Well this place I can say has really taken a dive in service for sure. When I first came here I was impressed with the extensive menu for a local bar. Of their appetizers the cheese bread was best. I have been here several times but the last 2 times I just had a beer. The bartender took a long time to get me a draft or to even acknowledge I had sat at the bar. This exact same thing happend to me about one year ago at this same place, that’s why I hadn’t been back. There were several good sporting events on and I asked about changing the channel to the NBA playoff game. The bartender said ok but never turned it, I guess I could have reminded but I was just not that concerned. I went to Dave and Busters and I didn’t even have to ask the NBA game was on, as well as hockey and the baseball game they had on at Docs. The customer service has gone from welcoming to non welcoming.

What happened Doc’s? It use to be my crews once a week hot spot now it’s just sad, wings where dry and luke warm, beer was cold what they had on tap, places is looking a little run down and starting to get that funk beer smell to it, use to be you could get two tall boys and 2lbs of wings for under $ 20, now there happy hr or lack of happy hr is a joke, it’s never been same

We frequently go here for happy hour. Price on appetizers and drinks is very good at happy hour. Wings are excellent. Only difference between mild and hot is that they throw some sliced jalapenos on the hot. The waitresses are scantily dressed and it’s not attractive. Also, if you are a mixed table be prepared to be ignored. Wait staff is always talking to tables of guys — I assume they think they will generate more tips this way. Food and beverage good, service awful. We have moved tables, talked to new manager — it makes no difference. Women are apparently invisible when sitting in this establishment. Also, waitresses should be trained to go to each table they are assigned and give«last call» for happy hour. We spent 15 minutes looking for our waitress before the end of happy hour, and she was in kitchen. She then told us Happy Hour ended… no duh! Love the location, sports and food, but the place needs a professional customer service trainer.

The beer was cold. That’s the only good thing to say about this place. Service was slow, orders were wrong. Staff was friendly that was about it.

First and foremost, make no mistake, this is not a world class steakhouse. This a sports bar that was new in the 90’s as well as the TV projectors that have interesting tones. However, if you keep the aforementioned description in mind, you will truly enjoy yourself. The pizza and calzones were delicious complimented by a solid draft beer selection of domestic and craft, and good service. To make it an even better experience, the prices are very reasonable.

Make no mistake, this is an old school sports bar. I bet they were worried when Dave and Busters moved in next door? From what I can tell they function as an overflow… the wait is way shorter. TV’s are a bit dated with a mix of old projection, tubes and a few newer flat screens. Waitress disappeared and manager had to track her down. Table ordered the veggie wrap, NY strip and a Greek Salad. Calamari app was over done. French Onion was delicious. Wrap was good and steak passable but expensive at 19 bucks. I would come back here but definitely could use some improvements.

Terrible service and food is ok. They over charged us for our beers. And the bartender was super rude. I would not go back

It’s bar food(which is totally fine at a dive place with a fabulous atmosphere), but the several times I’ve been(at least 5+ over the last couple years) I’ve had terrible, terrible service. No matter where I sit(booth, bar, etc) I haven’t had a good server. This seems odd to me… Perhaps there is something weird with their order entry system that takes up more time than needed from the servers?!?. Or maybe it’s one of those places where women just can’t get good service because they are busy with the male customers… Either way, Doc’s is somewhere that I would go if I were invited by someone who insisted, but I would eat before hand and really lower my expectations. Little Daddy’s(practically located within the same parking lot) might have less of a «sports» vibe, but I’ve always had good service & food there.

Good drink prices. Charity poker room & indoor patio w/huge windows & bar. Lots of TVs. Great pizza & wings. Cali club is the best sandwich on the menu & the turkey burgers are better than anyplace I’ve ever had one.

Beer was cheap($ 2.75 for talls of Coors Light and Miller Light). Burger was average or less(ordered the black and blue). Got there just before 10 on a Monday night. No atmosphere to speak of. And, oh, by the way, they are not open till 2 am. It was 11 pm when I went. Not sure I would have stayed longer anyway. Checking out another place tonight. Best thing about it? It’s almost walking distance from the Embassy Suites.

