5 stars like you wouldn’t believe. Oh. Em. Gee. This food is the bomb diddly dot com and the staff is the absolute best. The lasagna is not to be missed, but also everything else on this menu is just like«an herbal essences commercial» it will leave you screaming yes. From the appetizer menu, please get the spinach artichoke dip, if you have more than 1 person also get the caprese bruschetta. You will be so pleased with you decisions. Anything you get after that from the menu will be so amaze balls you’ll plan to return again and again. Lastly, Erica was my server and she was such a gem. When you come, you’ll be lucky to have her but won’t be disappointed with anyone else because OMGTHISFOOD!!! I’m full and already drooling just thinking about it.

Romano’s Restaurant is a fantastic, simple Italian restaurant in Littleton, Colorado. It is located on Windermere and Littleton Blvd. Their hours are 11 – 9 on most days and on Sundays they are open from noon to 9 pm. They have a select variety of foods, such as: pasta, salad, antipasti, and more! If for some reason you cannot eat gluten and you like pasta, Romano’s can make you gluten-free pasta. They serve many alcoholic beverages such wine and beer. In addition to getting an alcoholic beverage, you can get fountain drinks such as soda, lemonade, and tea. Another good thing about this restaurant is their catering system. The minimum amount of people you can cater to is 20 and the cost is $ 1 per person. There are two options for ordering through this system: the simple menu and the Tuscan menu. The Simple menu has very basic pastas like pasta with red sauce. The Tuscan menu has fancier types of pasta like fettuccine or lasagna. If I could rate this restaurant, I would give it 5 stars due to its excellent service.

Craving Italian food so we turn to Unilocal.Romano’s 4 stars, hmm, let’s try it. Pretty busy on a Friday night and it looks like a small dining room. Waitress calls our name and leads us through the kitchen to another dining room(woo hoo, I thought they were going to seat us in the kitchen). Check in to Unilocal!Get free ½ wine carafe. The waitress gives us more like a full carafe! Score! We order chicken parmigiana and spaghetti with clam sauce both with home style spaghetti. The home style spaghetti was interesting and good, it reminded me of udon noodles, which makes me think I must have never had real home made noodles before? Or other places have lied about noodles being home made. Both were really good and would recommend this place — yes four stars! Thanks Unilocal for finding another great place!

I grew up going to Romano’s and it has always been great, authentic Italian food. My wife and I had moved to Parker and I finally brought my kids to experience Romano’s tonight and had a great time seeing them enjoying the food I grew up on. The boys and I had pizza and the wife had spaghetti and it was great. Thanks Romano’s for a special night.

It’s definitely easy to see why Romano’s has been around for so many years. We went in early on a Sunday evening and the dining area was totally full. We didn’t have to wait long to be seated, and our server was attentive and really friendly the whole time. Some negatives were the very underwhelming complimentary bread basket. Cold, not very fresh feeling bread, wasn’t exactly what I was expecting at an Italian place. Also, the floor was really dirty(as some other Unilocalers have mentioned), which can be an appetite killer. The interior could definitely use some updating, but there’s some nostalgia to it. As for the positives, if you check in on Unilocal you can get either a free ½ carafe of wine or garlic bread(Score)! And I have to say the garlic bread is way better than the free bread basket. The portions are huge, which I love, and the food was pretty decent. Nothing fancy, just classic favorites like chicken parm and lots of cheesy pasta dishes. The soup and salad options that come with the entrees weren’t that great, but it definitely makes Romano’s a good value. All in all, it’s a solid choice if you are looking for some Italian comfort food in Littleton.

If you are looking for great homestyle Italian food with the sweetest service, look no further. The Interior is a little dated, but clean. Definitely worth the wait to get in.

My mom and I came here on a Saturday night at 8pm. Upon entering we got seated quickly which was great. The dining area was almost full but we got one of the last three tables in the restaurant. The waitress was not very friendly and made no effort in creating any rapport with us. Upon sitting down the waitress brought us our drinks and the bread basket. The bread was soft however it was just three pieces of an Italian loaf, served with butter packets underneath. It would have been much better if it were warm and accompanied with an oil plate as it was bland in flavor. :( We ordered the spinach artichoke dip which was DELICIOUS. The bread it is served with is amazing. With our meals we had the Italian vegetable soup, it was perfect portion and probably the best soup I’ve ever had. We ordered the baked cheese ravioli with meatballs which was perfectly cheesy and the meatballs were moist and tasty. We also ordered the shrimp Alfredo. The noodles were delicious and the Alfredo sauce was so rich and perfectly seasoned. Honestly the meals were delicious however the service makes my return to the restaurant questionable. When I think of a mom and pop Italian restaurant I want a warm and welcoming restaurant,(I’m Italian and I know how important it is to create a friendly relationships with others) if this was my family’s restaurant I would be disappointed to know that my guests left feeling like they were a bother to the servers.

