I work for solar and during this time we were looking for someone to fix a customers wood siding. Not only was Joe very friendly and informative but him and his team did an amazing job fixing the wood siding. They definately have an eye for details. The price was also very reasonable and I can only say that I would be more than happy to recommend him or use his company for any future projects. If you want something done top quality you have reached the right place.

Joe’s quality of work and craftsmanship is top notch! Both Joe and his crew work are reliable and timely. I’ve had H.I.P. Complete a few projects for me. From installing a door, centering and rewiring a ceiling fan, repairing a fence someone backed into I’ve never been disappointed. I appreciate that when his work has been completed the worksite is clean.

I’ll admit, Joe wasn’t my first choice but I am so glad he came to the rescue and will now always refer to him when I get myself into trouble! We recently used Joe’s services after I had«tapped» the mailbox for the 3rd time in a couple of years. My BF was very upset I had basically run over the mailbox yet again(he had to carry the mailbox and post in). So I began my search for someone to fix the mess. I contacted Dave the handyman and he wasn’t that great to deal with! He didn’t answer my questions and told me it couldn’t be done and that I had to get a new mailbox post. I felt he didn’t even try to solve the problem(further detail on Dave’s Unilocal page). Joe is completely the opposite! He examined the photos via email and text and asked all the questions to assess the situation. Thank goodness I didn’t have to order another mailbox post(Ruby Hill HOA makes everyone use the same mailbox) and Joe even welded together the piece that had broken off. Joe also gave me an estimate and updated me on what he was planning to do, etc. We coordinated so he would drop by when my BF was working from home. He came back the next day after setting the cement and put on the post. Now I have mailbox to run over! There were no issues at all and the work was great. He initially estimated $ 150 but bc of the cement, etc it became $ 200 which he told me before the work. What I liked about his services: 1) quick correspondence via text and email 2) constant updates and coordination of when he would arrive, the process, and costs 3) invoice(cash or check) 4) thorough followup So if you are searching for a local repair man, don’t hesitate to give Joe a call.

This business is always done professionally. He is punctual, no tricky stuff, and honest. I recommend him strongly. He worked on our kitchen cabinet, garage floor, ceiling lights, and fence doors. Two thumbs up!

I found Joe Cravotta through Unilocal while searching for general contractors who could replace damaged doors. Overall, I’ve been extremely pleased with the results. The highlights: 1) Joe communicated with me regularly during the entire quote/work/bill process. 2) His staff(primarily Angel) arrived on time for all service calls, and they answered all of my questions throughout the repair process(even questions unrelated to the immediate work at hand). 3) After the work was initially completed, Joe did a final examination of the repairs and made some additional recommendations/tweaks. 4) Regarding the price of the work being high, I can’t immediately address this given that I didn’t spend much time looking for quotes. However, when I provided the estimates to my insurance company, they said it was within their range; this suggests that Joe’s prices are common for a licensed contractor. 5) It’s a small, family-owned business! Again, I’ve been so pleased with his work that I’ve requested estimates for other projects I’d like done in the home.

We just had Joe come out again and this time he worked on the back of our house that had a water leak. We needed the wall to be repaired and he patched the hole and matched the color of paint, which was difficult in itself because the last paint job we had was around 10 years ago. His helper was fantastic and stayed with the job until it was done. So it took him one day to patch and paint. It was a very hot day, so all dried nicely. It looks fantastic, can’t even tell there was a hole in the wall. If you need a handyman and you want someone reasonable, fast and conscientious then give Joe a call, you won’t be disappointed.

I had a general contractor do the work for LESS and so the quality was top notch. In these hard financial times, there are a lot of well qualified people who can do the work for a fair price. So, I don’t see why a «handyman» needs to charge 2x as much. I did not take your sentence out the context of the egotism it implied. thanks.

Edit: a few years later, this person fails to return my 2 calls and 1 email. I liked his services(see orig post below) but having electrical problems and a handyman that doesn’t respond for many, many days, well that’s a bad combo. So 4 stars for the work he does but 1 star for responsiveness. — — — — — — — — – Old post: GREAT service, super fast, cleans up after he’s done. I had plumbing services and drywall repair done from Joe, and he really did an outstanding job. And he was very affordable, too.
