Captain Crust Pizza – Livonia

Horrendous experience! We ordered delivery from their website, and was quoted 45 minutes. After an hour, I called to check on the status, and was told that they made my food wrong, that it was just coming out of the oven, and that it would be another 45 minutes. I asked for a refund, was put on hold, then hung up on. My husband called back, asked for a refund for food that we’ve now been waiting for for an hour and a half, and was given attitude. He asked for a manager and was hung up on. My husband called again, demanded a manager, who was very unapologetic, who said we would get our refund. We’ve got a bet going to see if that actually happens. Don’t order from here. You’ll be waiting for something to not come, and receive atrocious service in the process.

The Giant pizza is great for a party. The 3 cheese bread is awesome! Italian subs are good too.

I would put NO stars… but I have to put 1 in order to write this review and warn people about this nastiness.
I’ve meant to write this review for a LONG time now and finally remembered to actually do it.
My fiancé and I always get pizza from the same place but when Captain Crust opened, just out of curiosity, we figured we’d give it a shot. MISTAKE. I had a gut feeling when the guy who was taking my order asked me four times what size I wanted and when he read my toppings back to me, he still got it wrong and when I asked if I could pay with my debit card over the phone I heard him yell to someone, «Hey! Can we do demits (yes, „demits“ not „debits“) over the phone yo?» As for the pizza itself…
CONS:
–It took TWO HOURS to get our pizza. 1 large pizza. We LITERALLY live around the corner. Maybe a 10 min. drive. That’s with red lights and lots of traffic.
–When we finally got it, it was cold. Like, we had to microwave it just to eat it.
–The crust tasted like it had recently been unfrozen and was super hard.
–The cheese had a strange aftertaste.
–The mushrooms were DEFINITELY not fresh. (I had been told by the fella on the phone that they were.)
–The bacon was burnt. Inedible burnt. Like, had to pick it off burnt. Ew.
PROS:
-…Although I was read back the wrong order in the first place, the toppings were what were read back to me. So… they just kinda put on the toppings they wanted.
We will NEVER eat there again.

I received the ad in the mail and decided to try their fried chicken and a couple of sides. The fried chicken was so dry basically inedible. The Mac and cheese was probably good when it was first made but very dry. Potatoes and gravy were very dry too. The corn bread was so dry it basically crumbled when I picked it up. They have only been open since December but doubt they will survive another 6 months. I’ll never go back.

The food here was beyond disgusting, they were missing half our order, they got the other half wrong. Our fish was raw, and the sides were very small and inedible. We called to complain that our order was wrong and the staff were rude and disrespectful. We will never eat here again.

This place rates a solid «meh» and here’s why…
The good:
–They did a nice job of renovating this old Baskin Robbins/​Dunkin Donuts.
–They have a pretty extensive menu.
–The dude at the counter was plenty friendly.
–The takeout was packaged well given the amount of liquid in the container.
–Good quantity of food for the money.
–Quality was ok.
–The glassed-​in dessert counter has a variety of enticing and fresh-​looking treats. (They appear mass-​made but appealing.)
The solid «meh»:
–Take a look at the picture of the rib tip dinner on 4−1−15. The ribs were SWIMMING in Open Pit.
–The Lima beans were salty and I couldn’t detect other seasonings.
–The cornbread had a decent flavor but crumbled to dust upon picking it up.
–The mac n cheese was ok. Nothing special and somewhat dry.
I’d recommend this place if you just want basic food, not if you’re looking for a memorable meal.

I tried the fried chicken gizzards and they were overcooked and dry, tough, and to crunchy will NEVER GET THEM AGAIN !!!

Food was delivered very quicky. The food on the other hand «soul food» Mac n cheese corn and meatloaf. We’re all cold. And dry. The corn tasted as if it were cooked over n over. Hopefully I caught them on a bad day. Shape it up guys.

I won’t ever eat here again! I paid extra to get white meat in my 4 piece chicken dinner and got two tiny thighs and 2 scrawny wings! I didn’t notice this until I got home. The macaroni side was small and tasted really bland. The only good things were the peach cobbler and the sauce on my rib tips (the rib tips were overcooked and dry, but the sauce was good). My kids normally LOVE pizza, but they didn’t like the pizza from there at all. Also, it took almost a half hour for them to give us our order. The owner was friendly, too bad the food wasn’t good.

Good food, great service and a friendly staff. The 24 inch pizza is a great option for our youth group, 36 slices
