Twisters Ice Cream Shop

My husband and I were visiting Mt. Morris, some 30 minutes from Twisters, but we made the drive anyway (passing up three ice cream places in Mt. Morris to get there) based on a flyer we saw. The flyer indicated that this was «an old fashioned soda fountain shop». It is not! It’s quaint and has places to sit inside and out but it’s like every other ice cream shop with ice cream behind glass and no soda fountain bar at all. I can not tell you about how it tastes as we were so disappointed we just left. I was expecting an old soda fountain place like my mom took me when I was a kid or at least like in the movie It’s a Wonderful Life. Not! Had it not been advertised the way it was our expectations would not have been doused. Sorry but don’t say you’re something you are not.

Twisters is amazing!
I have friends in the area and always make sure to swing by when I’m around.
My parents also always stop in whenever they make a visit to Geneseo, where they graduated from college.
You’ll find a number of great snack foods available, which are a relatively new addition! I personally remember enjoying the mozz sticks.
But, the real highlight is the ice cream!
Almost every time I come I get a shake, it’s probably my favorite place to get one and is the standard I hold all other shakes to.
If you aren’t looking for a shake, there are tons of good ice cream options. They make a number of the flavors themselves, and those are definitely the best– ask if you aren’t sure, you won’t be let down!
While you eat, enjoy the old time ice cream shop vibe and check out some of the pictures from summers past they have up on the wall. If the owners are in, make some conversation! They’re always enjoyable to talk to.
Twisters is a must stop if you find yourself in Western NY!
