We are the only patrons at that time since they just opened their doors. It was about 11:10hrs ish. The one thing that catches our eyes are the BUDDHA that is the Largest item we have seen in a Sushi Restaurant on Colorado Soil. The Décor is modern. Even our Booth seats are covered with Chinese/Japanese writings what nots… From their extensive Menu, I ordered these following items : * Regular Baby Octopus($ 7.95) * Snow Crab($ 5.95) * Amaebi aka Sweet Raw Shrimp($ 5.95) * Unagi($ 4.45) * Wasabi Tobiko($ 3.95) * Tamago($ 3.50) * Kaibashira aka Scallop($ 4.50) * Spicy Scallop($ 4.75) * Tai aka Red Snapper($ 3.95) * Black Tobiko aka Black Caviar($ 3.95) * Squid($ 3.95) * Octopus($ 3.95) * Surf Clam($ 3.95) If I am NOT mistaken, my friend ordered these for her Lunch : * Drunken Noodle with Beef option($ 9.95). Since its Lunch, her Lunch Combo also include an Egg Roll, a Soup and Salad. My friend also ordered some Roll. If I am NOT mistaken, it was the Spiderman Roll($ 12.95). This Roll comes with Soft Shell Crab, Spicy Tuna, Mango, Avocado, Cucumber wrapped with Soy Paper and drizzled with Eel Sauce. The Soft Shell Crab is FRIED. My friend like her Lunch, though she wish, her order of Drunken Noodle could have been more Spicier for her taste bud. She also liked her order of Spiderman Roll. As long as my friend is happy, I am happy too. When I get the chance to eat one of the Spiderman Rolls, personally it was a tact too sweet maybe due to the Eel Sauce and the Mango that they put in the Roll. Overall the presentation of the Roll is pretty to look at. The Highlights of my Lunch was the order of Regular Baby Octopus. NOT many establishment on Colorado Soil offer those Baby Octopus. I wish I could have many more of those Baby Octopus. My friend like it too, when she eats it. In terms of the service its stellar with 5 stars. Sushi/Nigiri was presentable and there are 2 items that they made slightly wrong for my personal taste bud. The Amaebi Shrimp Heads were fried with Batter which was slightly too thick in texture for my liking. Then for the Squid Nigiri, inside it, they put some Bitter Leaf I think it was Shiso Leaf that I don’t fancy. During our Lunch, and the conversation we shared with our lovely staff, she brought out a Complimentary Dessert of Mochi Ice Cream. She said since it was my Birthday, the Kitchen staff prepared those for me. After our Lunch, I spoke to the Sushi Chef and the kitchen staff. They are willing to make to order what I like, or do not like the next time I come here to JP Nori. All in all it was a Successful Birthday Lunch and we don’t mind returning when needed. Thank you JP Nori staffs. See you soon. A local neighborhood gem! I have had sooooo many bad sushi experiences at «highly rated» suburban joints that I am skeptical about trying anything new. But I was feeling brave one night and gave it a try. Have been back a couple times since, to see if everything would be consistent. It was! The music is well chosen and not too loud – sometimes EDM, sometimes current pop mixed with 60s pop. The ambiance and build-out are perfect for the suburbs. The service is team-style and friendly. The patrons run the gamut: Japanese couples, single white male hipsters sitting at the sushi bar, middle-aged suburbanites, and 20-something African American girls. So that leaves the food: super fresh, some things you won’t get at every other sushi restaurant, and satisfying. We’ve tried many rolls and salads. The chef always sends something«extra»: a little salad, or dessert. The only misses so far are the soups, which are uninspiring and not hot enough, and the mai tai cocktail, which was mostly juice and too sweet.(The house hot sake is perfectly balanced, though.) Give this place a try!

