Free Confederate Breakfast with live lynchings, (although the coffee was instant –yuck!) I did appreciate being able to take advantage of their special white sheet cleaning services. Next time I am looking for that Southern Hospitality these people are just the Hotel masterrace any Aryan is looking for (but bring own coffee/​noose)

This is one of the dirtiest hotels you will ever visit… Just keep on driving. Dont stop here. There was feces on the walls and the a dog turd on the floor as we walked in. Stop here if you like the smell of fresh excrement. Oh and on my way out, the desk clerk tried to sell me crack.

The owners belong to a local KKK chapter they use the N-​word freely and told me so I checked out quickly seeing as we were a mixed family they seemed demonic in my opinion.

Apparently there is never a shortage of WHITE SHEETS in this hotel and town… because everyone wears them too!
I hope Corporate shuts you down and your little racist town gets all the exposure it deserves.

Awful, awful place. Rude staff, dirty facilities. I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here if you can help it.

They are mean and nasty. The establishment has rude, racists employees. The food is not cook well, the bathroom was not clean. I am ashamed to be white, they was so mean. This place this to shut down.

Sorry to say I can’t vouch for the pool, it had been emptied out and was being scrubbed down with bleach. Apparently they allowed some African-​American students from Michigan to swim in it, and felt this was the appropriate response.

Gotta say: a group of really nice students were staying the same night I did — high school kids on a college tour. Kept hearing the N-​word from the front desk in regards to these kids. Seems like they like cockroaches and dirty bedsheets a lot better than they like black people. This is the Econo Lodge that was founded during Reconstruction, apparently. Bigoted jerks.

Apparently, great place to stay, if you’re a racist.

I would’ve stayed here, but it had bed bugs, roaches, and they were all out of pillowcases, for some reason. Every Friday they have a cross burning. I hear its quite magnificent.

FLINT (WJRT) — (4÷15÷15) — What started off as an educational trip for a group of Flint high school students left them with an unfortunate lesson on racism.
Brittany Clerkley and a group of about 90 adults and teens were wrapping up a college tour. On their way back to Flint, their bus had mechanical issues. They ended up spending the night at the Econo Lodge in Live Oak, Florida. Coordinator Blake Odum says right after dinner, is when the trip took a much different and disturbing tone.
«It was owned by white people. And they started taking pictures of all the kids as we were walking in and out of the hotel,» said student Melissa Blacque.
«I heard one of the ladies, she said, ‘If i see one more of them, I’m calling the law,» said Coordinator Blake Odum.
Blacque says the students were peaceful, but felt uncomfortable at the hotel.
«They were calling us the N word and called Blake the N word. We were just like whoa,» said Blacque.
Odum says things felt so tense that to avoid any trouble, he tried to be proactive by calling police. When police arrived they told the group to stay in their rooms for the night. Odum says the officer left him with a chilling message.
«The officer pulled me to the side and said, ‘You know, I just want to let you know this area right off the interstate, people aren’t too accommodating to you all.’ And he said, ‘If you know what I mean.’ I said, Black people? And he said, ‘Yeah,’ said Odum.
The students tell ABC 12 overnight the staff antagonized them. The group says they were told to checkout the next morning immediately at 10. As they left, that’s when Odum says tensions reached a boiling point when he says he heard the manager say…
«We’re going to get these N****rs off our property. And I was blown back by that,» said Odum.
«To hear it come from an adult directly at children and then to our adviser in front of us was just like, wow!» said Blacque.
ABC 12 reached out to the Econo Lodge but our call was never returned.
«They should not get away with treating people like that,» said Clerkley.
We asked Odum for the reason why the group did not switch to another hotel.
«The bus company put us at this hotel even though we advised them against it. We were advised by the daughter of the owner of the bus company. She said her dad wanted to put us there because that was the most cost effective. And we were looking at what was the most safe. And they didn’t take that into consideration.»
Odum says they plan on taking legal action and have already called the hotel’s corporate headquarters.
Outside of the incident, leaders say the college tour was very successful and will continue next year.

Traveling through the hellscape of the Florida panhandle we came upon this rickety old dump. Though horrifying in many respects, it turned out to be very quaint and delightful get the chance to see and interact with real live inbred crackers in their habitat, gumming their grits like you only read about. While the folks who run this establishment most likely can’t read and certainly seemed dumber than a box of rocks, they were able to point us to some great local flavor including a cross burning, some kind of religious thing with snakes, and a hilarious performance of Dixie where none of the singers had any teeth whatsoever! Visit soon– though they walk upright, these people are simply too stupid and too inbred to fight the flow of evolution and they and their ilk will go the way of yetis and dodos.

— pool… literally two feet from the side of the highway across from a Wal-​mart … chhhhhhhhheck… ?
— one ultra-​fluorescent light for the whole room, comforters that made our skin crawl and creepy neighbors that spent 23 hours out of the day talking on the phone and smoking cigarettes outside of the huge window looking into our room: check ch-​check check check
— leatherface? amazingly not spotted during our stay
why two stars you ask? this place sounds horrible!
answer: the COMBINATION 24 hour breakfast, pawn and gun shop directly across the street. who DOESN’T want to have their double chicken fried steak waffles with a side of stuffed wildlife and hunting rifles!!!