This place has been around on Windemere Street in Littleton since 1967. I’d say that’s a pretty huge accomplishment. We went there for a family meal on a Wednesday evening. On Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00, they have a roving magician working the tables. I though he was fun and, having dabbled in magic myself some time ago, pretty skilled. My wife appreciated the playing card that she got as a souvenir. But, a restaurant isn’t all about magic and being around a long time. It’s about atmosphere, service, and food. The atmosphere at Romano’s is not bad, but the age of the restaurant shows in some of the décor. I’m not saying it’s run-down. I’d call it, «classic.» Service was friendly and efficient. My wife and I arrived about ½ hour before our dining companions, and the server didn’t seem the least bit off put that we took up her table for twice the normal amount of time. I can tell that this place has quite a few regulars, and there’s a family-oriented atmosphere. We each ordered a different entrée. Mom had the fettuccine alfredo which was delightfully creamy and rich, just like you’d expect an alfredo to be. My wife had the spaghetti and meat sauce. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the chicken marsala. I had the homestyle pasta with it which I assume is made in-house. The flavor was good, but I would have preferred a whole chicken breast instead of cut-up strips, and I thought the pasta was cooked a little more thoroughly than I usually like. Overall, we had a delightful dinner at Romano’s. We had four entrees, three desserts, an appetizer, a glass of wine, and one soda for around $ 90 before the tip. There are less expensive items on the menu, but your average pasta entrée is between $ 11 and $ 15. Portions are generous, just as you’d expect at any Italian restaurant. I can recommend Romano’s for a nice, casual Italian meal with the family. It’s the kind of place that you can enjoy whether you’re 9, 90, or anywhere in between.

A nice neighborhood restaurant that’s seen better days. Prices are appropriate for the food and service quality, which are just average. I had the soup & salad. The soup was an ‘Italian’ vegetable with a house salad. Neither was very good. We might return, but not soon and not as a first choice.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt it necessary after my experience. I travel frequently for business and make it a point to try a highly recommended Italian restaurant when I visit a city. This one had great reviews and the pictures looked promising from other Unilocal users. I decided to give it a go. Upon arrival, the staff was pleasant but when I walked in there were several employees gathered around the entrance. I walked in and wasn’t sure who to talk to and it was a little awkward. I let them know that I would like to dine in and was take to my table and thought, «this looks promising, reminds me of smaller, family style, Italian places I’ve been to before». Usually they have decent food and the reviews were very positive. It took some time for the waitress to arrive at my table and when she did, she was very pleasant. I chose the chicken parmigiana(one of my favorite dishes) and the cream of chicken soup. The basket of bread and breadsticks that was brought out was very underwhelming. The bread was spongy and almost stale, cold to the touch. Normally you have slices of bread and butter, they are usually fresh baked or warm. This was neither, it was similar to a loaf of bread you could buy at a store. The cream of chicken soup was very good. The best part of my meal in all honesty. When the chicken parm came out, I was excited. I cut in to the chicken and took a bite from the corner with little sauce on it, the breading was bland, it almost tasted like a McDonald’s chicken nugget, with real chicken inside, so that’s a plus. The sauce, by itself was very, uninspiring. It tasted like a canned sauce, possibly a long the lines of a supermarket generic brand. There was no extra seasoning or flavor to it. Mixed with the chicken and the mozzarella, it was ok. But quite disappointing. The noodles were the home style type. They were sticky and flavorless. You could almost taste the water they were boiled in, weird, I know. They clearly didn’t use any olive oil or salt when boiled. Very disappointing and I didn’t eat many of them. So, overall, a very disappointing experience and underwhelming considering the reviews I had read. Maybe it was an off day? But I would not recommend this place to a friend.

My husband and I have lived in downtown Denver for years, and are buying a house very near Romano’s. We decided to spend a Saturday evening exploring our new neighborhood, and stopped in to Romano’s for dinner. My husband spent a few years on the East Coast and really missed the little, local Italian restaurants that are out east. This is the spot. Everything we had was great. We tend to be sharers, so we got a Caprese salad which was amazing, the Triple Treat(Eggplant parm, spaghetti and your choice of meat, and cheese ravioli) which came with a bowl of soup(we got the minestrone which was exceptional) and we finished it off with a cannoli. Everything there was fantastic. The atmosphere was casual, and easy; we could see ourselves walking over for dinner with a family. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was great. I am so excited to have found our local joint in our new neighborhood!

Romano’s is standard American/Italian fare. It’s not fancy but it tastes good(except for the house Italian dressing, which used to be good, but on my last visit seemed to be watered down oil with peper). The home made spaghetti with meatballs is my go to dish. I ask for extra sauce and I’m never disappointed.