Came here to celebrate finals with a group of friends. We made sure they knew how many were coming a week beforehand. Got there around lunch, and there were only four tables busy. We were only given three servers for a large group. The worst service I’ve had in a long time. Took a long time to get drinks. Staff was brusque and rude. Wait staff was making faces at the customers when they though no one was looking. My friend came a little later and tried to order. The waitress literally stated«yeah not me» and rolled her eyes. Needless to say he ordered straight from the bar after that. Tried to get the bill. That took 20 minutes. Tried to talk to the hostess or manager about the service, and was met with disinterest. I will not be returning.

This place had the absolute worst food I’ve ever had. The chicken on the nachos was cat food quality, the calamari was the weirdest and grossest ever, and this«bistro sauce» had this almost sour tang to it, that was just dreadful. Service was poor as well, but nothing stole the show from the bad food. NEVERGOINGBACKAGAIN.

If you’re looking for a place with cheap beer specials, bad, yet expensive food, and service that can be rightly compared to that at a Soviet gulag, then Doc’s is your place. It gets worse as the evening wears on and it’s clear the staff has made what they think is enough money and dedicate themselves to rolling silverware and gossiping with each other in their little waitress station. There are plenty of TVs – yes. Sadly, only the ones at the bar seem to be other than something trash-picked off a curb after last summer’s flooding. If you want to watch a sporting event, you’re in great shape, but you’d better be a lip reader because there is no sound for any, anywhere. Occasionally, you will run into a server who is professional – and the bus staff is really on top of things, but it’s very clear the manager, dressed like a lumberjack in a shirt straight out of Dukes of Hazzard, is more interested in being the«cool mom» and enabling her terrible staff to destroy what could be a decent place. Your odds of getting a waitress openly hostile to your presence is about 80%. The odds of getting one who forgets your order, never smiles, or brings you food that is unpresentable are higher. If you go after 10, be ready to walk over to the much nicer new Dave and Buster’s next door. They have stated closing times, not a floating closing time arbitrarily set by waitresses who have made«enough» and beg the manager to close so they can go home, or wherever it is they go. Closing may be 11, 12, 1, 2– it’s a crap shoot. I have watched the bar area emptied of twenty patrons so they could close an hour early. On the bright side, if you are unsuited to food and beverage service, have been fired for a bad attitude, and want to be employed someplace that won’t fire you if you suck up to the«momager», stop by Doc’s for an application.

Doc’s Sports Retreat is a good choice to watch a ball game with a group of friends or to grab a drink with your softball team. It has a decent selection of beer and offers decent bar food. Food prices are reasonable, and drink prices are lower than average. That said, service is indifferent and their non-bar-food entrees are nothing to write home about.