So I have to say, when I learned that a new sushi place had popped up within two minutes of my house I was beyond thrilled. When I saw that it was doing really well in the review department I thought«Even Better!!!» And when Ty and I finally made it in I was pretty darn happy with what we were served. Before I go on however, I must issue a disclaimer: The server reminded us that the lunch special of three rolls(limited selection) for 12.00 with soup and salad was still going on. I’m not sure if the rolls with this special and both my husband and I felt that they seemed a bit small. Still for three rolls plus soup and salad, I didn’t feel cheated. Alright, moving on. We ordered a bunch of sashimi and the portions were generous and prices where fair. Presentation with an orchid flour: beautiful. We order the Spicy 2 in 1 and liked it although I’m A heat freak and wished it could have been a little spicier. Other heat freaks will understand the crazy looks you get when you declare this at a table full of wim– I mean people with a more delicate palate. Service: prompt and attentive without beating you over the head. Oh! And I guess it was really cold in there because of an AC issues. I thought it was fine and I was in short sleeves. They gave us tea on the house by was of apology. I thought it was really sweet of them. Our server was funny and teased us good-naturedly about how much we ordered and finished. Is it bad that a 5’4120lbs girl can put away almost as much as her 6’2190lbs husband? Please say no. Décor: Gorgeous! The little falling lights were a nice touch. The bar is pretty and I think it would be nice to sit there for lunch. Sushi: some good, some great here. Again, not sure if that had to do with ordering off the lunch menu. I want to go back and order for dinner and see what’s up. All in all, I liked it enough to become a regular, they’re close to me and they deliver. That deserves four stars from me.

This new little place is sure to become a neighborhood favorite. The talkative sushi chefs will not leave you bored sitting at their bar. They may even try to lure you into buying the last two See urchins. Looking at the menu you’ll be pleasantly surprised that there’s not a roll over $ 13 and some of the staple rolls like a philly or rainbow roll are about $ 1 less than most places. Take one of their recommendations. Our guy made a roll that he invented with seared tuna over a blow torch. That’s right people — see the photos. It was like watching an artist put together his final piece for a show. Layer upon layer he continued to add décor to the roll until it was go all ready to consume. I wanted to invent a word for the flavor explosion in my mouth. I didn’t want it to stop. Flavor explosion, keep going keep going. Another bite — WHAAAABAAAAMM. It was something like that. A symphony meets dynamite. My wife is smacking her lips at this point because her belly is soooo happy and she loves me sooooo much because I take her to sushi for our date night. Moving on to some other rolls they recommended and concluding with a treat they delivered spread out like a piece of art on a plate — mochi. I LOVE mochi. Ironically it took 2 sushi chefs and 1 host to explain what it was before we decided to have them bring it out. «It’s like sushi rice ice cream.» «Yeah, like rice paper and mango ice cream.» I was expecting a piece of nigiri with ice cream being the top but it’s mochi boys. «MO-Chee.» Mochi me next time my new friends. I will be coming back.

Definitely a hidden gem like the menu says. Very clean and friendly staff. Affordable and very good food. I had a 15% off coupn and lunch was only 31.00 for 4 sushi rolls and an entrée. The jalapeño roll was awesome. Got my to go menu and will be ordering take out very soon!

Don’t be fooled by the unattractive strip mall in which this is located! The interior is nicely appointed; the service is excellent; and the sushi is super-fresh and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the marinated octopus(not the fried version) appetizer, and the Spiderman roll was incredible and my favorite of the evening. Their sushi is slightly less expensive than most places and as just as yummy as I’ve had at upscale places in town. Dress is casual. If you like excellent sushi without the crowds, get to this hidden gem before it’s really discovered.

Great little sushi spot. FOOD — the fish used in the sushi was very Good and the rolls were flavorful and a bit different(green roll = very tasty) than your average strip mall sushi joint. We only had the Gyoza as well — it was deep fried not pan fried so a point off there. They also gave us sample of a tuna salad(excellent) and sweet sour chicken(did not enjoy) SERVICE — overall the service was great — friendly and attentive. AMBIENCE — seeing that this place is in a kinda shady strip mall(see Toad Tavern) my expectations were very low but surprisingly it is very nice inside and comfortable. And Thumbs up the biggest Buddha I have ever seen in a sushi joint ! Return visit YES. Next time we will bring the kid and try some of the non-sushi menu items. But this is definitely a great add to the neighborhood !

Amazing! I can’t believe how awesome this place is. On the outside the building looks like your run of the mill strip center but wait until you get inside! It’s beautifully decorated and the staff are dressed sharp. Everyone was very attentive to our needs and even brought us some egg rolls on the house. We ordered sushi, orange chicken and general tso chicken. I can’t decide which is my favorite.

Friendly & excellent service plus totally delish food! Loved the calamari app and kung pao shrimp lunch was definitely yummy. Lots of fresh fish too~ Portions are pretty big and prices are very reasonable. Love love the décor & atmosphere… awesome ginormous buddha statue towards the back wall! Fyi~ they do close during 2:30−4pm for break time. My friends & I were trying to hurry since we came in at 2pm but the server was so accomodating and didn’t rush us to leave. Food was great but service definitely puts them over the top.