While the service is fast, unfortunately Romano’s food is neither fresh nor authentic Italian. Having gone to Romano’s years, sadly it seems that quality and attention to detail has declined. Not only was I informed that many items were fresh frozen, but I had the pleasure of watching the cook staff stuff luke warm, clearly WAYPRECOOKED noodles into carry out containers with their bare hands and immediately go back to their work. The meatballs are a saving grace, but it is not worth paying $ 35 for overcooked noodles, wilted salad, and unmemorable dessert. I hope quality of cleanliness, and the standard for fresh food will return. Until then, Romano’s, take care! We will not be back.

Packed when we arrived at 630 on a Thursday night and we quickly could see why. A few min wait and worth it. The family is super friendly and judging from the locals it is typical and just understood. Our server was great. Busy so please be patient with the staff. He had the side salad with blue cheese and the ravioli/spaghetti combo. Heads up the salad is lettuce with shredded cheese. Not a lot to it. I had the pasta sausage soup as my starter. — super spicy YAY!!! I ordered my tried and true Fettuccine Alfredo. Omg. Cleaned. My. Plate. Worth it. That’s why God invented Lifetime fitness. Just go with it. You only live once! The beer is cold. Best part? Have fun!!!

If you are looking for a fabulous Italian meal look no further, Romano’s has it covered. Since 1967 Romano’s has been in business, and they still pack the house on every occasion I’ve been in the restaurant. The décor is a little dated, but our waitress did say they were going to start making some upgrades soon. The tables are close to each other but I could hear both tables near me talk about how much they enjoyed their meals. We started with a half order of the bruschetta and it was fantastic. I would recommend ordering the half order for 2 people, if you order the full for 2 you will definitely have some left over. Romano’s is the perfect place to split a meal again if it is just the 2 of you, as their portions are quite large. Every pasta meal comes with salad or a soup. The house minestrone is the way to go. Salad is average. Being Italian I love homemade pasta, although it may be a little thick for some people’s tastes. Their red sauce is perfect. Tonight we enjoyed the chicken parm and it was cooked perfectly. Some places tend to over cook the chicken but not Romano’s. Finish off your meal with some very tasty tiramisu. After all the food you consume, you may be in a bit of a food coma, but hey it’s worth it. And on top of all that the service is always good.

The food is traditional American/Italian and very old school in terms of décor. I haven’t seen those pre-packaged breadsticks since I used to eat Kraft cheese and sticks packs in my lunch as a kid. But, we were craving Italian and this place hit the spot. My husband had the chicken parmesan and I had the half eggplant parmesan and half spaghetti. They looked like the exact same dish when they came out except mine offered a meatball with my spaghetti. I’m not sure what the half portion non-sense was about. I wish I had gone with traditional spaghetti instead of the homestyle, because it was a little too hearty for my taste. But that was my decision. We took another Unilocalers advice and tried the bruchetta. It was maybe my favorite bruchetta ever. But, although one other review mentioned a half order, we weren’t able to order a half so had 6 pieces of bruchetta and almost couldn’t finish it. Beware, it is very messy and you will need extra napkins! The warm garlic bread it was served on really made the dish though. We also split a Caesar salad to start. The large Caesar is the perfect size to share between two people and would have been perfect with 1.5 pieces of bruchetta instead of 3 each. Anyway, moving on from the bruchetta… the eggplant was VERY good. I think I preferred it to the chicken parm. Also, we got a free spumoni ice cream with a Unilocal check in and that was adorable and delicious. The house red wine in a liter for $ 12 was a ton of wine for the price and not terrible. We both had enough food to take home and have lunch the next day. Overall, Romano’s is a great place to go to if you haven’t eaten all day and are starving and are ready to fill your belly. If you’re looking for a lighter meal then this place probably isn’t the best option. It’s also not the cheapest dive in town. Although you do get a lot of food, it’s still between $ 11-$ 16 per plate without starters or drinks. I think we spent around $ 50-$ 60 before tip(with wine). But the service was quick and friendly. We were full and happy when we left but were definitely headed to the couch after all of that food!

Two plus years later, another update, and another five stars. It’s old school, it’s not pretty inside, and it would probably make Robert Irvine have a meltdown, but it’s an institution for a reason. Their homemade pasta is fantastic– I recommend substituting to it with whatever you order. The sandwiches are also a great deal; I’m of course partial to the eggplant parmesean, while my husband really likes the one with sausage and red pesto(no marinara). Speaking of which, I’m pretty sure their sausage is homemade, and I know the meatballs are. If you’re not a red sauce fan, other options are great as well– I love the chicken marsala, with the homemade noodles of course, and my husband vouches for the beef stroganoff. Portions are gigantic; you’ll get at least two servings for your order, and for a very good price. Service is informal but friendly if you eat in, and quite good if you get takeout as well. My takeout orders have always been ready within twenty minutes. No, it’s absolutely not fancy, but for tasty homestyle Italian food, I’ll keep recommending Romano’s to anybody.