I’ve talked to people who LOVE this place, but to me it is meh at best. So to start, i’m told 30 minutes to get a table, but wait… there are many tables and booths open. ok so I figure i’ll wait in the bar with a beverage while waiting for a table to come up. I sit at a table, and waited, and waited, and waited… no waitress, then finally she takes the order, and apparently the 30 minutes was up and the host people came and got me. Luckily the bar waitress was as slow getting the drinks as she was to come to the table, so this way I had a beverage faster at the table. The dinning room waitress was very nice, very quick and was attentive. So time to order, I was going to order the prime rib but, apparently they don’t serve it cooked to order, you get it made to their specifications, which is crazy to me… I like it rare and they tell me medium well is the best they can do, which tells me its a hunk of meat just sitting in a warmer or microwave. No thanks! So i’ve heard about the lobster mac-n-cheese from people as well as the waitress, so i’m thinking this sounds good… WRONG. The mac-n-cheese is like boxed stuff and the lobster was imitation and not chunks, rather it was small shredded pieces, @ 14.99 for this it was a total tasteless expensive fail in my book, something I could have prepared better. On the side was a stale single bread-stick that was about 3 inches long and dried up and gross. But before I move on, I got the clam chowder as the choice of soup or salad, and it was not good at all, it was mediocre at best and I believe the clam pieces where borderline as far as expiration date or were cheap, because the clam meat was quite fishy smelling and tasting and was mushy. Worst I ever had. no kidding! My companion had the teriyaki chicken. The chicken was overcooked and there were chunks of pineapple sliced sitting on the chicken, which normally is fine, except the pineapple pieces were larger than the meat and totally hid what was on the plate, really unappealing. The takeaway was not that the teriyaki chicken was bad, its just that it was tough, and the lobster mac-n-cheese was pretty bad. All in all, the place is big, looks appealing, is really noisy due to the type of ceiling and loud mouthed drunks, has super slow service in the bar area, has a manager who looks generally confused and just walks around not really seeing problems. on a positive note, there is no shortage of TV’s and you could supplement your tan during the winter months here, the bathrooms were clean, and happy hour drink specials aren’t too bad. Bottom line: Would I recommend Doc’s? No way Would I return? Doubtful and only if it was with a group of friends. Did I get value and quality? NOWAY, i’ve had better food and quality in a greasy spoon with a short order cook named Vinny preparing it! If your not sure and on the fence about going here, I wouldn’t risk it!

It was food. It was edible. I didn’t get food poisoning, which was a thought that ran through my head. The service was fine — nothing outstanding. She came back from her smoke break and smelled strongly of cigarettes, which I don’t recall noticing on any other wait staff I have ever had. Our silverware was brought after we got our food, and he let it drag across my plate. Thankfully it was just the napkin so I wasn’t about to put a big stink up over it. There was a lot of people there for the football game, and the reasonable drink specials. Don’t plan on going back, but if you end up there the beef tacos were okay. Not the most flavor, but it wasn’t greasy(thankfully unlike most bar food).

Holy hell not a good day for docs sports retreat in terms of service. Literally watched as my section began to get increasingly frustrated with the lack luster service of some completely overwhelmed server Michelle. Honestly haven’t been here in a long time and now I no why … Server 243 blahhh C’est La vie docs… C’est LA vie

Doc’s is a good place to watch a game, the amount of TVs are almost overwhelming(is it necessary to have a TV in every booth?). It is also a good place for groups. What it is not a good place for is a place to bring a large group of children and leave them to their own table and own devices. Especially when they decide to play by the fire exit and set off the alarm. It is also not a place to expect a great meal. The menu has a variety, mostly of typical bar food. I had the turkey burger, California style(apparently this means avocado and cheese). The burger was fine, the guac did help wake it up. My issue was that the burger came on bread. I may not have read the menu carefully to have realized this but the result was that the bread went the flat and soggy route quickly. The side of sweet potato fries was much better, especially with the honey mustard for dipping. We came on a Sunday so the other good news was the $ 3 you-call-its at starting at 9pm.

First, let me say I will never come here again. Secondly, service was fine but the food took awhile to get out. When it arrived I had wished it never came. Ordered the golf club sandwich and buffalo chicken wrap. Both came with chips that were extremely bland and tasted like burnt Pringles. Our dill pickle and coleslaw never came with it like the menu said apparently. The club sandwich was the worst I ever had(I get clubs everywhere I go). The toast was burnt, hard, and dry. The tomatoes were mushy as if frozen. And the cheese slices were processed singles, probably Great Value. The wrap was filled with frozen grilled chicken but had mostly coleslaw, lettuce, and huge bleu cheese pieces. Needless to say, it was not very appetizing(that’s being extremely nice). The prices were slightly higher than normal for comparable menu items at other popular places. Which made me expect something of taste when ordering. Boy was I wrong. If these items were a dollar or two cheaper, than I would have gotten what I paid for and wouldn’t have complained. But seeing I paid more for less, I’m leaving extremely disappointed. For example, if I go to BDUBS I expect some good wings for the prices they charge. If I go to Frickers, I know the prices are lower so don’t expect as good of quality food. Summary: This dining experience was a fail.
