Leo’s Coney Island

Leo’s is the only Coney Island I prefer to eat at. Their dressing on the Greek salad is perfect. Lemon Rice soup is creamy with a nice hint of lemon that doesn’t overpower the chicken base. Coneys have a great chili topping and I love their fries. It is a place that my husband and love to pop into when we just need quick service and quality food.

The chicken lemon rice soup is fantastic. Our server told us all the soups are made from scratch by a little old lady who does only that. And she’s GOOD at it.

The quality of their food has gone down so much since new ownership. How they are still associated with the Leo’s brand is beyond me! I have hair in my food every time I have gone. I decided to give it one last shot and ordered a patty melt and the beef was rancid and the pickles on the side were so old and sour I almost threw up. Stay away from this location at all cost!

Food is always good. Love the village salad with chicken. The small is huge. Staff is always friendly and always pretty clean.

This is the best Leo’s of the chain. Always clean, the waitstaff is fast and friendly and the food is always good.

Perfectly average place I always love the chicken finger pita and I do enjoy the staff it is a cony island. he food is not great and it is usually pretty busy and somewhat loud but over all I would say if you need a quick lunch it is worth it.

Decent food for a decent price with a decent staff. What more could a hungry gal want???

Born and raised on Leo’s as «our» local coney, I have since moved on and really prefer other Coney type places. I find most Leo’s to be run down, poor quality food and terrible service. HOWEVER… this Leo’s is the exception. Its clean, friendly and prompt service, and the quality of the food is up there as well. I am pretty predictable when it comes to my order (greek salad w/​chicken, feta on the side) but I also got Lemon rice soup on my last visit which was piping hot and filling, tasted delicious.

Leo’s Coney Island on 8 mile absolutely lied to my face and told me that their veggie burger was in fact a vegan one and did not contain any mushrooms or dairy after consulting with garden burgers official ingredient list I found that there’s not only cheese but skim out another type of milk as well as three varieties of mushrooms thank you Leo’s Coney Island I need to go the hospital now for an allergic reaction… Don’t be surprised if I send you the bill.

I get carryout from here often. The food is always very good and the prices very reasonable. At the busiest times, the wait is only 10 minutes. I enjoy that they serve breakfast all day.

Today I had the Meatloaf Dinner Special. Delicious! It had meatloaf, mixed veggies and, mashed potatoes. They also had a good selection of other special items. There normal menu is quite large. The lemon rice soup was also good. I’LL BE BACK!

Went there on Saturday August 17, 2013 around 3PM. The place was filthy. The wait staff and bus boys were crammed into a back booth horsing around acting inappropriately. They were so loud they ruined my meal. I will never go back.

GREAT service. Friendly staff. Our food is always what we order, and if it is not, they always make it right. When we order takeout, they always have our food ready within 5 – 10 minutes. Can’t complain about his location at all. When family members come to Michigan, they always request that we take them to this Leo’s Coney Island for their «coney fix». The chicken lemon rice soup is wonderful, as is the Chicken Greek Salad. Of course, the coney dogs are the best too. Love this place! So glad to live close by. Highly recommend!

Best Leo’s I’ve eaten at. Food is delicious and staff is always friendly.

I don’t live in Michigan anymore, but when I come to visit my parents I make sure to stop at Leo’s at least once… maybe twice. Their service is fast, the staff is friendly and remember my parents and I by name and my food is always delicious (I always order Greek Salad and Cheesy Fries). I am actually headed to MI this weekend! Can’t wait to get my Coney fix!

Great dinner with my son :) At 6:30 the place was packed! Loved our waitress. She was so nice, smiling and albeit busy, made sure we got what we needed.
I enjoyed the Gyro and is one of the few places that you don’t need to ask for extra T sauce. Too many red onions. I would leave those off next time. I would like just a couple more pieces of gryo meat in the sandwich. Fries were HOT HOT HOT
Son ordered chicken strips and fries. He enjoyed the fries more than the chicken strips. These are the pounded flat chicken strips. Unfortunately, if you overcook them they are tough and chewy and don’t really have a lot of meat. The meal was served hot and albeit not his favorite type of chicken strips, he enjoyed his meal.
Brought home some lemon rice soup for hubby and he said it was delish!

I’m lucky to work around the corner from this little jewel. The food is always great and the service never leaves me wanting. The chicken lemon rice soup is fabulous, the chicken greek loaded with good stuff and the chili cheese fries are yummy yummy. I’ve gotta say too that their hotdogs are the good kind that have a little snap to them. Kudos for coney at Leo’s.

How can you not love Coney Island. I don’t live in Michigan anymore, but whenever I return, I head to Coney Island. Chili cheese fries!
